Inti frowned. "I know what cancer is, and I'm really sorry that happened to you and your familiy." He said sounding more focused than emotional. "And so where was this rainbow of yours then? In my area of the world, I made a strong effort to bless everyone with health, at least those who desirved it. It's part of a god's many responsibilities," he paused, thinking to himself for a seccond. Brigid and the others may think I'm naive, but I will never forget how to care for my people. "So I can't understand why your so-called rainbow did not protect your father from the illness."
He blinked, realising he might be digging to deep, so he changed the subject by Peri's lead. "But nevermind that boring stuff. Breakfast sounds great." He said with a grin.
He brushed his hoof down his mowhawk to straighten it, since it had become unrully durring sleep. He gave his body a good shake to wake himself up, and he started to make his bed like a good guest should.
"After breakfast we've got some work to do." He said, his voice practaclly hanging in the air.

The white stallion kept one ear focused upon Inti while he ducked into the kitchen. He had a hankering for some pancakes, with maple syrup to boot. For a brief moment he check his fridge to see if he had "the good stuff" as opposed to the brand store syrup. Sure enough, he had the goods, and pleasently started to make the meal.
"The rainbow? Well, it's a little hard to explain. The rainbow itself has always been a part of our culture. I'm not sure why it never embodies as an individual being all the time, or why he isn't around us all the time.," he said, pausing as if trying a different way to word it, "Since the rainbow isn't fully present all the time, you could say it teaches us followers faith to believe in what we can't see. Or to rely on a friend whom is always there in spirit."
Satisfied with this explanation, he continued. "About twenty or so years ago, a human--ah they're hard to describe--had come to help the ponies in time of need at Dream Valley. To help, a gift was given, a "little piece of rainbow". It's a rainbow that fits inside a tiny locket. Whether or not it is the rainbow, or just a smidgen of it, it has helped in times of need."
He poured some of the fluffy batter onto a griddle. Umm, he could just taste them now...gooey on the inside with liquid, golden sweetness sliding down his throat.
"So I can't understand why your so-called rainbow did not protect your father from the illness."
Peri Winkle did stop a moment to ponder this. It was not the first time the question had crossed his mind. He'd thought it often when he was younger, when he still has not come to terms of a lack of father figure. Always the words of his mother echoed back to him in a response, every time he asked it. And so he repeated her words back to him.
"The rainbow put us on this world to live our lives and serve a purpose, to leave our marks. After that, we return back to the rainbow to begin the cycle a new, and that, is why my father died. It was his time, it may have been short, but the rainbow knew he was needed elsewhere.," Peri said, changing just some of his mother's speech to better fit the conversation.
He liked to imagine his father as the hard-working man, the stereotypical lead in a Hemingway novel. It took a while to reach this view of him, but Peri Winkle found his life improved once he hit this point.
The actor promptly finished making the meal, as pancakes were fast to do. "No prob," he answered the other's last statement. What are we doing? We...aren't going to see that other goddess, are we? I mean, she was really harsh to you, I'm not sure she deserves your sympathy."

Peri listened to Peri carefully, but sceptically. He would often tilt his head slightly to one side, raise a brow, or swivel his ears outward, causing his earings to jingle with the sound of winter holiday bells.
"I'll never understand it, or maybe I'm just not meant to..." He said with a sigh and a shake of his head as he dismissed the conversation. He had trouble keeping his attention set on things he didn't understand, and did not want to dig further into the subject.
What are we doing? We...aren't going to see that other goddess, are we? I mean, she was really harsh to you, I'm not sure she deserves your sympathy."
He smiled half-heartedly. "She means well, and that's all that matters to me."
He looked out the window and watched a bird fly by and the wind bush against the trees. It seemed rather dim and cloudy today, but perhaps that was just because it was morning. "We're going to look for mages today. I have one particular mare in mind. I've never seen her before, but I can sence that she's here somewhere. It's kind of a god thing, you know? Anyway, I'd like to get to her before someone like Yama does first." The stallion knew that if he let another mage slip between the cracks, Brigid would be even more cross with him for sure.
He wagged his bob-tail slowly and turned to look at Peri. "So, those pinecakes smell really good. Are the ready yet?" His mouth was practically drooling as the scent of fresh pancakes and syrup filled the room and he hadn't even noticed he had mis-pronounced pancake. He's only had them once before durring his travel to Ponyville so his memory of thier name was a bit unclear.

(which mage? I'm also trying to figure out where to put Coon, lately I haven't been able to put her anywhere....besides, might be nice for her to try and loot you.)
"Yup, just done.," Peri smiled wide, setting a plate in front of the god with a healthy portion, as well as the syrup too. "Dig in, my friend. These are the best pancakes you'll have outside of the Bijou Peninsula!"
Peri digged in himself, putting as big a bite as he could fit inside. Oh! Pure heaven! "Magh huh...?," he began to talk, half still full of food. The actor than swallowed hard, before reiterating himself," Mage, huh? So who will it be? Anyone I might now?"

