Jol stood still as Silence headed towards him. So delighted was the unicorn to see the little one healthy that he nuzzled the tiny pegasus back. Eyes followed to what Silence was gesturing towards. Jol nodded his head as though in approval when he spotted Shade.
Having heard Mooney, Jol dipped his head out of gratitude before accepting the muffin she held.
"That is most kind of you." Jol said, "Thank you."
Breaking a small enough piece off so that Silence wouldn't choke on it, the unicorn offered it to the little pegasus. After Silence took the bite Jol broke off another piece and waited until he was finished before offering him more.
For one brief second Jol's eyes went wide with surprise upon hearing the word 'father'.
Father? How on rainbow did they jump to that conclusion?
"No." Jol said the one word reply firmly.
Realizing that nothing had been explained and hating to explain anything, ever, the unicorn gritted his teeth before clarify his answer more.
"Butterscotch found the foal alone in the forest." Jol shifted eyes to look at the mare that had remained quiet all this time, "I happened to be nearby, and carried him into your town."
Jol said nothing more. Bringing up the little fight in the square would be of no use and only cement him as some sort of riff raff in their minds. Instead he let them think what they wanted, they would anyway, and he didn't care.

Moony smiled and nodded her head delightfully...
"Oh..." Moony said sadly after hearing about the little foal being found in the forest. She glanced at the little foal. He was so tiny and looked so hopeless. Was he abandoned? Or was it a different story to why he was all alone? "I'm so sorry..." She whispered to no one in partically, though probably the foal. "... But the real parents would come back for him... won't they..." She murmured hopefully. "And at least you found him and that now he is well." She managed a smile.

Razz's eyes were as big as summer picnic plates as he listened to Shade's tale of summoning. But his demeaner dropped as he listened to Jol tell of how they had found the little foal alone in the woods. He suddenly had a sad look about him.
"Maybe they simply left him behind?" he offered.

Sahde glanced at Silence with interest. "Abandoned? I dunno, sure doesn't look it." Shade had never more wished he could control his power, to call up a spirit, to ask it what had happened. Spirits knew almost all. He closeed his eyes and leaned against teh bed, fairly sure no one was watching, and any who saw would merely think he was napping. Come on, come on... Breaching the dark forest gates shouldn't be this hard! His mind strove as far as it could, and finally breached the gates. And was tossed back out again. He proceeded to begin swearing, and quickly stopped with the realization that he was among civilized company. He sat back down shyly.

Silence nibbled on the muffin bits happily. They were delicious. His wings flitted like a hummingbird as he floated next to Jol, looking at the others. He didn't quite understand all this talk about fathers and parents. But he did understand the concept of 'family.' And knew one thing was for sure; Jol and Butterscotch were the only family he has. Jol's stern tone made the newborn uneasy and his wings gave out, causing his little white body to fall onto the floor, again with a thud. He got up, inching away from Jol, thinking Jol was angry with him. He left the group in search of Butterscotch. He walked between random ponies' legs, squeiling for her.

"hey, where ya going?" Shade watched Silence go, but was to tired to follow his new friend. Trying to get through the Gates had drained him of most of his energy and he just wanted to sit back for now.

Jol continued to break off small pieces of the muffin until Silence had finished it. As the snowy bundle fell to the floor, Jol watched, making certain he was unharmed. Noticing no blood or protruding bones Jol assumed the colt was fine, not having realized that he may have hurt his feelings.
With a quick look around the crowded room, the unicorn wondered how hard it would be to slip out.

"But who'd want to leave behind such an adorable little colt?" Moony replied to Razzaroo's suggestion, feeling slightly confused. She frowned when the little snowy white pony hit the ground and began to edge away from Jol.
"Hey! Where are you going little one?" Moony called out to the little foal. He probably went to his mother, I mean the other pony who brought him in. She thought frowning slightly, looking out for him and the other pony, Butterscotch.

Butterscotch hadn't said a word the whole time. The stress and worry were gone, the snow-white colt was healed, now she could relax. Her thoughts had wandered, as they were apt to do, to narrarating a thrilling new novel starring a rather familliar tawny-gold detective, who was discovering the past behind a little orphan, who was really the long-lost prince of an undiscovered land, not that she knew that yet of course, she was still in the early chapters. Come to think of it, how can someone so young be a long-lost anything? Butterscotch made a note to fix that later on. The mare was jolted out of her epic little daydream by Silence's squeal. The little cutie was squeezing his way past Razzaroo's legs. When had he arrived? She eased past a few ponies, dropping her muzzle down to Silence's height. "Feeling better now? You do look much better, sweetie!" As something of an afterthought, she squeezed in a quick, "Hi Razz" as something of an apology for sticking her head in between his forelegs.

Razz picked up one foot, then another, taking on a bemused look as the spot beneath his legs became the busiest spot in the room. Butterscotch's soft hair tickled his chest and he tried very hard not to laugh. He gave her a blustering grin as she pulled the little foal out from under him.
"Hello, Butterscotch," he managed to say. Then he looked down at the little white foal. "I see you have a fan."

"You could say that," Butterscotch chuckled, absently wiping a few muffin crumbs off Silence's coat. "I found the poor dear lying hurt and abandoned in the middle of nowhere. I met Jol--the orange fellow over there," she gestured vaugely, "and Star on the way to get help, and, well, here we are." the golden mare thought awhile, then added, "You wouldn't happen to know anyone who bears a resemblance to him, would you?"

Shade grinned "With a color like that he resembles one of the eternal ones. Spirits." he added to no one in particular, "On the dark side, no, I ahven't, of course I haven't been here very long. Yo, buddy, are your relatives dead or alive? Nod for dead shake head for alive. That way I know where to look." Shade was all to eager for another stab at the hell gates.

Razz gave Shade a peculiar look of fascination as he spoke of dark things and suddenly felt himself wishing Silverfall were there... But he brushed her thought aside. Now was not the time.
"He does look a bit like a ghost," Razz said. "Though I do think he is very much alive. Doesn't say much... not that I'd expect a foal his age to be a chatterbox." He gave Shade a wink and a smile. "It's a shame I can't read minds anymore. I could simply see where he's from and what he's been up to."
Again his mind dwelled on the silver mare. Again he brushed her thought away. Would it ever be the right time? He dared not answer for fear of it. Ignoring it would have to do.
"I guess silence has its good points."

The green pegasus managed to squeeze herself out of the crowded room and ruffled her wings - too stuffy in there. She listened to the conversations from the doorway, when she heard a sound outside. It sounded like a "whoop" noise, like someone very gleeful was having a very good time, and she could not imagine who in this town could be having so much fun the day after such wreakage.
Walking to the window, she peered out and her eyes grew wide, her smile following suit. Jumping out the window she disappeared from sight quickly.
(hehe, she wasn't doing much, so I thought I would do something with her. Continued outside)

Silence was filled with glee as he saw Butterscotch and she pulled him out from under Razz. His eyes sparkled and his wings flitted. His attention was suddenly brought to Shade's question. He focus his thoughts and tried so hard to remember that white figure he saw in his dream. It seemed as if each dream brought him closer to the truth, but as of now, it was all still a blur. He looked at Shade with sad, soulful eyes. He had a fairly good idea of what Shade was asking. But he truely didn't know. His injury had given him amnesia. He had a desprite feeling inside him. He knew there was something important he had to remember, but he just didn't know. He turned away and leaned against Butterscotch as if to hug her.
