"You didn't have a clue?!,"
Inti forced a nervous smile, and a bead of sweat ran down the side of his face. "Uh.....no."
"What's wrong with you?! You are a GOD!! Don't act as if you can't feel the spiritual vibrations of those around you! You could have easily sensed her out just as you could sense out the locations of the other gods!"
"Well yeah," Inti said losening up. He moved away from the corner and back to where Peri was standing. "But it's not like I hve to be on guard all the time.." He said shruging with a more confident grin. Or else I'd turning into a crabbin' old lady like someone I know.. He thought, joking only to himself, and mentally chuckling.
"Trying to help?," she snapped back with a loud and obnoxious snort, "YOU SHOULD HAVE HELPED TAKE DOWN YAMA!!"
"Yeah...help! It's what friends do for each other..." With that Inti's voice trailed off almost afraid he had said those words. What if she didn't consider him a friend at all? Would all this rescuing been for nothing? Even if she didn't consider him a friend he would always do what he could to help her, he decided. "And I would've taken down Yama but instead he ran off. I guess I'm just THAT intimidating, aren't I?" He grinned, flexing his muscles and puffing out his chest in a very heroic pose.
When Inti's mage was given "the evil eye" from Brigid, Inti put his hoof on Peri's shoulder. "Don't worry.." He said in a whisper trying to reassure him. "She's probably just cranky from the fight."
"You treat your mages as if they were friends.," she snickered, "THAT is why I told you to fight for her!! Calliope obviously frightened her, and although I wanted her myself, she would not have been right for me. You should have followed her, THAT is why this is YOUR FAULT!"
This wasn't working. Nothing was going to calm the mare down. Not gentleness, or sterness. He honestly was very sorry about what had happened to the purple mare, and if he'd known what was going to happen to her he would've chased after her, but you cannot alter the past. It was one f the principals Incans belived in, but Brigid, obviously, was not going to let it go. He sighed deeply, giving up. Perhaps the only thing that would satisfy her is if he aggred to her everyword.
"You're right, Brigid, it is my fault. It's my fault the purple mare got away, it's my fault we couldn't defeat Yama, and it's my fault all this had to happen." He spoke in a calm, serious tone. There was no hint of offensveness, nor any trace of a joking tone. He looked into her green eyes ith his brown ones, which seemed to be reflecting back at him.

Inti's sudden swing of emotion, and more importantly, his acceptance of the accusations, struck Brigid entirely off guard. She wasn't expecting Inti to finally give into them, or at least as fast as he did. This left her somewhat perplexed, and she fell silent, though a still stubborn and angered face kept true.
You're limping."
Brigid turned her eyes away from her mage's gaze and out the window. "Aye, that I am.," she murmured quietly with a hint of a damaged pride. The electrical lights were beginning to fade on, as the sky began to grow dark. Her green eyes closed a moment in reflection, her body taking in a deep and slow breath.
How long can the light fight of the dark? she asked softly in thought to Dragonrose. The darkness comes in eternal cycles, yet, light can and will burn out. The dark gods were obviously growing quite stronger, as was the light gods as well, but Brigid could not help but wonder, even with the shadow gods to balance, if what they were doing was perhaps pointless?
What am I saying? she thought to herself, I lose one fight, and one mage- She briefly focused her mind upon Moon Crystal. Although drained of much strength, she could barely recount the auras around her. What she found did not improve her condition. -two mages, and I am doubting our purpose?
Her ears flipped down in disapproval of herself, she should never think as such, she was a goddess! There was no point in being one if she had mortal emotions of self-doubt! But the beige goddess somehow knew it though, the seed was planted, and she obviously was collecting self-doubt.
The smoky flutter's return pulled her from her thoughts, and Brigid turned back to see and smell the fresh meal. It would seem that her stomach churned in response to the delightful aroma, finally speaking up to her that she truly was as she had said earlier, famished. Officially complying (at least momentarily) to the wishes of her company, Brigid took a place on her bed to receive her portion of the meal.