Inti scarfed down the delicious pancakes in an instant, making no effort to be polite as he knew he was among friends in a informal setting. He licked syrup from his lips when he was through. "Good gosh! These are delicious!" He said to Peri with a waggling bobbed tail. "You gotta give me the recipe!"
"Magh huh...?," he began to talk, half still full of food. The actor than swallowed hard, before reiterating himself," Mage, huh? So who will it be? Anyone I might now?"
Inti shook his head and his earrings jingled softly like chimes. "I don't know. All I can foresee is that it is a mare that seems to be very in-tune with nature. Where I'm from, that can be a very powerful thing when trained the right way." He smiled in a very determined way, then paused dropping all expression.
"I just hope I don't scare her off. I kinda have a tendency to do that. Like with this beautiful green pegusus on the beach. All I did was walk up and say hi and she got frightened. The same thing happened with that friend of yours. Jewel, wasn't it? She was creeped out by me, I could tell. The same goes with the purple mare... the one Brigid told me to go after." He realised he was rambling and he decided to end it. "But then again, I don't blame her after what she's been through." He shrugged with a sigh.
Shifting his tone a bit, he changed the subject. "So when can we go?"

(ooc:Hope Rose doesn't mind me doing this.
Time jump for Jewel's sake. Late at night.)
After a long day of searching for mages, (and of course with Inti's luck with magery they found no one) Inti and Peri Winkle returned home. It was rather late but Inti wasn't in the mood to sleep just yet.
He poured Peri some tea, set it on the counter, then poured a cup for himself. "We'll try again tommorow." He said, with mixed emotions in his voice like the herbs that swirled around in his teacup.
Suddenly Inti's ears swiveled behind him sensitively. He heard a noise. It sounded like the castle door being opened.
"Uh...hold that thought..." He said raising a haulting gesture to whatever Peri was about to say.
He turned around and walked up to the door slowly, which was already opened slightly. He poked his head out into the hallway to see who was coming. At first he saw nothing. Then he immidieately picked up the gentle sound of hoofbeats, and finally he saw two figures walking into the main room of the castle.
The lights had been dimmed for the aptness of nightfall, so it made it difficult to concieve who was standing there. Being let by his eyes, he walked out the door and down the hall towards them like a curious young colt.
"Hello," He said walking up to them. "Are you looking for someon..." It was then that he realized whom he was speaking to. Joy. It was Jewel, one of the mares he was convinced was afraid of him.
Catching himself in mid sentence he tried to look as kind and presentable as he most possibly could, so his chances of scaring her away was slim.
"I mean, are you looking for someone in this castle?" He said finnidhing his sentence. "I'm pretty sure most ponies here have already gone to bed."

The pegasus walked softly through the large corridors, hoping her alertness and carefulness wasn't frightening Tsuwari. Not knowing her way around, she thought her best bet would be to wander until she either found a safe-looking room, or a pony to talk to. Hoofbeats came from the opposite direction. It wasn't long before she recognized the pony as the last one whom she'd seen with Peri.
"Tsuwari, get behind me," She said quietly, though directly, to the young foal at her side. The colt hesitated and looked as if he were about to speak, "Shh--Go." He may not have been her foal, but she was still responsible for him.
Jewel halted a communicable distance from the stallion, feet firmly on the ground and remaining very alert. She didn't panic, or flee, or appear terribly defensive. But she was watching. Tsuwari peeked out from behind her back legs.
"I am only looking for a place that the foal and I may rest for the night," Jewel responded, not taking her eyes off the god. And what you've done with Peri...

((I don't believe Eshu has formally claimed Jewel yet? Mind telling me how I should go about this?))
Eshu peeked about not far off, listening to everything.. Someone with talent was near, the mare he was sure.

(ooc:Eshu is here?! OMG, Inti is in for more than he expected...and it will probably end up with Brigid yelling at him.) "I am only looking for a place that the foal and I may rest for the night," Jewel responded, not taking her eyes off the god. And what you've done with Peri...
Inti blinked for a moment. She seemed so ...tense. It was because of him, he knew it. Still, he made his best effort to sound friendly and unintimidating, and like any god could, he had the ability to hear the thoughts of mortals. "Ah...I knew it! You're Peri Winkle's friend right? Jewel was it?" His hispanic accent was rather charming. He continued, "Yes, I'm staying with him here in the castle. Would you like to see him? I'm sure he'd be more then happy to let you two stay with him." He glanced at the young orange foal and smiled warmly. The foal was special, and he could go far. Suddenly, Inti's entire body went cold and his muscles stiffend. Someone was nearby. This could onely be the feeling one gets when a dark immortal was close. Could it be Yama again? No, it had to be the other of the three. Eshu. Inti had not heard anything from Eshu in what seemed like centuries, and he wasn't planning to now. The yellow stallion realized now that he was staring off into space. His teeth were clenched and his body was so tense, it was shaking very subtlely. He shoke his head for a moment and snapped himself out of it. Think Inti, think...What would Brigid do? He knew he had to get them away from this place, and he needed to warn Peri Winkle of thier unadvited guest. (In whom he was not refering to neither Tswari nor Jewel.) "C'mon." He said trying weakly to cover up the seriousness in his voice. With that he turned his tail and walked back down the hall, praying the would follow before it was too late.

