(ooc: Appologies for the long post. I had some catching up to do.)
"I'm sure everything will be fine--it's all just a bit confusing right now." He said quietly, and as confidently as he could manage.
Silence smiled more confidently and his tail swished. He nodded to Kimono an was about to get down from his chair, but then something had caught him off guard.
Star Dazzle’s encounter had knocked the colt off the oversized chair and landed him with his face planted on the tiled floor and the rest of his body including his limbs landed behind it in a tangled mess that was a very uncomfortable position. He noticed plates, glasses, and silverware landing and breaking all around him. (The plates and glasses at least.) He rolled over onto his feet frantically to get away from the exploding kitchen bombs and flew onto the countertop near the fridge and stove, where it was safe.
Kail came inside and she didn’t look very happy. If only I could ask her what was going on… He thought to himself, feeling very guiltily. She’d let him stay here and so far he hasn’t done a thing in return. He fluttered back down to the seafoam mare’s side to help with the cleanup, but apparently he was too late. The floor was spotless.
Finally a blue stallion walked in and started talking to Kail. It all seemed familiar somehow, like de zia vou(sp?), but he knew that he’d never met the blue stallion before, or been to the nursery before for that matter.
He decided to give the adults their space and walked over indifferently into the living room. Of course, Jol was making a fuss about the racket and the early risers. Silence just chuckled. It reminded him of the good old days when they were actually a family, at least in his eyes.

Kail laughed at Moe and his hunger. "Just leave enough for the rest of the nursery huh? And consider that our 'safe neighborhood tax'." She was still smiling as Whis asked her if she had time to talk.
"Yeah, sure Whisperwind." Kail nodded her head towards the door, she would take Whis to where Coon and her had talked just a half hour before. When they got outside and Kail closed the door behind them she turned to the girl. "So what's up? You look a little worried."

Instead of adding to the commotion after the table came crashing down, Kimono pushed himself further into the corner and stayed out of the way. Before he knew it, the mess was cleaned up anyway. Soon after, Moe had found his way in. He must have followed his nose, Kimono mused. He had seen Moe many times while they both lived in the castle, but Kimono was almost positive that the police pony had never seen him. While Moe stayed near Pinkie Pie's office, Kimono familiarized himself with every accessible inch of the great structure, including secret hallways that sadly probably weren't rebuilt. Out of the corner of his eye, the bookworm stallion noticed Whisper speaking quietly to Kail, almost secretively. Kimono had noticed ponies slipping away to speak privately with the green pegasus throughout the morning, and wondered speculatively what such things couldn't be said amidst the group. He made a mental note to find some convenient alone time with the mare, hopefully to satiate his curiosity. ________________________ "You're too kind, Kailani," The older blue stallion smiled and gave the pegasus a friendly wink. Though his stomach could have held much more, he only took two of Treat's delicious breakfast pasty concoctions and again tipped his invisible hat to the ponies surrounding him. "Now, you let me know if there's.. anything I should um.. do something about," He smiled, proffesional that he was, and manuvered his rather large frame toward the door. ________________________ Jewel sighed and blew her brown-purple forelock out of her eyes. She wasn't finding out much of anything besides the snippets of conversation and crashing sounds from inside. She didn't want to distract Kail from the many responsibilities she had at the moment, or immerse herself too deeply into things. Not many ponies knew her, and some might become suspicious of her sudden appearance. Things seemed to have quieted once Moe got there, but probably for no other reason than things had just been cleaned up. Jewel smiled amusedly at the thought of Ponyville's police force. And some ponies wonder why the crime rate gets so high, She laughed to herself. At least they all had their freedom. Her inner spy coming out, Jewel's eyes narrowed as a thought came to her. The best way to obtain reliable information was to find out firsthoof. Sure, it was more dangerous, but by seeing things on her own, the pegasus might find more than even the others knew at that moment. She was growing increasingly restless anyway, and wanted to remove herself from the chaos. The extensive survival training she'd received in her war-ridden homeland many years ago began to bubble to the surface of her mind. It had been a long time since she'd put herself in harm's shadow, save for the RoD battle. She now had a home to really call a home, almost to the point that she'd risk her life to protect it. With that last though, the golden pegasus rose to her hooves and arched her neck gracefully. With barely as much as a glance of her purple eyes, Amr took for the treetops as the mare trotted away down the road. ((cont Jewel at the Celebration Castle, unless someone decides to stop her ))

With a thankful but still quite wary smile, Whis looked up at the pegasus. "Er - well, I have nowere to stay, and I don´t know how long I´ll be in Ponyville. I thought ... perhaps I could stay here?" She lookad away for a moment. "It´s just that ... I have´nt got any money." She turned back to Kail, her golden earrings moving among her hair. "I could work for you, only for staying here and eat your food. Help you out with whatever you need help with."

Kail smiled warmly at the younger pony (although most would have thought they looked the same age). "Of course you can stay. We don't have the best accomodations, as you've seen already, but that is what we are here for - to help out anyone who needs us." She paused for a second, to consider the offer of help. "Don't worry about working for us to pay for your room and board, we have more than enough help already."
Kail smiled as she remembered the large chest of money in Swirl's closet. Ok, so it hadn't been that large, but it would keep them running long enough. "The best thing you could help us with would be to find yourself a job in the city and help out with the little treats and toys we like to buy the foals." Their treats and toys never cost very much, so she thought it a fair trade.
"I will keep an eye out for job opportunities for you," Kail winked and smiled.

