(OOC: I think it would be cool to play the slyph for a short period, at least until Becka whaps you with fakies...hee hee)
Silverfall returned having let Bandit loose upon the fields again. The dog ran swiftly up over the hill and was gone.
The silver unicorn was deeply troubled. She sat down on the ground and pierced the earth with the tip of her horn. Then slowly she drew outward, drawing a spiral in the dirt. Pausing, she looked up at the group, in particular at Silver Shadow.
"Then we wait and see what comes of your friend's silent observations?" Her voice was steadier now. "And what if we are too late? If they manage to join, it will take more than elemental magic to stop them. And that won't be all. I can feel darkness welling in the earth. It will put out a call as strong as a cosmic blackhole. All who hear it will answer." Tension mounted in her voice again as she spoke the last part.
Razz didn't know what a cosmic black hole was or what the talk of joining meant, but he didn't think it sounded all that good. He sat down next to Silverfall and boldly rested his head over her neck. She did not recoil from his touch.

After Silverfall's outburst, Nightingale said quietly, "We felt the rush of darkness running through the earth just now. We knew where it came from, and it was the first time we knew. So, therefore, it's too late-they have joined together, or else we would have felt it earlier."
Gweena burst out a question, before she could stop herself, "How can you feel the darkness welling up in the earth?"

((occ: Ok. I'll get the sylph to check it out, but not for long. Becka said she didn't what to see them playing around; only doing tasks. *nods* Only tasks))
Silver Shadow looked away and tried to any aviod eye contact. He didn't find Silverfall's ability to feel the darkness upon the earth surprising since it didn't matter. He felt like a fool to leave the castle, but there was nothing he could do about it, for now at least.
"Yes we will wait, if you have the patience to do so..." He said quietly. "I do not know how long he will be."

Silverfall rose and eyed Gweena suspiciously. Then to Silver Shadow she said, "Yes, of course, we'll wait. I'm sorry. I'm just filled with a great concern..." She swished her tail impatiently and gazed out over the river.
Razzaroo leaned toward Gweena and spoke in a hushed tone. "She's a Darklander." He watched Silverfall's ear flick back in his direction. "She explained it to me once. She has been trained to prevent the dark from consuming and corrupting her. She's really not that bad once you get to know her."
"My mentor would be kin to you," Silverfall added, without looking back. Inwardly she wondered if Gweena really couldn't sense the darkness in her or if she was just trying to be polite. Could it be that Ponyville had changed her somehow? But she didn't think that was the case... and yet she wondered. How different was she from the mare that had first stepped hoof outside the Darklands borders?

"I understand..." Silver Shadow murmured. I hope the sylph would be quick... He eventually looked up at them and listened carefully to what Razzaroo was saying to Gweena. Realiseing that it was concerning Silverfall, he turned to the elemental creatures. They seemed to have a gift of knowing everything, and they have senses far sharper and clearer then the majority of living creatures. The sylphs, gnomes and undines all looked up at him, their faces baring no expression of feeling. A few of the gnomes, however, returned to their post of staring up at Razzaroo's tail.
Silver Shadow hesitated a moment and turned to Silverfall. "And how would your mentor be kin?"
((occ: I've been busy so Ii haven't gotten the sylph in the castle. I hope they don't mind...))

"Because," Silverfall said in strange tone, "he is a dark elemental." She looked at him curiously, tilting her head. She looked at each of them in turn. She was very confused, but then perhaps she was wrong to assume they would know what she meant. She tried to gather her thoughts.
"That's OK," Razz was speaking to Gweena, "I don't understand half of what she says either..." Then as he was swishing his tail, he gave a sudden little jump as if his tail had just been tweaked. Looking back, he said, "Being out here in the dark is starting to mess with my head."

((occ: Ohh! I wasn't sure who Silverfall wqas talking to... Gweena or Razzaroo. ))
Silver Shadow didn't say a word but nodded. He could tell she was confused by the way she looked at them. "I'm sorry." He said to her. "I'm slightly confused about whom you were speaking to about your mentor."
Silver Shadow eyed the little gnomes carefully. They were all grinning at the effect it had on the purple stallion and were running about in all directions. One of them was holding a few hairs and was waving them around madly. "We could go somewhere else if you wish." Though I prefer to stay here in the darkness with only the stars as the light.

