Brigid looked up, her green eyes meeting that of the purple stallion's. Gently she touched the edge of his conscious thoughts to be certain she was correct in his unasked questions.
What was there left to do? This world belonged to the mortals and their rainbow. There was no place for her or Inti besides that of being miniscule. It frightened her, the thought of falling back into the dreaded sleep, but perhaps it could be avoided. And what of her mages? What of Kimono?
"Do as you wish, nobleman.," she reflected on his polite tone prior, "You have fulfilled your duty."

Kimono bowed his head to the beige goddess, "I don't know what the future holds for the gods," He said tiredly, "but I'm still your mage, should you have a need for me. I.. I consider it my honor to fight for the Light side." The purple stallion took a few steps to the right, then turned to Brigid again.
"And if nothing else," He paused, "I do believe in you."
With nothing more than a last glance, Kimono began along the road back to Ponyville, and to whatever uncertainty the future held for him.

"So long, brave soldier." Inti said with a swish of his tail as Kimono walked away. It was a quote from a book or a play somewhere. (Inti had never seen a movie.)
"Inti...if our battle is done here for the day, I wish to speak with you alone."
"Sure." Inti said, walking past Brigid out of earshot of the others, figuring she'd follow. "What is it?"

Brigid surrendered her usually cold exterior and gave Kimono a small smile with her eyes. To hear someone state their beliefs meant music to the gods. It meant that they were further from falling back into slumber. As the stallion walked away, Brigid briefly went over in her mind how rewarding it was to see Kimono led back into the light.
The beige goddess' attention turned back to the other god. Wordlessly she followed behind him, mentally forming in her mind what she wished to speak of. Instead of stopping behind him, she walked in front to face him.
"Inti...this world has changed far too much for gods like us to fathom making hoof holds in it. Time has changed the world in our absence, our time has been over ages ago." she reflected on the sad truth, a truth no god wished to accept.
"The fact mortals live on during our absence proves we are not needed here. They have a 'rainbow' to protect them. Staying here will only by painful. So...I have decided to leave." She paused, looking directly into Inti's, trying to read an expression.
"Before you jump to conclusions, I have no intention of surrendering to that slumber again. There is a land...a land of gods to which I have come to know during my time here. That is where I will be heading."
"I am speaking of this to you, because your company would be...sorely missed," she struggled to stay the last in an offer for him to join her.

(ooc: Almost forgot to post this. Mind you, this happened a while ago when the battle was really heated.)
Muse ran through the square looking for a target, unfortunately it seemed that everyone was already paired up. She started to get agrivated. How was she supposed to help if there was no one she could fight on her own?
Suddenly she felt a prick in her hoof. It hurt so badly Serendipity couldn't help but blurt out an obscenity or two.
She lifted her leg to find an arrow bore into her hoof. She yanked it out but it was too late. The poison had already flowed into her leg and her blood stream.
She felt herself get dizzy. Dizzier than she had been when she had her drink earlier in the day.
He legs finally buckled and she crashed onto the already blood-stained grounds. At this point her vision was going dark, fading to black.
By now she knew she was dying. She had always imagined to leave this world with some final words of meaning, like in a drama, but all she could think of was...
"...God d*mnit." Then she was gone.

Inti listened to her attentively, ears c0cked slightly. When she finished his brow furrowed. He was a bit insulted.
“That’s not true. What about my tribe? Which reminds me, I have to go see them right away. I’m supposed to be their guardian, after all.”
"Before you jump to conclusions, I have no intention of surrendering to that slumber again. There is a land...a land of gods to which I have come to know during my time here. That is where I will be heading."
"I am speaking of this to you, because your company would be...sorely missed”
Inti blinked for a moment in confusion. Did that mean she actually wanted him around? He was almost certain it did, which made him smile.
“I appreciate it, Brigid, but I really should be getting home. I think I’ve been away long enough already, but I’ll be sure to visit you.”
He turned to Cane. “You were my first mage, and you stuck by me until the end. Thank you, my friend. May health and good fortune always come your way. Maybe we’ll meet again someday.”
He gave everyone an acknowledging glance, and with a dip of his head he trotted off, only stopping once and looking back with a smile.
******** Cane nodded to Inti. With a smile to Snowflake, he trotted off home. Snowflake followed a few lenths behind. Surely they were going to home to talk of all the goings on that had happened in the past fourty eight hours.

Brigid nodded in a calm manor, though his resolve worried her. Hadn't he listened to what she'd said? This world didn't believe in the gods anymore. Heading back to his people...if they were still living would be painful. Though, Brigid could not begin to guess what would meet Inti, she hoped that it wasn't what she knew in her heart would probably be true.
"Then take care, Inti. Perhaps fate will cross our paths again. Should you change your mind, I will be at the Inn."

(con't from nursery)
Silence made his way back to the battlegrounds on foot. His wings were so worn there was no possible way they would have been able to carry him.
He stubbled through the carcuses on the blood-stained grounds and cobblestone. Finally he came across a motionless orange body and ran towards it.
"Jol..." He whispered, feeling the tears he had previously hid returning, "...No...Dad..."
He leaned over and nuzzled the dead Stallion's nose with his face. His body was as cold as stone. Everything inside the unicorn had completely shut down. Glowing for a moment, Silence tried as hard as he could to bring him back, but it was useless. It was too late.
The colt clenched his teeth and stopped trying to fight the tears and the shivering pain of remorse. He nuzzled him again.
Betrayal, hatred, deception... None of that mattered to the pure white young pegasus rightnow. Jol was still his father. Perhaps not by blood, but there was still something there. Something the foal wished he could hold on to.
"Dad..." He whispered to the lifeless stallion. "Don't forget about me."
