The wind was an wicked fury as the night raged on. The Dark Rainbow had been destroyed--or, had it? Torn into 6 pieces, thundering to every end of the world, one of those colors had landed. The piece of rainbow was wispy, quivering like a dying animal, until a power began to stir from an infinite depth within it. The power grew and in a furious explosion, a body tore through it, ripping the color to shreds as it struggled to freedom. And yet, it wasn't a body--it was a skeleton, clear and new and bright as the moon, and as the moments seemed to swirl by in slow motion, flesh began to form. It's limbs were quickly wrapped in flesh, the tail sprouted hairs, and the skin that was as cold as ice grew a short, velvety coat that shimmered violet in the moonlight. The body, now formed, stood straight, and opened her nearly black eyes.
Life was all around her. She drew breath, and was amazed at the ease, and how *right* it was to breath. She held it, and it hurt, then she took another breath. Her eyes drifted around her and adjusted to the lack of light. It was comfortable and she she could see clearly in the pitch black. She felt everything tingle on her skin, the life around her enveloping her in its embrace. And she withdrew into her mind. Thoughts formed, and she inhaled sharply when she heard her own voice in her head. *Akasha...* She felt the power inside her mind boil and surge, reading everything around her. She felt the trees quiver and the rocks burrow. She felt their thoughts brushing lightly along her own, separate and definite, and this amazed her. Her mind reached out and coiled around an oak tree, and with a simple tug, the roots gave way and the tree screamed as it was hurled out of the ground.
And she was very pleased with her power...