The light will fight the dark until the world crumbles into dust. Dragonrose stared out one of the stained glass windows the Inn was known for. But defeat--and victory--are temporary. More so for you than us... The flutter shifted her weight. She was but one year shy of having lived four decades. An ancient crone in this city of youth... Her thoughts drifted, as they often did, before she brought herself to the present with a shake.
And I will fight alongside you until I am dust as well, m'lady.

Inti frowned. The upside was that he's figured out how to calm Brigid's temper. The downside was that he might have hurt her feelings in the process. He felt very guilty for how her mood had changed and looked off to the side with lowered ears and sighed deeply to himself. His golden earings jingled softly.
He hated seeing Brigid so low. After all, if Brigid, probably one of the strongest, wizest of the Lights did not have confidence that they would defeat the darks, what hope was there for the rest of the Light gods?
"Don't worry Brigid." He said, forcing a smile in hopes to cheer her up. "We'll find away to beat the Darks. Just wait and see." Genuine hope was in his voice.
When her food arrived, the smell of it made his mouth begin to water. However, the stallion said nothing, know she would need it all to regain her strength.

Brigid gave Dragonrose a subtle, but still warm and thankful smile. Even though the beige goddess was rough and tough often, there was a tiny side of her that could seem nice once in a while, at least to those she cared to show it to.
Inti's words of encouragement only annoyed Brigid. She was well aware of these things, and although she didn't feel like it was true at that moment, eventually her mind would reach the same agreement.
However, one thing was certain, two ideal light mages were lost to any of the light gods. Moon Crystal had been the one Brigid was primarily interested with, however, she could by slightly satisfied with her being a shadow mage. At least then she may have to join with the light side in the future. The case with Wysteria and Yama... it made her blood boil. Of all dark gods it had to be Yama!
She had a bone to pick with that black peg, but one thing kept her from trying to form any initial plots of revenge. Tyr. Without a doubt Tyr would probably take the matter into hand just because the immortal referee, it seamed. Should Brigid probably do something in return to Yama now under Tyr's nose, she'd probably feel the same heated anger Yama eventually would. And Brigid knew well enough to not be at the receiving end of that anger.
Slowly she sipped at the meal, feeling it's warming affects comforting her aches. I cannot say that I can control my actions if he should provoke me, she thought silently to herself, If Tyr should ever approach me of the situation, I'll agree not to physically seek out revenge. But if Yama tries anything while I am near him, I cannot promise anything not to come of that.
Much as she really hated it, Brigid would just have to stick with the rules right now. If the shadow gods weren't there to even odd, well, Brigid definitely would go all out again against Yama if she could, because that's how gods thought. They believed in taking back things they thought were rightfully there's, and Brigid was no different.
Finally she muttered out, "How long do you suppose these wounds will take to heal?" A fighter she was, a healer she was not.
-----
Peri Winkle was rather uncertain now of the entire situation. From the midst of what he had been hearing, he wagered a mage was stolen, Brigid was mad about it, and got her butt kicked. However, the actor failed to see why and how it was Inti's fault. At this point, Peri was ready to call the light goddess a loony, of course not to her face. Then again, he had mused, it quite has possibly been due to monthly problems and she was just rather enraged and uncontrollable. Whatever the case may have been, Peri Winkle was quite certain that he needed answers from his god.
He looked back over to Inti, placing a confident smile that echoed the emotion in Inti's earlier words. He made a head gesture for the door. "Perhaps we should let her rest, leave her mages to tend her?," he said to him without trying to mask saying it, "You can stay at my place in the castle?"

