Eighteen or not Apple was not about to stop her tradition of holding picnics. Especially on such gloriously gorgeous days as this one was turning out to be. A basket clutched in the crook of her arm she walked along on three legs towards the park. As she neared she noticed a small group around the fountain. What luck! She didn’t need to go hunting for ponies there were already some there.
“Hello!” Applejack called out cheerfully to all present, “Care to join me for a picnic?”
Heading towards her favorite picnic spot she set her wicker basket under the tall oak tree. Pulling a blanket out she set it free with a snap. For a moment the checkered blanket appeared as though it was going to fly away from her. Giggling lightly she watched as it slowly settled down and came to rest on the grass.

Dragon looked back up at Stella with a sudden, helpless sadness in his eyes. "Yea ... uh, no I mean ... did you happen to know Starbeam? A unicorn." Another pony was entering the park. Dragon hardly noticed her.

Spooky silently wafted out from near the trees. She wasn't entirely sure why she'd rushed out of the store after deciding she and Tabs had to open it. Maybe spring fever had made her do it, like with that time with the villagers and the tarantulas and the weird dancing. Well, there were some other ponies around, maybe they'd like to go to her bookstore tonight. Everyone loves bookstores in the springtime, because everyone loves everything in the springtime. Yup.
“Hello!” Applejack called out cheerfully to all present, “Care to join me for a picnic?”
Spookytale thoughtfully walked up behind Applejack, totally unaware of how silent she was when she was thinking, and also how her mostly grey coat blended into the shadows.
"Whoo-ooo!" Spookytale let out a noise right behind Applejack. A real picnic, how neat.

"Yea ... uh, no I mean ... did you happen to know Starbeam? A unicorn."
Stella scratched her chin for a moment in thought, oblivious to the sadness in his eyes. "Hmm... Starbeam, huh? No, I don't recall. But then again, I don't recall alot of things." She scratched the back of her neck for a moment. It was the truth. She had the memory of a rock.
"Hey Applejack!" Stella said turning slightly as the other settled her picnick blanket. "Long time no see." It had been a while since she had talked to other citizens since she had been so busy with Tails n' Whiskers.
"And hello to you, too, Spooky. How's the shop coming along?"

"And hello to you, too, Spooky. How's the shop coming along?"
"Good, like kitten pie." Spookytale chewed her lower lip a bit as she nodded her head. "It just opened a few minutes ago, actually."
Maybe I cam out to find Stellaluna, since now the store is open I can get a pet bat? Or did I come out for the luck of a picnic? Maybe there's a good story here?
Spooky's head bobbed up and her ears pricked forward, a ripple went through her irridescent coat causing it to shimmer, and the ghost on her flank to appear to drift slightly. A gorgeuous day, a picnic, a young mare, a pet store owner and a bookstore owner, and a distraught stallion....well, maybe there is a story here. A story for the people, maybe also some lizards and wuffling magergdeems.
She smiled all friendly like at everyone present. "Hello, by the way."

Dragon sighed inwards as Stellaluna answered. But he was thankful. A slight, yet warm smile beamed on his face. Now he turned his attention to the others in the park. "Well, hullo everybody". He turned to Applejack. "If you really don´t mind me, a picknick would be great". He nodded towards her.

Ken lifted an eyeridge.
"A picnic?" He asked. He stared at Applejack in disbelief. Well, it wasn't everyday that he was invited to a... picnic.

Spooky shivered, the large pony sculpture that she'd taken to be made out of saw beetles had just come alive. She sat down behind AJ and thought this development over.

A picnic... Ken decided it was time to make his exit. A picnic was way too happy-happy for him.

Spooky watched the strange, loud, previously innanimate sculpture walk off. Well, possibly he just snored rather loudly and had been sleeping, but a sculpture of saw beetles was lots more entertaining. Like a gollem, or a gargoyle, or whatnot.
"Er...I'll stop by the store to look at your pet bats, ok?"
Spookytale waved good bye, then crept after the strange, loud pony that had previously startled and then fascinated her. She didn't have any particular good reason for doing so, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

[OOC: *facepalm* I completely forgot this was where I had left Apple Jack. Guh.]
Apple noticed that while the others had seemed interested, at least a little bit she told herself, no one was staying. Well peach pits! Now what? As much as she loved picnics, it just wasn't any fun all by yourself.
Slowly she began to pack the various treats back up. Gathering the blanket up she didn't bother to fold it properly. She half crammed the checkered blanket into the basket. Of course being half balled up, it didn't fit. Tuffs of cloth stuck out all over and more than just a corner hung over the back end of the basket.
Leaving the park she headed towards a shop, or something. She wasn't really sure yet.
