In a rather sudden jumbled fashion, Wysteria shoved the pages behind her as if to avoid the gaze of a schoolteacher spotting her doing something wrong. Quickly and with little care to how, the purple mare shoved the many pages under her mattress, safe from Yama's view.
Swallowing hard, and shaking even worse, Wysteria stood to her hooves and slowly approached the kitchen. She stood at the entrance, no daring to enter, not wanting to be any closer to the foal god than she had to. Her once bright green eyes traced his figure, detecting the subtle change in his fur. It had been matted in some areas, and she could see the flicker of red garnishing what subtle blue and lavender undertones that compiled his black body. Wysteria didn't need to ask, his coat was caked in blood.
A mix of sickness and disgust began to work it's way up her stomach, though somehow his appearance hadn't surprised her. It would be ridiculous to see Yama return clean as if he'd been groomed. Perhaps it was another scare tactic, and it did frighten her. Yet, Wysteria was sick not because of his appearance, but somewhere in the back of her mind she liked it. Her eyes quivered at the stark grim thought, tears threatening to come out. Calm down, you have to help him for Silver Shadow...he needs help....
Silently, she fought whether to step into the room or retreat back towards her bed. Minutes of her silent standing later and Wysteria had bulked up the courage to turn and head back towards her room.

Yama headed back to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of lemonade. He took a long swig and then made his way back to Wysteria's room to taunt her a little more. "I thought that you would have worked out that I. Know. Everything." He smirked. "Bring me the papers you so hurridly hid under the mattress."

Wysteria stopped where she stood, Yama's voice leaving chilling shakes down her vertibrae. Silently she whispered to herself words of encouragement, trying to comfort herself in this frightening time. Finally, she gulped before saying lowly, "No."

Yama stepped towards Wysteria and simply said "Yes."

((I hope you don't mind me butting in I just wanted Moony to see Wysteria again ^-^ and she was bound to rush in on them having a little chat. She lives here too mind.)) Moony cantered over to her and Wysteria's appartment with excitement. Today she had almost fully mastered winking, and like a eager child wanting to be praised, she wanted to show her closest friend her newly polished unicorn trick. As she made her way up the staircase and to their room, she paused at the door. Taking a breath to ease her excitement, she unlocked the door and burst in with merry chatter. "Guess what Wysteria! I have-" The unicorn stopped quickly wipping her face clean of her smile when she saw a utterly frightening,, strange and unknown stallion standing face to face with Wysteria. Moony's blank, puzzled face was almost comical as she studied the situation before speaking. "Err, umm... Am I... interrupting anything important?" She asked Wysteria uncertainly, casting a nervous glance at the stallion. Something about this stallion told her that he was dangerous... very dangerous...

Wysteria's head jerked towards her door in sudden reflex. Her face filled with a mix of sudden surprise and of impending doom, but her green eyes calmed at the sight of her friend. It had been so long since she'd actually seen Moony...or was it? The last time she'd seen her was at the beach earlier that day, but of rainbow it felt so much longer...
"Err, umm... Am I... interrupting anything important?"
"No...," Wysteria abruptly said, then calmer, more softly, "No." She turned her head just slightly to Yama, "This is my room mate, Moon Crystal." Then, with practiced steps she walked away from him, forcing back the shudder that was forming on her back.
Once on the other side of the room away from Yama, Wysteria relaxed just slightly, though her posture was still noticeably tensed. If anyone, Moony gave Wysteria a lot of courage. She was living with someone the rainbow had joined with, hadn't she? Moony was something safe, something Wysteria would gladly cling to at that moment. The purple mare doubted Yama would make a big scene in front of Moony, or at least she hoped. Maybe then he would back off at least for a little while.

"Moon Crystal..." He looked her up and down. "No doubt a mage of Fei Lian's." He was about to speak again when he heard set calling him. He paused for a moment.
"Sorry love, but I've gotta go." He said to Wysteria. He made for the door but stopped when he came to Moony. "Nice meeting you, Moon Crystal. Tell Lian that I said 'hi'." He chuckled as he left the room.