Razz shook his head. "But where would we go? Back to town? If what you say is true, then it's probably being overun." His face became very sad. "Do you think anyone will get away?"
Then a very odd thing happened. Razzaroo stamped his hoof and looked up, speaking assertively. "Then we'll wait until morning. We'll go back and see what's happened. And we'll think of a way to fight back. I want my town back."
Silverfall smiled, impressed. She nodded. Then she added, "We'll wait for our messanger to return with news. Then we will follow Razzaroo's plan and return to Ponyville first-light."
Razz wrinkled his nose. He still didn't know what messanger she was talking about, but then maybe she was talking about the dog?
"Will he be long?" Razz asked.
"I hope not," Silverfall answered, looking then to Silver Shadow.

Silver Shadow was silent for a moment, thinking of what Razz had just asked. "Yes. Some of them should be able to slip away. But, I wonder what would be left to return to in the morning..." He sighed for a moment and turned to Silverfall. "He shan't be too long, though you can't quite always trust one of his kind. They can be rather forgetful."
Just as Silver Shadow finished the sentence, the gnomes and sylph began pointing at something far off in the disantance. The dark purple unicorn smiled and galloped off. "He's here. I'll be back soon." He called out.
He made his way though the grass, followed closely by curious gnomes and the two silvery sylphs. The pale-gold sylph was dancing around joyfully and rushed over to Silver Shadow. "Its good to see you too." Silver Shadow laughed. Then in a serious tone he whispered to the sylph. "Tell me; what is happening at the castle?" The sylphs face became grave as he described the events at the castle and the mayor's office. Silver Shadow nodded and slowly made his way back to the group.
"Ill news, my friends." He said solemly once he reached the group. "The castle has been taken, along with the mayor's office. At least six ponies are being held captive at this moment and there are others who are in the castle but have no knowledge of what is to come. A few of the brave ones are fighting the Evils; a black pegasus, a purple mare and an orange mare in particular. But how well they are fighting, I'm not sure. But, I believe that the majoirity of those in the castle have a fairly good idea that there is trouble and that the Evil Ones are the cause. The Blue and the Green-" He looked at Silverfall briefly before continuing. "-are in the mayor's office and are having the fight with the purple and orange mares; Four evils are in the castle. The Yellow, the Red, the Orange and the Indigo. The Violet couldn't be found, but I have the feeling she's in the castle with them. Doing what she does best." He took a deep breath. "That is all I think..." He looked the sylph who nodded slowly. "But, I don't know what could be happening at this very moment. Things have happened ever so quickly..."

Silverfall pawed the earth and fretted while Silver Shadow ran off to talk to his companion. She hated the idea of allowing the evil ponies to take over the town, but she also knew that without the ability to gather and warn the townsfolk, there would be little they could do by joining the fray. It seemed their only choice was to wait until the smoke cleared. At least they could then see what they were up against and begin to devise some sort of plan to save Ponyville.
Razzaroo was watching Silver Shadow with great interest, being unable to determine who "He" was that Silver Shadow had galloped off to see. He was craning his neck, trying to see over the tall grasses, but then Silver Shadow returned with the news.
"Then they have not yet joined," Silverfall said upon hearing the tale of the evil ponies in the castle. Her tone seemed relieved. "One thing is certain. Whatever we do, we must not let them join."
"What happens if they join?" Razz asked.
"Darkness will destroy Ponyville."
"Oh." Razz was miserable. "Well, I'd prefer it if we didn't let them do that, then."

We wont let them do that will we Razzaroo?
The wind seemed to whisper the words as a small bit of violet color rippled through the crisp air. Trasparently, it wrapped around Razzaroo, engulfing him in its strange light before fading quietly to a simple halo of aura-like color.
Violet, the mind reader.

