Stepping into the cafe, hazel eyes scanned the area. For the most part, this seemed like a nice little town. Even if there was considerable damage done to parts of the city... He had seen worse.
A grin spread across Brinker's pierced lips. So far, he was glad that the band had decided to stop off at Ponyville for a couple of days.
Taking a seat in front of the window, sunlight allowed everyone near by to see just how blood shot the stallion's eyes truly were. But hey, two consecutive days without so much as a cat nap will do that to you. Still, Brinker's constant flow of happiness shone through.
Leaning back in his chair, he glanced around the café: smiling at everyone he made eye contact with. He was content with just relaxing in the sunlight... but a bit of coffee would help.

Rootbeer Float slowly tip hooved(Lol..Get it..Tip hooved!? TIP TOED!? LOL!!.. ;;..I'm a loser..) over to the stallion. She stood beside him. "HELLO!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, hopefully making him awake. Everyone in the cafe stared at her. She shrugged it off. Wouldn't be the first time somebody starred.

[OOC: lmao That was excellent.] The sudden scream nearly knocked Brinker off of his chair. He grabbed the table to stop his chair from falling backwards: hazel eyes locked on the mare. (kinda like that...) "Hi." Coughing lightly, the white stallion straightened himself out and smiled. "Can I have some coffee?"

Rootie smiled at him. "Hope I didn't startle you." She brought her hoof to her chin. "Coffee..Hm..What would you like?" She extended her other hoof.
"Exspresso?" She moved the hoov on her chin outwards. "Decaf?" She blinked. "Um..French Vanilla? Breakfast Blend?" She thought of another coffee name. "What kind of coffee is there?.."
She thought to herself, and then she got it. "Or, maybe some Irish Crem.." She stopped herself. "Irish Creme.." Rootie said while sighing. She missed Irish Creme. So, it had only been a day since they had talked, but that was the longest, ever! She sighed, and took a note pad out of her apron. "So..What would you like?"

Hazel eyes watched Rootie as she spoke. He could tell something was bothering the mare. "Are you ok?"
He paused for a moment, biting down on one of his lip piercings. "And I'll just take whatever is the strongest."

Rootie looked down, and then brought her head back up, smiling at Brinker. "Yeah, I'm fine.." She said softly. She jotted down expresso, and went to the machine behind the counter, and pulled the lever, steaming hot liquid poured into a small cup. She gently carried it over to him, and sat it at his table.
She smiled. "And, to tell you the truth, this coffee isn't going to be that great." She sighed. She wasn't going to be able to make it without Irish Creme. She was her best friend..She..Rootie sighed, again. "If you want some really good coffee, I suggest you visit Novel Ideas." She struggled with a smile. "It's got the best coffee.."

It was obvious Rootie wasn't fine. And it was in Brinker's nature to help people out. Even if they didn't want him to.
As the cup of coffee was placed in front of him, hazel eyes stared into the dark liquid for a moment before finally returning to the mare. "I would.. but.. y'see.. I don't know where it is." Brinker chuckled softly.
The chair opposite of him quickly moved backwards as he kicked it. "Take a seat. Something's bothering you, and don't tell me it's not." There was a genuine look of concern on the stallion's features.

Rootbeer Float smiled, and sat in the chair. "Well.." She licked her lips, and blew a curl out of her face. "See, my best friend, and I are fighting right now..All because I needed money, so, I decided to come work here."
Rootie sighed, and leaned her chest against the table. "But, that's not the beggining.." She sat up. "We owned a business together, a kind of ice cream parlour, with other treats, and stuff..During the battle with the evils, it was destroyed, and that's why I needed a place to work, so I came here..And agreed to work with my arch nemesis." She said while pointing to Cotton Candy. "Irish Creme was, and I think still is kinda mad at me for doing so."
Sadness, and anger entered Rootie's eyes. "But, that doesn't mean, she had to open up another store, exactly where our old one used to be!" She moaned. "It's not really that big of a deal..I just wish..I wish she would have asked me to run it with her. We were supoosed to be partners for life." She sighed again. "It's both our faults that we're fighting right now.." She swung her hooves from under the table. "I just wish everything would go back to normal." She looked up at Brinker, and smiled.

Brinker remained quiet as Rootie spoke, his pierced ears perked forward. He was taking in everything she was saying rather well. But did she say a battle with the evils? Well that explains a few things...
Once Rootie had finished, he smiled softly and nodded his head. "It seems like y'all have been through a lot, lately. It's only normal to be a little iffy with one another after everything that's happened. I mean, Jesus." Hazel eyes shone. "Just give it some time. Things are bound to get better. Especially seeing as how the two of you are best friends. Fights come and go." He shrugged one shoulder and smiled. "It's normal."

Rootie shrugged, and let out a gentle smile, and soft sigh. "I guess you're right." She swallowed. "It's nice talking to somebody about your problems. I've been so used to talking to Irish Creme about my problems, it just seemed, normal." She stretched her wings a little. "Alright, enough about me. Tell me about yourself."

Brinker smiled. "Well I'll be in town for a few, if you ever want to talk."
White ears flicked back and forth. "About me, eh?" A rather confident grin spread across the stallion's pierced lips. "Name's Brinker Madden. I'm from a band called Tower 27, and seeing as how we have awhile before our next show on the tour... we decided to take a gamble and stop off in town for a few." He chuckled. "I haven't slept at all in two days. That's life out on the road for ya!" ;D

Rootbeer Float erupted. "A band!?" She giggled insanely. She was getting back to her normal self. "I've never met anyone in a band! It's sounds so..Exciting!" She giggled again. "Sorry, I get a little over the top sometimes." She smiled. "Y'know, if you need a place to stay, you could always stay with me, until it's time for you to leave."

A bright smile was plastered on Brinker's face. "Don't worry about it. I'm the same way when I meet bands." It was true, too. He still didn't think of himself as famous, and probably never would. Which was a good thing. "I'll have to introduce you to Capler when I find him..."
Hazel eyes blinked. "Really? You would? Dude!!" Brinker grinned. "Could the guys stay, too? We won't break anything.. or anyone.."

Rootie blushed, and scratched the back of her head. "Sure.." She said. "That would be great, a house full of band members!" She smiled. "It can't be that bad.." She thought to herself. She chuckled.
"There's only two bedrooms, though, so, some of them will have to share a bed..And sleep on the floor." She turned another shade of red. "How many members are in your band?" She asked nervousley. She then muttered something about how much easier it would have been to accomodate them if the Shoppe hadn't been blown up.

Brinker chuckled. "Trust me.. sharing beds won't be a problem. We're..." He smirked. "Close." The youthful energy in the stallion began shining through. "There's four of us. Me, my twin Josuha, Capler, and Landon." Reaching up, he ran a hand hoof through black and pink hair. "They're good guys. Well... Capler can be an ass... but so can I, or so I'm told."
