So I promised a few of you some Ponyland History. Only it seems I was so concerned with Coursian History that I never learned my DV history, and when I just read it... well nothing matches. We are even using two completely different maps *shudders* There's another ocean for one. Ponytown is across the ocean. So are the Friendship Gardens. There's a desert between Dream Valley and the Northlands. Heck, there's even a MOUNTAIN before the desert! This makes my head hurt. Not that most of you will probably find a problem in this, but it bugs me. We can't have a different map from the original DV, because we are growing off the history of the original DV. So I guess now its time to decide what to keep and what to throw out from either the DV history or the history I've thrown together since then. And the other thing bugging me is that Ponyland is essentially flat. We don't know what's on the other side of the land. What lies past the Darklands and past Haven's Valley? Cause the Darklands and Haven's Valley sure aren't next to each other on the other side of the world. Anyone interested in majorly rehauling the world as they know it with me?

I can try... I really need a visual though. IM me if you want some input from me, though I'm not such an oldbie that I've been there from the start.

Are you calling me old? Don't worry, the only one of us who have been there from the start is Amber. I came very shortly before the original DV died.

I'd keep a mountain chain before the desert. That's the reasons deserts exist is because rain can't make it ove rthe mountains... So the area before the sert should be a pretty rainy temperate climate and then mountains separating themselves from the mountains. *nods*

I'll help, of course, as I am apparently positively ANCIENT around here. O.o And as the last owner of DV (*cries*) I have the more recent history down. And you can't forget Fatum Island! lol
I was one of the original members of DV, I think? Great gracious gods. At least, I came along pretty early on. How...scary?

Don't worry, I got a link to the Fatum History page Although the more recent history of Fatum alludes me (the history of Fatum I have is from a hundred years ago). I still have to work the mage wars in too. How do those fit in with the DV history from the original site? (I might scrap that history... Kari gave me permission)

Ok, the new map, the official Ponyland Map (please tell me if there is anything that is wrong on this quickly, so I don't go committing it to memory) can be found here: www.delphinbella.com/C03/Map.html

So Fewa wouldn't be included in a map, since it's not a place everyone can go to?

I always imagined Fewa as another realm. Like parallel or something with this world but not actually a place you can get to by boat or anything.

I would suggest those places in the other RPG's like the Harry Potter one (Hogwarts?), Blue Monday (Madison City or something like that?) X-ponies (Westchester, New York) or Tales (Ponyland).
But then it occurred to me that they aren't on the same timelines or anything so their histories wouldn't be incorporated, right?

Yeah, they wouldn't be on the map cause their histories have nothing to do with C03s, and most of them don't even occur in C03's Ponyland. There is no New York in Ponyland, at least not anylonger, so something like X-Ponies wouldn't work on our map. (However, in the version of history that is about to be scrapped X-Ponies comes long long long before the history anyone in Ponyland remembers (even the old gods) and basically things ended in war and out of that sprang new herds and such that grew into todays ponyland. Anywho, that was a long tangent...)

*nodsnods* I've been thinking, (which can be dangerous) we should probably close down X-ponies instead of letting it die a slow and painful death. The only people that seem to be interested in posting in it are advertizers.