"Ah...I knew it! You're Peri Winkle's friend right? Jewel was it?"
Jewel subtly bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself from smiling or blushing at the reference. Clearing her throat, she replied, "Yes.. I'm Jewel."
Just then, she felt a presence more intimidating than that of Inti, who now appeared quite friendly. After all, he hadn't been the one to frighten her that night at the Inn.
In an effort to choose the lesser of two evils, so to speak, Jewel quietly followed Inti, "Come on, Tsuwari." If Inti, as a god, was set ill at ease, Jewel reasoned that she had greater things than him to worry about.

(ooc: Is suddenly confused with Tsuwari with Jewel. That's what I get for reading Peri posting stuff first. My apologizes, friends. I usually am much more tentative about rping ><. I'm really, really sorry to keep you all waiting. Well, if Eshu is here, maybe Brigid might drag her arse out of bed to see what’s happening.)
(Reactions and stuff from the point Inti made the time jump)
Peri Winkle followed Inti back inside his apartment space. It was a shame. The actor was truly looking forward to meeting someone he knew that he would be working with in the close future. It was very easy for him to compare this to how he worked in the studio. Quite frequently, he and fellow actors would spend time just to become greater friends outside the workspace. It made for putting together the scenes much more fun, and not to mention, very easy as well.
If Peri Winkle were to meet the mare that Inti seemed to have envisualize d that morning, well, Peri was certain that he could become great friends with her. Not in the way he hoped he would become great friends with Jewel, but pals nonetheless.
Slowly, his eyes darted to the remains of their breakfast, the dirty dishes. A lazy thread tugged at the other strings in his brain. The stallion truly disliked washing dishes. Rather unfortunately, it was one of those chores that seemed a necessary evil. Surly he could procrastinate on them another day? He still had yet to memorize the recent script handed to him. It was a nice sound reason, but... "Hey-"
"Uh...hold that thought..." He said raising a halting gesture to whatever Peri was about to say.
The white stallion looked curiously as the god exited his home. Perhaps their running about had not been so entirely fruitless as they had formerly perceived. Seeing it as a prime opportune moment to ignore the need for clean eating utensils, the actor made no hesitation in casually following the other at a slow and easy pace.
So slow, that it seemed he did not encounter Tsuwari, Jewel, and Inti until they had come halfway the distance towards his home. "Jewel!," it seemed a slight color sprung up in his cheeks has his green eyes met the golden peg's. Taken into the sudden surprise of the other's appearance, he had yet to notice the tenseness in Inti's face.
However, Peri certainly noticed the extra, pint-sized pony in his company. Slyly, his eyebrow rose in a questioning manor. Though he honestly doubted the relation between the two (he was a little unicorn, after all), Peri Winkle could not resist the urge to tease. "My, you sly girl. I suppose there's something you haven't been telling me?"

((Rosie! *hugs* What happened is that Tsuwari woke from another nightmare about the black pony beast, and followed Silverfall out into the woods. Glasye, unaware that the beast was a projection by Set, drew Tsuwari away from the scene by appearing as a glowing orange orb in an effort to spare Tsu from a traumatic situation. Tsu followed him all the way to the castle grounds, where Jewel dozed off. By then, it was late in the night, and Tsuwari's fretting woke Jewel... etc. PM me if you have any questions or anything "Hello, Peri.." Jewel responded, head slightly bowed but looking up with her eyes. She was, indeed, glad to see him. "My, you sly girl. I suppose there's something you haven't been telling me?""Peri!" Jewel smirked under her breath, then shouldered him playfully. "This is Rose Rebellion's son.. for some reason, he was wondering alone outside. I found him less than an hour ago." Her eyes showed a worry as far as Rose's wellbeing, but knew that especially given whatever Inti was worried about, they might all be safer where they were, together. She personally looked forward to the time she might get to spend with Peri. Tsuwari looked warily at Peri, unsure of all these new faces. He remembered Jewel as the peg who returned him once already to his mother at the Festival, but didn't remember Peri since he had been in costume. He inched closer to Jewel's hind legs, yawning and looking exhausted from his midnight trek. Jewel shifted her weight on her feet, a look of anxiety on her features. She didn't like being in the big, open corridor, and hoped they could all find a smaller space to stay soon. Trying to keep her head and be the brave mare she always aspired to be, she did her best not to transfer these emotions to the foal, or even let Peri know she could let her guard down.

