Go Whis! Passin' on the tradition! I usually have a pony with me at all times, even when it can't be seen. During the school year I started keeping a McDonald's Daisyjo in my backpack(I have two more of her, still in their bags, so she was the only one I dared risk at school). And then for other stuff I take my Tiny Tins Sweetberry along in a purse, as a little good luck charm. It's just nice to have a pony with you for emotional support.

Hmm, when was the last time I carried a pony around? Oh yes now I remember!
It was the day I got Up Up and Away. She came in the mail, and when I opened her, I loved her to pieces the minute I saw her in person! She had a cute ribbon in her hair, and one in her tail, too! My sister had a dance recital that night, and I took Up Up and Away with me! XD I just couldn't let her stay home! I had just gotten her! XD

Oh, the new-pony love... *sniffs nostalgically* It's been a while since I got a new G1, although I just got G3 Flippity Flop, who amuses me to no end ; ).
YAY G1S! They're my favorites, of course, because they're where I started. One of my first ponies was pearly Baby Moondreamer - I remember getting her in the mail, how happy I was! I still have her. I'm sure I had others before then (I had to get the mail-order brochure from somewhere, right?), but I dunno who they were. I have about 50 ponies now, though, plus an almost whole collection of Dream Beauties, who I love.
Well, Twirler is a darling, I love pink. I don't have any Dance-n-Prances; what exactly do they do?

They basically... dance. Or jiggle. As I recall, you did something to them and then they start vibrating so that they move across the floor and twirl their tail around and around and around. At least, that's how I remember my old Twirler. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hmm well I've never had a Dance n Prance pony before, I was wondering how they "danced" exactly, lol! XD But anyway, the G2s are my favorites because I grew up with them! I treasure my G2s the most in my entire collection, I always have, and I always will. The G2s will always, and I do mean always, be my favorites! I will never love a G1 or a G3 more than a G2! Hmm, actually I do remember taking Dainty Dove somewhere......but I forgot where I took her. I know we saw a movie....I don't remember which one though, lol! It was a few years ago!

Lol, they actually dance? I thought they just played music and spinned their tails.

Wow, there's a lot of confusion here! Okay - pony mysteries revealed! The Dance N' Prances have flower-shaped knobs("brooches") on their chests, and when you turn them their tails spin. If you hold the tail in place while you spin the knob you can basically "wind it up", but I don't really think that's what you're supposed to do - they just work that way. Sadly, they don't play music, Whis. But Crescent, you were pretty much right - when you use the "winding up" method, the pony does vibrate a fair bit while the tail-twisting mechanism unwinds itself. But really, Hasbro was pretty misleading with the name, as the ponies didn't exactly dance or prance.

Hmm, actually, they *are* supposed to dance. At least according to Dream Valley (the collector's website) and most definitely my recollection. But the mechanism gets broken really easily. Mine didn't because I was very careful with her, but I know a few kids down my block that were less careful with their toys, so their Dance'n'Prances got broken lot quicker.

...*looks accusingly at Vos* Oh, whatever. But what exactly did they do? Just the vibrate? Cause she does when you hold her tail and twist teh knob - I've just never set her down while she was doing it.

lol, yeah, they just vibrate. If you put her down, she should move around a little. As I recall, mine used to vibrate more from the back so she ended up doing this slow circle - reeallly slow circle. But it might've been just my Twirler's quirk. Anywho, nothing very exciting, but they do dance - a little.
