"I'd hardly consider myself a champ, more like guerilla warfare champ, attack reytreat, attck retreat..." Rainbow Flash was feeling surprisingly self consious right now.

Bubbles’ mom laughed. “Well whatever you are, it’s a pleasure meeting you.” Bubbles then noticed her mom was carrying a knapsack. “Hey mom, what’s up with the luggage? Going somewhere?” Here mother looked at her knapsack for a second and looked up at the group. “Well I was thinking of going on a holiday to my home town. Sorry sweetie, I should have told you earlier. Can I trust you girls to take care of yourselves and watch the house while I’m gone?” She asked calmly, looking at Tori and then to Bubbles. Bubble’s jaw dropped slightly. Talk about spur of the moment. She was also surprised her mom would trust her with such a big responsibility. “Yes ma’am!” Concluded Bubbles. She nudged Tori slightly with her elbow with only one thing in mind…PARTY! As if her mother had been reading her mind, she continued, “And that means no parties, Bubbles!” Bubbles’ grin disappeared.

Rainbow Flash watched the exchange while calmly sipping on her pop, at the last remark she sputtered a bit and and broke into giggles, "Busted!" she choked out.

Tori's grin faded. "No parties? Well that rules out fun." She shot a glare at Rainbow Flash before giggling herself.

“There are plenty of fun things you girls can do in Ponytown. Why not help Mrs. Cotton Candy at the café or something?” Replied Bubbles’ mom. Bubbles rolled her eyes and pointed to her open mouth with a gagging sound towards Tori when her mom was not looking. Working sounded like a lame idea to her. Bubbles’ mom looked at them. “Well whatever you decide, just make sure you stay out of trouble, ok? Now then, you may have a few friends over at a time. Just be sure the house stays clean and Bubble’s, don’t neglect your chores.” “Yes mom.” Bubbles smiled sarcastically. “Well, I guess that’s about it.” Her mom finished as she gave Bubbles a big hug and a kiss. “Love you lots, sweetie.” Her mom said, swinging her knapsack around one arm. She turned to Tori. “Make sure this one stays outta trouble.” She whispered to the blue pegasus, winking and pointing to Bubbles jokingly. She headed for the door. “Well all, I’ll be seein’ you! Bye!” She said as she proceeded out, shutting the door behind her.

Rainbow Flash bit her lip, "Speaking of work, I have to get back to the shop soon."

"Bye!" Tori waved. You know, maybe working isn't a bad idea... Then we can save up to get our own flat!" She squealed. "Parties everyday!" She said, picturing paradise in her mind. But of course, she was perfectly happy here with Bubble's parents, so there probably would be no point moving out. "Can I check out your ballon shop? I can remember going in there before..."

"Sure, why not, follow me if you like>" Rainbow Flash gave a final wave, and stepped into the white expanse that was Ponyville at this time of year.

Bubbles blinked. The talk of balloons had grabbed her attention. "Oh, that sounds awsome. Count me in!" She exclaimed and she followed the others.

Bubbles walked into her house quickly. She grabbed a few things and put them in a knapsack. These were only things she would really need. She left a note on the counter saying.
Tori, Mom just called a little while ago from Dream Valley and she says there’s trouble. The Queen of Dream Valley is missing and they need everyone they can to find her. If you can come and help in the search too that would be great. If you can’t, that’s okay too. You can have the house till we get back. There’s plenty of food in the cupboards and lots of firewood too. Just don’t throw any parties, as mom would say. Just kidding! Throw a few! I’ll tell mom it was my idea. Have fun on your own. Just remember, the key to the house is hidden in the crack in the front door’s doorknocker, okay. Goodbye for awhile, Bubbles
That being written, she trotted out of the house, knapsack on her back, and left. She turned to look at the house one last time and then left. She hoped she still knew the way. Her mother had only shown her once when she was young.