"Nice meeting you, Moon Crystal. Tell Lian that I said 'hi'."
As he said that, the unicorn couldn't help but narrow her eyes as she glared at him. Usually she wouldn't be like this towards others, but there was something she defiantly disliked about Yama. And how did he know she was a mage of Fei Lian's? Well it didn't matter now anyway...
She glanced back to see him gone, before talking to Wysteria. "Hey, Wysteria, why was he here?" She asked. "He reeked of blood, death and guts..."
But then she paused thinking of what she said, and then looked at her friend with concern before moving over to her. Something was very wrong... what was her purple mare doing with a being like Yama..
"W-Wysteria?" She asked, her voice more calm and hushed. "What is going on?"

Before Wysteria could answer Moony, Lian's voice shot through her head like an arrow.
"Mages! To the square immediately! Time to use what I have taught you!"
And as quick as that it was gone...

Moony gasped when she heard Lian's urgent voice, sharp in her mind. Of all times, he calls me now, when my friend may have great need of me... She sighed bitterly. Her friend of course meant the world to her, but something about Lian's voice made it clear that he needed her by his side at once. Something bad had come...
"Oh, Wysteria," Moony said softly. "I'm afraid that we cannot talk now, now though I wished we could. I need to be somewhere and quick. You stay here and take care of yourself, I'll be back, I promise you."
With a bob of the head and giving Wysteria a hopeful smile that all will be well, she turned and ran out of the door.

Wysteria stood frozen as both her feared god and beloved best friend left. Thus, she stood alone. What had just happened? Yama had come in, roaming about like he owned the place, then up and left for no reason. Moon Crystal as well.
The artist let out a long, trembling, shaky sigh. Knowing her current streak of luck Moony felt how horrible Yama was and made an excuse, abandoning her. Wysteria's lip began to tremble in self-doubt, a tiny voice in her head trying to pound the fact of being alone into her mind.
"No!," she finally shouted allowed to the voice, "Moony would never! The Rainbow would never have chosen her if she was capable of just leaving me!" Her voice, though strong, had almost seemed to take a great deal from her, as her knees weakly shook where she stood. It wasn't seconds after that they buckled and she slumped hard to her butt. "Ow!"
It was as if she had just gotten done from a vigorous workout, she just felt so tired. Meekly, she pushed herself to her hooves and stumbled towards a window. Green eyes widened to the bloodshed in town...she could not clearly see, but she could hear the sounds of battle, and the cries of the dying. If she didn't know better, she could easily make out the body shape of Yama, doing what he love to do with the greatest of ease.
It dawned on her. "He's...he's using my energy...maybe others too...," it was said airy, herself taken only slightly aback. Her mind began to work, if anything, Moony would be there. Fei Lian's appearance sprung to memories from the beach. She remembered the pompous jerk...if Moony was working for him, than, Wysteria could only assume he may have forced her as she was. Despite what manner Moony did fall into helping a god, Wysteria had a feeling that where she had headed was probably to the center of battle.
The purple mare swallowed loudly, fearfully. This was the second time she'd seen fighting in her lifetime, all too soon from the last. It terrified her that death was so close to where she felt safe...only this was beyond the fear from last summer. No, she was somehow apart of it, if Yama was drawing upon his mages for power.... And yet, watching the palette of red blood forming and spraying in the distance didn't bother her in the slightest as it had the prior year, and the fact it didn't bother her made her feel sick.
"It's all because he did something to my head...." she whimpered, mumbling a curse that seemed entirely ineffective coming from her, sounding more cute than cruel.
"I...I have to help them. I can't fight. I refuse! They need first aid like last time....," she argued with herself, "But I'm weak...and Yama might do something..."
Another shrill scream sounded through the air, crisp and clean, suddenly halting seconds after it started. It was settled, Wysteria had to go. Trying her best to muster her courage, Wysteria recovered her first aid kit and stumbled towards town.