(ooc: quick post. hope you don't mind. ) How long do you suppose these wounds will take to heal?"Inti shrugged. He wasn't really sure whether she was talking to him or the other mare. He wouldn't see why she'd be talking to him, seeing he was the one that put her in a bad mood, but he pipped in nonetheless being the talker that he was. "I don't know, but hopefully soon." He said with a sigh and a half-smile. His tail bun wagged slowly. He hoped her mood was getting better, but with Brigid one should never get thier hopes too high. "Perhaps we should let her rest, leave her mages to tend her?," he said to him without trying to mask saying it, "You can stay at my place in the castle?" "Really?" He said slightly surprised. "Thanks. I've been looking for a place to stay. And yes, we should get going and leave the queen to her rest." He said with a hint of sarcasm. He wanted to lighten the mood for Peri, knowing the poor guy was probably very confused and disoriented at the moment. He turned back to Brigid. "Well Brigid... We'll be seein' ya." He said with a smile. His hispanic accent made his statement sound more cheerful than it actually was. With that he gave a nod to Peri and opened the door to let PeriWinkle out before him to show him the way to the castle.

Brigid ignored the fact that Inti left with his mage. An anger burned inside her still, and although she would have liked to continue her barage on the other, she'd all ready done enough to him. It was also time that she forced herself to calm down, which she knew.
Instead of feeding the fire that was her emotions, she tried hard to focus on her meal. Inside her laid a mix of anger and a bit of despair. Inti had meant well with his vigorous response, but Brigid could not look upon Inti as being any more than a naive god. A trait in mortals Brigid disapproved of. It couldn't be helped, however. Mortals grew out of naiveté with age, and Brigid had to rely on mortals either way, naiveté or not.
Sipping slowly and remaining as stationary as possible to avoid sharp pains, did Brigid stay until her meal was finished. By this time, she was at a more pleasant calmness, and her body finally feeling the affects of the fight. Softly, she spoke to her mage and daughter, "I wish to rest. Please leave me."
Her green eyes warmed as she looked back to the two, pushing a feeling of comfort into them. "I will be fine."

(Assuming it is morning)
Sun streamed through opened windows, heating all ready muggy air. The light hit the tiny dust particles ever so present, as well as striking the slumbering immortal. The muscles in Brigid's face contorted, as if straining would force herself to sleep longer.
Unfortunately, Brigid was an early riser no matter what hour she went to bed at, and could not prevent her body from emerging from that sleep. It never helped that her body ached so. For the most part, the goddess felt her physical strength rejuvenated. The downside to the time spent sleeping and cooling down was that she felt the full burden of her injuries. Sadly, immortality did not grant eternal painkillers.
Brigid did not hesitate in clenching her eyes shut before releasing a low groan. Her shoulder and hip were horribly stiff from the medical bandages (tape and fur weren't Brigid's cup of tea at all), and a throbbing ache was all around her due to the many bruises on her body. Straining briefly to see her chest and belly, Brigid found her skin looking more black than beige.
Rather unsatisfied with her appearance, she flopped her head back down on her pillow with a small snort. It hurt to move, really it did, and Brigid didn't like the thought of even remotely staying still. Or being confined to a bed, for that matter. Oh no, certainly not after spending centuries asleep, Brigid without a doubt had to be moving.
Trying to force the thought back, she opted to see exactly how terrible her bandaged flesh wounds were. Straining her neck once again, the goddess made good use of her horn to wedge the bandage along her body up for a peek inside. Calmly, she pushed the tape back down with her horn. Again, she returned her head to a level position.
"This will not due. I cannot sit here while the other gods can easily seek out mages. There must be a cleric of sorts. There is always a cleric around it seems. Least back then there was."
The goddess closed her eyes and gently began to inhale before pushing her aura out into the air about her. As if she had millions of tiny little extra sensory antennae did she feel out for a cleric. Most healers were lightly aligned, which made them all the easier to pick out. Finally, the mental image of a pony came forth, and surprisingly to her it was the same pegasus from the beach with the foals.
Curious of this new detail, Brigid began to concentrate further in hopes of more information.

(Uh, I´m playing an NPC if allright -!-) A skinny, purple pony entered the Black Dragon. Her steps was not to be heard. She sat down by a table. Moments later, a pony appeared buy the table. "Do you wish to order something?" Star Dasher imideatly jumped when spoken to. She glanced at the pony, then got an evil glare in her eyes. She smiled. "Yeah ..." Star ordered two big plates of food.