"No, no we won't," Razzaroo shook his head, responding to the voice. Then looking around he tried to figure out who had spoken. Suddenly it seemed like everyone was talking at once. "Hey, now! I can't hear! One at a time! One at a time!"
"Razzaroo," Silverfall said. "Who are you talking to?"
"I'm talking to you!" Razz said, his ears flat. "And you, and you and you, and you, and you!" He said in turn to each member of the group. Then flatly he added. "Well, you would be stressed, too! I think I have every right to be a little upset with you talking about me like that right in front of me."
Silverfall gave a quick, little kick and came forward to inspect Razzaroo. There is something different here, she thought to herself. It was almost as if there was some faint trace of magic coming from him, a slight aura. But where had it come from? And what was it doing?
"What are you talking about," Razz bent away from her.
Something very strange is going on.
"I'm perfectly fine. Quit it." He pushed her away.
Stubborn old goat, hold still.
With eyes rolled back, Razzaroo puffed himself out. "I AM NOT A STUBBORN OLD GOAT!"
Silverfall's ears perked forward. Can you hear me?
"Well, of course I..." Razz's voice trailed off, its anger forgotten as he realized the silver unicorn had spoken without moving her mouth. "Hey, that's a really neat trick Sil. How do you do that?"
I'm not doing it, Razz.
"Well, don't be silly," Razz answered with a stomp of his hoof. "How else could I hear what you're saying?"
That, my friend, is a very good question.

Silver Shadow watched the two of them curiously. The gnomes that hanged around Razzaroo were watching him with a great deal of interest as well, but they seemed to know what was happening. The purple unicorn noticed Razzaroo's aura was in a way different and that he was showing an ability to read Silverfall's mind without knowing it. The way Silverfall said not a word and how Razz replied, made it slightly obvious.
"Why didn't you say you could read minds, Razzaroo?" Silver Shadow asked politely, although he didn't like the thought of someone intruding his thoughts. "Well... tell me what I'm thinking of. If you say what I'm thinking of, then you must have the ability to read other ponies minds." I wonder if Razz could read the minds of the Evils if he is able to read ours...

"I-I can't read minds," Razzaroo said desperately, but even he was losing ground in his disbelief. "I-I wouldn't try to intrude on purpose. Honestly, I didn't know. Even if I could use this power to read the minds of the evils, I don't think I'd want to."
He started to pace frantically.
"Everytime I look at someone, I hear a voice. There are voices all around. Where are they coming from? And why can I hear them now?"
Peace, Razz. Silverfall was sending him a feeling of warmth and enclosure, like a warm, cozy blanket on a frosty winter morning. He found it surprising that she could send him a feeling in addition to words. I cannot read minds, but I can perhaps teach you a discipline that will help you to control it. I do not know why you have been given such a gift, but it may prove useful in our fight against the evils.
"OK. What do I do?"
Send me a feeling or thought. The first thing you think of, try and push it in my direction.
Razz scrunched up his face, thinking hard. Suddenly, his eyes snapped open and he blushed very deeply. Silverfall's face remained impassive, though Razz caught the hint of laughter in her thoughts.
"Let's try that again," she said. So he did and this time she said, "Much better. How about you try to send Silver Shadow a thought? Here, I will send you a thought and you can send it to him, OK?"
Razz looked from Silverfall to Silver Shadow and gently pushed Silverfall's thought in his direction, realizing that the strength with which he transferred the thought wholly affected the way the receiver perceived it. He didn't want to force it upon him.
We will head back to Razz's at first-light. Then without realizing it, he let another thought slip through. Why do I have the feeling I'm supposed to be somewhere?

Silver Shadow smiled and nodded. He was use to this thought thing and it was very easy, for him anyway. It was basically the same as speaking in thought to the sylphs or the elemental ponies, except this time with Razzaroo. He lightly sent back a thought to Razzaroo. Very Well then. Razz, I think that someone is calling for you and that you are meant to met them in a particular place. I don't know who they are, but we will find out soon enough. By the way, exactly how many voices do you hear? Six or more?
((occ: what time is it on this post now?))
