(Italics represent thoughts. Victory is not the type to talk to herself. ) Whoa... what happened here? Victory thought as she hurried down the street. About a half-dozen buildings had been toasted down to ashes. The air smelt of rain, so she was able to guess how the fire was extinguished. The unicorn slowed slightly, dodging past the few remaining spectators and staring in awe at the charred ruins. Wonder what idiot started the fire. Probably some moron who left their oven on. Victory rolled her eyes, then came to a halt in front of an apartment complex. This was the place. Hauling her two suitcases containing all her worldly goods (She believed in travelling light), Victory walked the three flights of stairs that would bring her to her new home. Ah... Apartment 312. Home sweet home. The unicorn set down her bags long enough to shove the key into the lock, then proceeded to kick them into the narrow hallway of her new home. Once quick glance was all Victory needed. Yep. This place is a dump. I'd be better off living in those lumps of coal a few houses back. Much as Victory would have loved to stay and get better aquainted with the paper-thin, cracking walls, Victory still had lots to do. Leaving her bags in front of the door, she walked out, shutting the door with a tad more force than nessicary. (Whew, that was long! Continued elsewhere, folks.)

The dead silence of Victory's apartment was interrupted by the soft chiming sound of a unicorn winking. The kitchen was lit up momentarily by a bright flash of light, and presto! Victory was back in all her glory. She had a few nasty bruises and some even nastier burns, but looked quite satisfied. Honestly, you try to heal a guy and his girlfriend torches your face. Oh well. Fight fire with fire, they always say... Victory chuckled to herself. It was pretty convenient for whoever lived here last to have left so much of their stuff behind... Victory had heard that the pony had gone missing and hadn't been seen for years, or was murdered. Heck, they coulda just been eccentric, Victory mused as she pulled the potted aloe plant off the windowsill. "Sorry plant, I've got major burns and you have leaves to spare."

Finally finished tending to her injuries, Victory glanced at the clock. "Oh shades... I've been gone for hours!" Great way to start the first day of work. Get in a fight and show up hours late. Abso-friggin'-lutely wonderful. Victory hastily dashed out the door, locked it, then ran out.

Victory walked in and sighed. All in all, it had been a pretty good day... Tiring, but good. She flopped onto the couch and pulled a dog-eared book off the coffee table. Hum. A book of fairy pony legends. How intellectual. Nevertheless, she flipped the book open and began reading.
Long before there were ponies, or grundles, or bushwoolies, before even Ponyland, there was nothing. An expanse of dark silence that stretched on forever. The Seven saw this and were saddened. "This is not right," The first born, a pure white stallion with a mane the deep color of blood, cried to his siblings. "I agree, brother," Replied the youngest, black as day with a tail the shade of violets. "But what shall we do about it?" "We should destroy this darkness," The First cried, "and replace it with a light, pure and whole." "But wouldn't it be unwise to destroy so much of a good thing? Darkness is cooling, soothing..." The First and Seventh couldn't agree. The First wanted no more darkness, and the Seventh now wanted no light at all. Finally, the middle child, the Fourth, stepped forward. "Brother, sister! Why must it be one way or the other?" He flicked his emerald green tail calmly. "For if there is nothing but darkness, how will we know it is dark... if there is no light to contrast it? Like my ashen gray coat, not everything is so black and white." The Seven all nodded to each other. It was agreed. They would create a world of light and joy, of darkness and sorrow, of balance.

Victory shut the book and set it down. It was no use... worry kept gnawing at the back of her head. What if Arianna was lost or something? The unicorn knew it was stupid of her to be concerned... not like anything evil would be prowling in Ponyville (OOC: Ha ha ha.). The big cities were unusually safe. Still... She sighed, closing her eyes and picturing Arianna's face. This never was as accurate as winking to a location, but it was better than nothing. A flash of light illuminated the dim apartment, and Victory winked out.
((OOC: I got asked to watch over Arianna, so off Victory goes. Blee hee.))

Victory walked back into the apartment, and carefully dropped Arianna onto the bed. Whew... She's heavier than I thought. Maybe humans aren't made of air, stupid. She flopped down onto the floor, panting slightly. At least nobody had followed her... Yet, knowing my luck. Victory sighed. At this rate, she was going to have a nervous breakdown. What she needed was to relax a little... She was pretty tired... a good night's sleep would clear her mind... The unicorn stifled a yawn.

((Special post!^^)) "I am what?"
"You are special."
"What makes me so special from any other girl? Or, any other person for that matter!"
"Everything."
"Is my mother different?"
"In her own unique way."
Arianna looked around her. Planets began to form, stars, and moons, and suns. She touched a floating planet, she felt it's life, it wasn't earth, but another planet, very much like earth, with living breathing..things. She felt everything that planet ever felt in one moment. Pain, love, sorrow, joy. She felt it all in a instant. She jerked her hand away from the planet, and it exploded. It's pieces flew into other planets, destroying, or harming them. She gasped as a dust over took that one solar system, and then in a instance, it started over again. She turned again, and there she saw them. Seven suns, all aligned, a red sun, a orange sun, a yellow, a green, a blue, a indigo, and a violet sun. She looked to the direction of the voice.
"Seven.." She whispered softly. "One for each color of the rainbow..Seven, the holy number." She let out a sigh. "Seven"

I just hope Arianna's alright... Victory settled into a more comfortable position, her eyelids drooping. Maybe I should stay awake a little longer in case... she... wakes... up... Her eyes slowly closed as Victory slowly drifted to sleep.

Arianna sat up in the bed. "Goodbye." She whispered, and was instantly engulfed in white light, gone forever.

Victory mumbled something in her sleep, eyes clenching. What was that light? Couldn't anyone see she she was trying to sleep? ...Whatever. She relaxed once more.

That light is you Victory, wont you be a light in the darkness?
The bright yellow glow lit up the dark room as it settled over Victory's sleeping body. It seeped into her skin and left the room with a single aura-like nightlite in the form of a pony.
Yellow - the intelligence.

Moving through the halls Chief arrived at Victory's apartment. He knocked on the door three times, swiftly. It might take a while to convince Victory to come with him, It might not.
"Victory." he said calmly, rather quietly, "Come out." He waited for Victory to emgere.

Victory flicked her head irritably. The light just wouldn't go away... And now someone was knocking at her door. Rainbow above... what time is it, anyways? Half-asleep, she staggered to her feet and nudged the door open. Needless to say, she was less than thrilled to see Chief. "What d'you want?" She blinked drowsily. Oh, Chief was glowing. It must have been him that was making that annoying light.
...
Waiiit...
"Uh... Jello-for-Brains, word of advice: Do NOT bathe in chemicals. You're glowing."

Victory glanced down at herself. "Huh... fancy that. Any particular reason you've awoken me at the crack of dawn to alert me of this?" Well, that explained the glow that was bugging her. It didn't appear harmful, either. But what did it mean? Feeling unusually smart for being dead tired, the mare searched her thoughts. "Any particular reason why we're different colors? There must be more of us... What do you think? Seems to be a pattern here to me. Yellow, indigo... there must be other colors, too. How do we find them?"