(Er - ok.) As soon as Star Dasher had finished her meal, she rised from the table, She would not wait for the pony coming back for payment. Nope - she rose on her hind legs, got down and ran owards the door. (Well - you could make an attempt to stop her. But I´m going to let her run off...)

The beige goddess continued gently sensing out the world around the healer in question. The area was noisy, unlike the noise of arguing adults, but of child ruckus. All ready Brigid frowned in half horror. Although she did sense the smoky flutter there which seemed to make her momentarily smile, the thought of so many other foals present did not sit well with her.
Hadn't the pegasus mention she worked at a nursery? Yes, Brigid could have sworn to recall her mentioning such at the beach. That was probably where she was at that current moment. Splendid she sarcastically thought before wincing I refuse to set foot in a foal's living establishment looking like I am just to have a quick heal. If one foal should rip off my bandages, well, all of them could be terrified to death, if my bruises hadn't done that all ready!
Her lips pressed firmly together in mild frustration. Still not loosening her mental hold on Kailani's whereabouts, Brigid sensed the peg using her healing powers. At least Brigid knew for certain she wasn't wrong in whom she was focusing on. However, her mind wandered back to the beach, and to Kailani's initial response to Inti's blundering big mouth. The concept of gods seemed to have...not frightened her, but more so made her feel uneasy. It would be my luck that one capable of washing these wounds away would be somewhat unliking of us gods.
The Kailani Escape Goat plan didn't seem to be looking well. Brigid would never show up to her threatening to be healed, and for some reason, Brigid was doubting that offering her word that she would exclude her from her own magery plans would entice her. The goddess made up her mind, if she could; she would avoid using Kailani, and would seek out for another healer.
The image of Kailani faded from her mind, and Brigid began her search again.

(jumping to late night, so that Brigid can mosey over to the Inti/Peri/Jewel/Tsu/Eshu thread. XD)
Brigid's searching turned up fruitless. Fruitless only due to Brigid's lack of strength, as of late. The sleep she'd received over the night had helped in restoring some of her reserves, however, the goddess had quickly resumed a state of slumber through her meditative searching of a healer. By the time Brigid had willed her green eyes open again, it was clearly night.
She cursed herself under her breath. How could she had just fallen asleep when she had needed something so crucial? Still, the wounds, which had been terribly painful earlier, had begun to ebb in intensity. She was immortal, after all, and although she herself did not specialize in healing, her body had a faster metabolism than mortals. The flesh wounds were till on her body, of course, but the pain reduced to this level she could at least bare.
Having concluded this to be true, Brigid found that there was nothing left to fine her to her bed, and promptly stood up. Her muscles felt stiff, especially so around her wounds. After a few slow steps, Brigid was more than pleased at how far along the healing was going. With luck, the wounds would be nothing more than light scabs within a few days. Now that this is no longer a problem to myself, I must speak with Inti. I cannot forgive what he had done....
She paused, reflecting back on the day before, her head hanging in guilt. And....to apologize. It was not entirely his fault that Yama had managed to get away with such a deed. I too, am at fault. I did not use my head, and had rushed into a battle I could not have surely won. I had accused Inti of things that were not entirely his fault, and for that, I feel shameful about.
Shaking her head of such strong, emotions, Brigid resolved that the sooner she spoke with Inti, the sooner something could be done. Though, she would be d*mned to let anyone aside Inti hear her admit to being wrong. With that aside, Brigid quickly turned out the sights around her in order to seek out Inti's whereabouts.
The castle...He and the white stallion...A pegasus...and-- She paused, focusing harder as if it was to clarify what she had sensed. A young foal, I feel Set's energy lingering around him.
The very thought Set at all had taken a young and innocent child as a mage left her stomach feeling shaken.
And....another dark gad. Eshu...what is Eshu doing there? Snapping her mind of what was in Inti's presence, Brigid resolved that if anything, Eshu did not mean well. And with the beige unicorn never once giving the thought that Inti could manage himself, Brigid made now hesitation to head to Inti's aid.
(con. at castle I guess)
