Sparx tried to keep her eyes from widening. Summoning spirits? "Uhhh...maybe some other time sweetheart," she said in an uncertain tone. She cleared her throat and attempted to change the subject. "That's a nice name, Shade," she commented.

He nodded, "Its the proper term for a magician who has summoned spirits to powerful to control and has been possessed by them, only evil spirits would possess a body." he looked completely calm.

Sparx put on a nervous smile. "Well that's wonderful!" she said shakily. Rainbow above, please I dont' want to be killed by a 1 year old who is posessed by evil spirits!

Snowflake pushed back the thought of evil spirits as she responded to Tink. "Oh no, Tink. I'll get it for you." She wanted to be helpful in anyway possible. "I work here after all." she winked. She turned and went behind the counter into the kitchen a few moments later she returned with a sandwich and a nice tall glass of milk on a circular tray. "There you go." She said smiling as she handed Tink the tray. Sf's ear twitched as she heard Cotton Candy's voice. She looked over and saw a customer that needed assistance...badly. "Could you all please excuse me. I'll be right back." She gave a quick smile and hurried over to Coton Candy and the customer.

"Thank you." Tink decided to give SF a large tip when she returned. She set teh tray down iun front of Shade and ruffled his mane, "Chow down buddy." she pulled Sparx aside. "Sorry if he scared you a bit, but don't listen to any of his bluffs, he can't control his powers at all. They only come up when he's angry or sad or something. Its just his mom dying, he doesn't quite know how to deal with it yet." Tink whispered and shrugged.

"Oh," Sparx whispered back in a slightly relieved tone. She would do everything in her power not to make that little foal mad... Sparx watched as Snowflake hurried off to tend to a customer. She thought she recognized the insane pegasus from the castle massacre, but couldn't be sure. She shrugged and turned back to her friends.

Mace sauntered in looking quite pleased with himself. He set down a shopping bag to show that he had gotten Shade a few toys to play with. Shade eyed the gifts eagerly, cool, he'd never had any actual toys before. Mace handed him teddy bear, which was, in Shade's opinion, themost interesting thing there. Not only was it cuddly, but think of the possibilities for spiritual possession! He gave it a hug and refused to let go, it would be his new friend! He turned to aunt Tink "When do I get to go back to my mom?" Tink was surprised by the question. She had bee to busy thinking how kind it was of Mace to get Shade some toys that she hardly had considered that Shade truly understood it all. She sighed, what was she going to do?

Moe was completely oblivious to the fact that there was a baby summoning potentially dangerous evil spirits within the immediate vicinity..
..Instead, he had found the pastries.
Muzzle pressed against the glass case, Moe managed to keep from drooling over the sweet, savory delights upon which he was sure his life was dependent. Finally standing up and straightening himself, his ears pricked forward like those of an excited foal, hoping someone would offer to get him a pastry soon. Or two. Or five.
Maybe ten.

Snowflake reappeared where the group was standing. She glanced around at everyone and then looked at Moe. "Excuse me sir," Snowflake started. "Could you please help us with a little problem. There is a customer that is causing a nuicence in the Cafe. If you could help us we'd be very appreciative. I'm sure the manager would reward you with a pastry or two. Right this way." She directed him. Before he could answer she returned to the other side of the cafe.

Moe took turns looking from the pastry case to Snowflake.. pastries.. Snowflake.. pastri--Hey, where'd she go?!
With a small sigh and a promise to himself that he'd return for the sweets, Moe straightened himself, puffed his chest, and strode over to where Snowflake had gone.

Cane blinked as Shade told Sparkleworks about summoning spirits.
"Hey, Sparx, I dont think later's a good time for summoning demons," he said, then winking, he added, "Remember, we already said we were gonna hunt for vampires?"

Shade looked up from where he had starting on his sandwhich and eyed Sparx and Cane. "You guys talk like my mom and her boyfriends, you guys mates?" he looked on innocently, biting into the PB&J sandwiche. (OOC: Ah the innocence of children, just wait till he asks Mace or Tink the same question. )

"Oh yeah, must not be any time for evil spirits, I'm all booked!" Sparx joked. She coughed as Shade asked if she and Cane were mates. Oh boy, Sparx thought to herself, Some kid we got here. "Er...not exactly..." she said, stumbling with her words. She sighed sadly as Shade asked about his mother. Tink was in a tight situation. On one hand, it wouldn't be quite fair to the little one if Tink lied to him, but on the other hand it would be a bit traumatic to tell the 1 year old the truth. Maybe he wouldn't be able to comprehend the fact that his mother wasn't coming back.

Oh dear... thought Cane, feeling sorry for Shade and Tink. He did think his Mom was coming back, didnt he? He tried to avoide eye contact with the youngster, feeling sorrier and sorrier with every second.

Tink felt like pounding her head against a wall. "Umm, well.." she managed to composed herself. Now, how to tell a kid that his mother was in an accident in such a way that she had to be taken to the mortuary in a jar? Umm, definatly don't mention the jar part. She smiled weakly "Well... She won't be coming back Shade." "What?" for the first time Shade's face lost its expressionless gaze, he looked scared now. "She was in an accident, she... died." Tink grimaced, she didn't believe in lying to children, it broke trust. "No she didn't she just went for pizza, like always, just for pizza." Shade was shaking in a mix of fear and knowledghe that what Aunt Tink said was true.
