Spooky trotted along then stopped near a corner out of hearing range of where they'd encountered the strangers. From this angle the castle looked almost whole, especially under the fluffy white blanket of school.
"Those poor ponies, they were a little...off." Spooky paused and looked up.
"what do you think of the castle?"

Binnacle managed a small laugh. "I know. I ws a bit....worried," he said, glancing over Spooky's shoulder to see if the two were following them. He looked at the castle from their new position. "From this angle, it seems as if the castle were still in one piece," he murmured. A small smile tugged at his mouth. The seapony/earthpony breathed in the cool winter air and thought, Earth ponies really live a great life.

With the realization that he was losing his prospective worshippers, Eshu galloped in order to slide in front of them as they left, "Two questions, what do you ponies here have against other religions, and what can I do to prove I am not a madman and stop her from talking to me as if I were a meer foal.?"

Yama smirked at Eshu's words and turned away, but he kept his ears open for their answer. He was sure he felt his locket give a jolt at that moment... A worried look spread over his face as he peered down at it. No...! It can't be. They can't break the spell! He decided he must have imagined it, and the worried look was replaced by something that looked very much like mere satisfaction. I'm too stong...

Binnacle looked surprised as Eshu approached them again. "Look- I'm okay with other religions, Your Priestliness. You guys should go into town. There's a place called the Nursery. You can stay there; they'll watch over you," the pale blue stallion said, thinking the two were messed up in the head. He felt a bit uncomfortable with the entire situation. What was up with these guys?

"I don't need anyone to 'watch over me'. I need acceptance, or is this beyond your general vocabulary my good sir? Surely there is no reason to doubt my sanity as I believe I have stated myself well. Is asking for equal treatment also beyond your comprehension?" Eshu's voice was cold and sharp as he began to become truly agitated. These fools! His thoughts were ringing with all the terrible things he wished he could do to the both of them, "Is it my breed? If not my religion why do you insist on belittling me?" Eshu's eyes narrowed dangerously, if he could not be treated with reverence, some respect might be nice at least.

Yama snarled and whipped about. He narrowed his eyes at the couple. "We don't need watching over you fools! The nerve of it- You'd better not get me angry!" He exclaimed forcefully, but he was rather hoping they would; It had been a while since he had killed someone...

SPooky laid her ears back and let her thoughts tumble around for a bit. Then she laughed.
"Maybe if you stopped acking like cranky lunatics people would be less inclined to draw that conclusion? Go! Then Stay! Go! Then Stay! Heebjiblits!"
Spooky paused and looked over the two crankies' shoulders, intently watching the crest of the hill.

Eshu nodded thoughtfully, "I'm afraid I can't switch companions very easily..." he shot a look at Yama as if to remind the other to remain calm. "So I take it I have found no new followers for my religion? Very well, then pass, you have nothing to fear, from me anyways." Eshu moved aside and made a guestur that they move on, though inside he was seething. Deep breathes now, they have no idea who you are after all, and I'm afraid that telling them right out might only encourage the mare's point.

Binnacle drew his head back. "Whoa," he said, "You guys are pretty tightly wound." Then, as an afterthought, he added, "No offense. And if you're looking for followers, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Just about everyone here believes in the Rainbow, and who wants to switch something they believe in so strongly? You might get a few, but...." He trailed off. What did it matter anyway? The stallions weren't lunatics, but that didn't stop them from acting it. With their attitudes, Binnacle doubted anyone would convert to their religion at all.

"I think that cloud looks like a crocodile eating an apple pie."
Spooky focused back on Binnacle, and trotted after him.
"So, what do you think of the castle?"
Outwardly she seemed to have forgotten about the strangers, but inside she was willing herself to forget about them before she spazzed out.

Binnacle looked at Spooky with utter confusion. Then, he shrugged and tilted his head up at the clouds. "It does, a bit," the seapony answered truthfully, "And the castle's great, or should I say this half of the castle is great." He couldn't help but laugh a little. Focus on the two strangers was beginning to wear away from Binnacle's mind. He almost forgot them entirely until he was reminded of Eshu's harsh voice.

Spooky giggled.
"You know, I think with some fires and roasting chestnuts this place would be great tonight. All those shadows dancing around, like spirits!"
Spooky grinned, eyes shining.
"What do you...oh, you can't be at the castle at night, can you?"

Binnacle looked thoughtful. "That's a great- oh, wait. No, I can't be at the castle at night." He heaved a sigh. If only I could stay for just one night, he thought. But he realized with guilt how sad his family would be that he no longer wanted to reside with them in the water.

For about half a second she thought about sticking him in a big bucket, but then she shook the thought off.
"It wouldn't be fun without you here, I don't think."