Whisperwind felt happy. "Thanks Kail!" And she could not stop herself from hugging the friendly pegasus. But when she let go of Kail, she looked a little concerned. "Kail ... I tought about last night. What happened, really? That lightning - it did´nt even rain anymore by the time it stroke."

(lol, Spooky, read back to the last page - Kail and Whis are outside ) Kail smiled at the hug - it always warmed her to know she did good and made someone happy. But then she turned serious and asked about last night and the pegs face fell. "It could have been just some rogue heat lightning, but..." she wasn't sure if she should tell someone so new to town and to the nursery about her suspisions, but the girl was certainly old enough to know, and she might be able to help. Kail never underestimated the younger citizens and their abilities. "I think it was a very powerful pony, one who calls themselves a 'god'. One who will not be good for Ponyville." She didn't want to scare Whis, so she quickly continued, "but I wouldn't worry about it. Razz's friend Silverfall has fallen in with some bad company. There is no way any of these ponies will ever enter the nursery while I'm around. And really, we've delt with worse." And they had - they had dealt with actual gods just a year ago.

Whisperwind felt wary, but no, she was´nt afraid. She knew that she could trust Kail. "So, there is a evil god in Ponyville?" Whis looked concerned. She thought about the last words spoken of Kail, the fact that they would never enter the nursery. "You´re not some kind of godess, are you Kail?" Whisperwind thought for a moment. Dealed with worse?

"Hang on -" Whisperwind suddenly remebered what Razz had told her the evening before, at the café. "You are some kind of champion, Kail, are´nt you? Razz mentioned that last night - my first thought was that you of course were champions from the foals point of view."

"So, there is a evil god in Ponyville?"
Kail's eyes widened, "oh no! They aren't actually a god, they just like to call themselves that. Its just a not-so-friendly pony who seems to be very powerful. I'm sure they will try to make others think that they are indeed gods, but the Rainbows are the only true gods."
She chuckled as Whis asked her if she was a goddess, "no, not I. I'm just a healer, although the younger foals might tell you otherwise." She laughed to herself, sometimes the foals fell into worshiping the three owners of the nursery to some extent. Not that Kail minded - it usually meant they would follow dirrections better.
And then Whis remebered what she had heard about that Champions, and Kail's smile widened. She was very proud of being one of the Seven. "Yes, a Champion. Razz is too, and Roxy, and Moony, and a few others that seem to have dispersed over the land." She lifted up the compass that hung on a chain around her neck so that her second symbol would be completely visible. "I was the green Champion of the Rainbow. The Healer. Razz was Violet, it had to do with telepathy. If you take a close look behind one of his ears you will see a small violet symbol there. It marks him as a Champion."
Kail paused as she thought of the mark behind Razz's ear. For almost no reason she blushed at the thought of him, and then bit her lip and continued. "Last summer around this time the Dark Rainbow showed up in its seperate stripes and each stripe became a pony. To fight it, the Rainbow of Light seperated as well and each stripe went into a pony here to give them the powers of the Rainbow." And it had been just in time in Kail's case, "The Champions eventually won and the Dark Rainbow has since been locked away Rainbow knows where." It would be nice to know where, she thought, because then at least they would know if it got loose again. But she trusted the Rainbow, and the Rainbow had taken it someplace safe. "So, you see, we have certainly dealt with worse and survived." She smiled confidentally to Whisper Wind.

Silence laid over the ponies when Kail had stopped talking. Whisper Wind took her eyes of the green mark and then smiled back towards Kail. "Thanks again, Kailani." She fell silent for another moment. So ... are you going to the park?" She moved closer to the door on her way back indoor, but slowly, waiting for Kail to respond. It wold feel much better to have her there.

* * * Artic Blizzard came trotting trough the little village. Buildings surrounded him everywere, along with beautifully green trees and soft grass. His hooves made a cattering sound as he walked forward on the fancy pathway, and he enjoyed the wind that was playing in his mane. Blizzard would never admit that he in fact felt a little nervous; he was about to bump into a unknown building. He was new in town after all. He glanced at behind to see that the others was not falling behind. The sunbeams reflected his silvery-grey snowflakes at the hip.

Kail gave a warm smile in return to Whisper Wind's. She liked this kid - old enough to know what was going on but young enough to still be niave and curious. She was alot like Kail had been five years ago, although Kail though she might have been still a little more niave yet. The thought made her laugh softly to herself.
"Park? I haven't even had breakfast yet, never mind planning the day." She laughed and put a forleg around Whis, leading her back in to the kitchen where they could both finish breakfast.

Eventually, Silence got tired of the idea of letting his dad sleep in.
He wanted him to take him outside so he could tell him everything that has happened to him in the past year. The colt wanted to ask him where he went, and why he left in the first place. There was so much he wanted to know, and he wasn't about to let it go unsaid.
With that he gave the orange stallion a firm budge in the side with his forehead. His feathers ruffled and his tail raised like a flag. After a few more tries he stopped for breath and walked toward the window and looked out at the bustling town happneings with a sigh.
