Razzaroo stumbled in the door. He had meant to put on a good show, to make it look like he wasn't injured, but the walk home had left him feeling somewhat dizzy.
Sky Feathers was in the main room, playing with blocks. She had built up a large wall nearly over her head. She looked up as Razz came in and sight of her uncle terrified her. Her body froze.
Razz reached for a dining room chair. He intended to sit, but had to lean on it as he caught his breath.
Sky Feathers felt a bolt of courage. She toppled the corner of her block wall as she rushed to Razz's side. She reached up to touch his face and then helped him to sit.
"Uncle Razz," she said in a hushed tone. "What is happening?"
"The gods are battling in the Ponyville Square," he said. The young pegasus filly was shaking and he reached out to steady her in turn. "Easy, Sky, they're not coming this way."
"It's not that," she said. She could feel the magic of the gods coursing through the aura of the town. She had tried to get away from it, but there was nowhere she could go. She didn't know how to explain this to Razz.
"Be a good filly," Razz said. "Get me a glass of water?"
Sky Feathers scampered off to get the water and also to find something to use as bandaging for Razz's wounds.

Star Dasher entered the room after finding a note from Whisper Wind. With wary in her eyes she looked out the window, and then at Razz. He was hurt. "Razzaroo, are you all right?" She glanced at the window again. She knew that the murdurer was out there, somewere. "What´s happening?"

Razzaroo winced as he shifted around in the chair.
"Big battle in the square. The gods are at war," he said. "We think they were responsible for the recent deaths."
Sky Feathers came back in with some dish rags, a bowl, a glass, and a pitcher of water. She poured some for her uncle. Razz took the glass and drank while Sky filled the bowl with water. Then she dipped a dish rag in the water and offered it to him. He pressed the rag to the wound on his chest and hissed.
"Stings quite a bit. I guess the big one missed anything important," he said about the arrowhead in his chest. His leg and shoulder still hurt, too, but not nearly as much.

Dasher felt scared as the news reached into her mind. Then she saw the pain Razz was going trough, she wished that she could help him, but many things stopped her from doing it. First of all, she did´nt know how to. For another reson, she felt so unwanted - and as helpless as little Sky Feathers. She was a villian, after all - and she did´nt blame Razzaroo for her feeling of not being suposed to be there. "...What do they want with us?" She asked, more to herself, not looking at Razz but out the window again. Then she turned to him. She got a strange feeling by looking at him - It was he who had made her calm down last night. She wondered if he had done it becuse he wanted to be polite, or something else... Next moment she could´nt bear it anymore. "Oh, Razzaroo," she suddenly said, walking over to his chair. "Can I help you? Do you need anything?" She definitly felt that she owe him so much. A slight moment she wondered if she should suggest him to get up to his room and get some rest. Then it struck her that he perhaps was´nt able to get up.

"I don't suppose you know a surgeon?" Razz laughed. The whole ordeal had left him rather tired, but in good spirits. Somehow, he had to get the arrowheads out.

"Is it that bad?" The mare shook her head in concern before looking closer. With a slight gasp, she saw the arrow that were pierced into his skin. "Oh, Great Rainbow, Razzaroo, did the gods do this to you?" She took his hoof that was squeezing the dish rag, that was now red with blood. "Is it deep? Hold my hoof - perhaps I can pull it out".

"Do you think you can?" Razz asked, hopeful and hesitant. He wasn't looking forward to having them removed, but he knew it had to be done. "They are deep enough to burn like the fires of the Black Barns." He laughed. "Somehow, I was caught in the crossfire. I should have seen it coming. Or been better prepared with armor. But I think the gods will get you whenever they want. It might not have made much difference."
He turned then to Sky Feathers.
"You do not have to stay and watch, Sky," he said. "I'll be OK now."
"No, I want to stay," Sky said. There was no childlike hesitation in her voice. Only a firm resolution.

( Haven't rped her in a while, so here goes )
A ball of white and purple tumbled in from the next room. It untangled itself and looked over at Razz. "Look Razz, I'm practising my somersaults..." She paused as she saw what had happened to Razz. Gumdrop turned a shade of green.
"What happened...?" She whispered as she approached him.

Gumdrop's appearance caught Razz by surprise. He was immediately concerned for the look on her face when she saw him.
"It's OK, it's OK," he said, still hushed. "I had an accident, but I'm OK. I just need a little healing up and I'll be ready for pancakes."

The smile soon returned to Gumdrop's face. "Pancakes? Yay!" She sat by Razz's side loyally.
( Just as I wrote the word pancakes, someone on the tv behind me said 'Would you like some pancakes, my love?" It reminded me immediately of Razz and Kail. xD )

Star Dasher looked in concern at the filly who was bounding in. She wondered if it was a good idea to keep the foals there. It was hard for herself to see Razzaroo sitting there. "I will try, Razz, but I don´t know if I can make it. I would´nt like to hurt you." But she understood that it had to be daone, and Razz must have felt the same. She leaned even closer to his chest. With both hooves occupided, one holding Razzaroo´s hoof, one placed on his chest by the arrows, she lowered her head and took a hold of one of the arrows with her teeth. Slowly and as gently as she could, she tried to pull it out. She did´nt know if she should have pulled it out all at once. That might have hurt Razz even more. She put her ears flat to her neck as the head of the arrow was starting to let go of Razzaroo´s flesh.

Razzaroo's eyes began to bulge and water, for the pain was indeed unpleasant. He tried to smile at the foals, but Sky wasn't fooled. Shaking a bit, she turned to Gumdrop.
"Maybe we should get more towels." She nosed the other filly toward the bathroom. "C'mon. I'll need your help to carry them."
She walked into the bathroom and flipped on the light. Opening the cupboard, she realize the laundry must be piling up. Most of the bottom shelves were empty, but there were a few towels on the top shelf.
"Up there," she said. "Gotta climb up."

The first arrow was halfway out when Sky Feathers asked Gumdrop for help to get towels. Star wanted to tell the Filly that it was a good idea, but knew that she just could´nt let go of the arrow just now. She glanced up at Razzaroo, who smiled trough the pain. Of course he did not want to scare the foals, Dasher understood that well. It was somewhat heroic to smile even if he got arrows pierced trough his chest, the mare thought. Dasher pulled another moment and the arow let go of Razz´s flesh. Star Dasher was on her way to faint when she once again felt blood towards her hoof. She put the arrow on the kitchen table and loked at Razz. "Do you want me to take the others now?" She would understand if he could´nt bear more - it must have been painful enough to have made it into the nursery at all.

Gumdrop was reluctant to leave Razz's side but made towards the door.
Once in the bathroom, the cupboard doors were opened and she stared up at the towels.
"Up there," she said. "Gotta climb up."
Gumdrop prodded Sky's wings. "Why don't you make them work?"

Sky Feathers looked over her shoulder at her wings.
"Don't be silly. I ain't gots no room to take off." She stood next to the cabinet and spread her wings low. "You climb up and get the towels."
Razz let out a pent up breath. It came out in a great whoosh.
"Ooooh," he said. "That's much better." Somehow, the burning sensation was lessened now, even if the blood was still flowing. "You might as well get the others out. Better sooner than later, I guess." He took another deep breath.
