Razz had driven all around Ponyville with the kids on board his scooter and in the wagon attached to the back. First they'd stopped at a strange-looking store with fishing lures in the window. Razz had talked to someone in the store for a good long while. When he came out, it seemed all he had to show for it was a big shovel. He said it was a surprise and not to worry.
He drove next to the cafe. He thought it was a good idea to get baskets full of goodies, just in case they needed a snack while they were out. Then he'd driven to the Bloomin' Blossom Shop to pick up some knapsacks for the kids so they could "collect" things while they were out and have somewhere to put them.
Finally he stopped to pick up Bandit, his doggie friend. It was a pretty tight squeeze, but they managed to make room for everything on the "Razz Train." He'd driven around Ponyville for a while, just putting the new scooter through its paces and giving the kids a thrill and now they were headed out of town.
Razz was speeding along the dirt road outside of Ponyville, which ran along the Greener-than-Green Meadow. There were a few bumps in the road-ok, a lot of bumps and a few apples had fallen off the back, but otherwise he had kept things together rather nicely and hadn't noticed if anyone had gotten scooter-sick or anything like that. It was, after all, the farthest thing from his mind at the moment.
Razz was driving up to the Lavender Mountains and seemed to looking for a specific spot because he'd slow down, race up again, slow down, speed up... and trees of the forest were coming up closer now. There was a bunch of large rocks at the edge of the meadow by the trees and what looked like a large flag stuck in the ground.
"That's it!" Razz said. He pressed his foot to the pedal until they were racing at breakneck speed into the field and as soon as they were near the rocks and the flag, he put the brake on. The scooter screeched to a halt and the wagon almost tipped over, but then rocked back into position.

"Wow, that felt like FLYING!" Loo was first to jump off the scooter. "Atleast I suppose so." Those adventures were good for the filly. It gave her something else to think of for a while. "A glittering stone!" A pebble was reflecting the sun. It was the third Loo had picked up. "Thanks Razzaroo for taking us out on adventures!" The little pegasus beamed.

"You're very welcome!" Razz said, just now struggling with the little peg's name. Gosh were there really that many of them now? Or was he always this forgetful? "Waaaiiit a minute. You look familiar. Are you that super model? What's your name? Flashy Fire Wings? OOO! Can I have your autograph?"

"Waaaiiit a minute. You look familiar. Are you that super model? What's your name? Flashy Fire Wings? OOO! Can I have your autograph?" "No," the little peg giggled. "I´m just Honolu-Loo." Her ewes were big and admiring. Razz was a nice pony, and she liked him. Yes, now she knew she would find her place at the nursery. [[Ah, her name was´nt 'Honow'. >.< I´ll never learn the "new" one. I found it on a flyer on your site ]]

Needless to say, Sherbet thuroughly enjoyed the scooter ride.
At the end, she (purposefully) fell out and rolled a few feet before standing up with her trademark grin and a "that was fun!"
Karma was less than thrilled by the ride, but held on well and wasn't even sick at the end. Afterall, she had lived a good chunk of her life near Dark, and surviving that says alot.

"Honolu-Loo, that's right," Razz said. He clicked his hooves together and then span around in a circle. "Another pretty super model! I bet you'll be one when you grow up."
He walked over to the wagon and rustled around until he found the shovel. He knocked it against the ground a few times to shake off some old dirt.
"Ok, who wants to dig? Need someone strong. Can't be me, cuz, look at me, I'm all jelly and stuff." He wiggled and wobbled and shook like one of Cotton Candy's jello snacks.

"I'll dig", Mesmira said softly as she stuck a hoof into the air. "I can do it." She was usually more stand off-ish, but was in an especially good mood from the scooter ride - heck, she was still grinning! ((Yah - it's Honolu-Loo. I just thought you were shortening it. But I had a question - she's made to clip onto that wing thing at the top of the playset, so the toy doesn't actually have wings, does she?))

Razz handed Mesmira the shovel. "Over here." He waved her to the soft spot of dirt marked by the flag. The earth was already tilled, as if someone had been there before... In fact, someone had been there before. Earlier that day, while Razz was driving all over town, the pony he'd hired to help set up this "treasure hunt" had come out here to bury a big old black trunk down beneath this very spot. (I think her wings are just molded closed to her body... )

((Gotcha - the clearest picture I've seen of her was the crummy glarey box pic from the toy fair site. )) Meera looked at the ground and wondered about the disturbed earth - she's played too many tricks on others to not know a trick when she saw one. But Razz was doing this to be nice, and she wanted to have fun like all the other foals. Besides - there might just be some wierd thing going on with the ground in that place. She turned to Razz, convinced that he would not lie. "Did some pirates bury their treasure there?"