Inti's expression softened when his mage arrived on the scene. Now the God felt a stronger sense of security should anything happen. "Hi Peri." He said with a smile flicking his ears.
He observed silently for a moment how Jewel and Peri acted towards one another. "Oh....I see what’s going on." He gestured with a grin, and motioned towards both of them. "You're both sweet on each other, aren't you?" Once again Inti and his big mouth’s reputation precedes himself.
He notice the foal was tired and Jewel still seemed tense. Could it be possible she sensed Eshu’s presence as well? Luckily Inti was at his match for Eshu seemed as bumbling as he was at times, but evil was evil and Inti wasn’t about to take any chances.
“So, we can all talk more once we get in the house. Right, Peri?” He said, giving his friend a nudged on the shoulder with his elbow. He wanted to hurry this along. “It’s late we really should go in, for the foal’s sake if anything.” With that he continued to the doorway and held the door for everyone.
When Peri Winkle passed him Inti whispered in his ear. “Lock the door. We need to talk.” Finally the yellow stallion followed the others inside. Hopefully Inti could get a word alone with Peri in the kitchen. He didn’t want to reveal the fact that he was a god to the mare and foal unless he absolutely had to. Brigid would kill him.

((I don't understand, Jewel, some guidance maybe? Please? *smiels hopefully* Please don't be angry that I'm so slow, I'm just a bit confused... )) Eshu watched with definate interest, was that...? No... Inti? Dang fool if he thought he would get in Eshu's way of taking this next mage,, if he even knew what Eshu wanted. He grinned, the mare seemed... good, what would convince her to join him? He pondered as he waited for an oportune moment. ((Just give me a cue and some instructions. )

(ooc: I think I got the jest of it Jewel. Oh, as a reminder, Peri still has his eye patch on from earlier in the day. I hope neither of the gods would mind Brigid popping up, eh?)
Peri looked back down at Tsuwari, before truly recognizing the characteristics once again. He had seemingly forgotten the foal's presence during the Festival Eve, as Willow and Jewel had captured his attention then. But now, seeing the tike, Peri was once again reminded at the odd joy of babies reaching such a grown stage so quickly.
You're both sweet on each other, aren't you?"
The actor maintained a face only to be described as sour. Perhaps, slightly out of embarrassment from the truth behind the statement, but more so in the way Inti had openly said it. Peri Winkle chuckled, a tiny ounce of it in sad irritation. "My friend, I will have to help you on your choice of vocabulary."
Giving Jewel a soft chuckle in almost apology for Inti's words, he then took to returning back to his room. Once given the message by Inti, he nodded solemnly. He knew just the thing to steal a minor moment alone.
"All right, who wants Root beer floats?," he called out almost instantly. It was the perfect summer treat, and certainly the foal wouldn't mind a pick me up being away from his mother. He did not wait for an answer from either guest, but headed towards his kitchen all the same. His hooves began to work in preparing the treat, but his mind was all ears.
--------------
Brigid stood breathlessly in front of the castle's entrance. Her walk seemed laborious, despite how speedy the healing was going, and her body longed for her to retire once again to bed. But the light goddess has sat down long enough. Ever the focused busybody, Brigid would fight her body's natural cries for sleep. She'd certainly done enough of that the past couple centuries.
The beige goddess c0cked her head, looking skeptically at the castle. Almost as if she were interrogating the building itself, rather than the individuals inside. Reconfirming to herself, Brigid sensed out Inti and Peri's presence yet again, as well as the others. Mentally she mused whether or not Inti had felt Eshu's presence, but quickly scolded herself. She knew Inti was at least capable of such a simple task, and she was half there forcing herself to apologize, after all. Still....it would not hurt to make sure he had a heads up.
Inti? Her thoughts trailed out in tendrils, reaching the mind of the Incan god. It is Brigid. She made sure her mind was calm and soft as she thought this, allowing the other god to sense that she was not there to rip his head off. I wish to have a word with you, I have wronged you and wish to... She physically winced as if the very thought of accepting her mistake had hurt. apologize.
She paused for a mere moment, giving the god just enough time to let the words sink in, but cutting him off before he could respond. I am coming in. Do not come to get me, I can find my way. Eshu is about, and you are better guarding the flock. Fear not, I will not engage battle with him. I have done enough fighting all ready.
(ooc: Erm...I know Eshu wants Jewel. How will this play out? Either or, I will try to keep Brigid from interfering with that too much. Then again, she's got a mind of her own, heh heh ^_^().)