[[Oh, Sil, that´s even more gorgeous. Actually, I had a bad picture of her too. And that´s why, I guess, I named her Honow. 'Cause the lil' letters was hard to read.]] Honolu-Loo giggled again. Everything was getting so exciting, too! What if there really was pirates who had hidden a treasure there? "Perhaps we should´nt dig it up," the white little foal said, thoughtfully. "Or the pirates might be angry."

"Nope!" Razz shook his head. "It's not pirate treasure, although there might be some somewhere out there." He motioned to the big wide meadow and the mountains. "That's the beauty of the world, you see? There is treasure everywhere. Sometimes right under our noses!!!"
He tweaked Honolu's nose and produced, as if by magic, a large silver coin. Then he laughed and showed her how he did it, so she wouldn't get confused and think her snot made magic money.
"You just have to teach yourself how to see it. Or in some cases how to make it happen. " He winked. "So, how about it? You want to learn? I'll teach you some very important things I know about looking for treasure."
"First of all, you have to have a home base. You can't just run around willy-nilly and not have a place to go back to. Where would you keep your socks? We could use the nursery, but sometimes when you're on the road you don't have a house. So, you have to pick a meadow or a glen or a cave. Today, this is going to be our home base." He pointed to the fresh tilled earth, the rocks, the overhanging trees at the edge of the meadow.
"Now, you have to imagine you've been away on the road for a while. You wouldn't leave the doors to your house unlocked while you were gone, right? You'd lock them up! Or someone might steal your stuff! That's really mean. So you take precautions. One of the easiest precautions you can take on the road is investing in a good shovel. Then you can bury all your things so no one knows they are there. I prefer a #2 gardening shovel, for small, every day buryings. Otherwise you need a big boy like this one right here. Sometimes I bury my big shovels with my little shovel, but...well, that's a little advanced for now. Let's just get back to our home base."
He walked in a circle around the spot where the box was buried.
"All the stuff we need for our home base is buried here in the ground. But before we start to dig, who can tell me at least three things wrong with this picture?"

Honolu laughed at Razzaroo´s jokes. After he had told the foals about treasure hunts, she also wanted to help digging.
[[Uhm, yeah short. >.<]]

Mesmira looked at the ground, and tried to see something wrong. She decided to just take a stab at it. "Well, there's a flag here so...maybe someone could guess there was stuff buried there and steal it?"

Razz nodded and smiled. He plucked the flag out of the ground.
"Never mark your spot! You want your spot to be as secret as possible. You also want it to blend in as much as possible with the rest of the area. This dirt is all dug up and the grass is messy and torn. Any good treasure hunter would notice that and think there might be something there. So whenever you dig a hole, you have to be careful! Save as much of the grass as you can and look for other natural coverings. Gravel or large rocks or even leaves in Autumn. The key is to think like Mother Nature and do what she does."
"Once you have a spot, don't write it down and don't make a map. Keep it all up here." He pointed to his head. "Don't drive your scooter up to it in a mad rush either. Take your time. Make sure no one's followed you. And dig it up in secret. We're also too close to the road. You really wouldn't want to put your secret place where anyone could see you digging. Or you'd have Nosy-Posey ponies bothering you all the time. But this is just a training exercise anyway, so it's OK this time." He stood back to let them have room. "Ok, let's dig up camp!"
If all went to plan, the big black trunk in the ground would have inside it at least one large green tarp, some blankets, several lengths of strong rope, metal stakes, a sharp axe, a broad mallet, three flashlights, several gardening shovels, a tinder box, a first-aid kit, and a box of small, metal whistles on leather cords. And who knew what else might have ended up in there? He was kind of forgetful. He might have asked for some cabbages, but that didn't make sense at the moment. It could have been a box of granola bars. That made more sense.

((*eyes dart around, searching for Hasbro spies* What do you want to bet Hasbro will some out with a pony names "Nosy-Posey" in the near future?)) Mesmira smiled when she heard she was right. Razz was actually a cool grown-up - she'd never heard of grown-ups teaching foals to properly bury treasure before. She started digging in the correct spot, which wasn't entirely difficult since the ground was still loose from the last time it had been dug up. The filly's eyes widened when she heard a muffled thud. "I hit something!", she squealed. She realized that she hadn't gotten this caught up in something for a looong time.
