When Spring Fever and her father finally finished stringing up their holiday lights, they stepped back to view their work. "It looks beautiful Spring!" her dad said, clapping her on the shoulder. Spring smiled and didn't resent staying behind to decorate anymore, despite her previous emotions. Her father smiled and said, "Well, you'd better run along to High Tide's place." Spring nuzzled her dad and ran off to the Neighborhood.

Spring Fever trudged back up to her house with a look of disappointment on her face. She pushed open the door and moped around the house until it was time to go to bed. (gotta catch up!)

The next morning Spring woke up bright and early. She was determined to catch Tide while he was still at his apartment. She had a quick breakfast and started out the door when Zinny ran after her and said, "Can I come? Pleeeeeease?" Spring Fever frowned slightly. "Sorry Zinny. But I know you. You'll be bored and whining the first 5 minutes we're there!" Zinnia couldn't argue with this so she watched disappointedly as her sister trotted off to Tide's.

Tide and Spring arrived at the house, panting and out of breath. Spring dashed inside and managed to get out, "Sorry I'm late. Come on Zinnia let's go."

Spring's parents eyed her suspisciously. "Where have you been? It's not like you to be late," her mother said. "I'm sorry," repeated Spring Fever, "We were at the Cafe and I lost track of time. I ran all the way home if that makes you feel any better." Her father laughed. "You'd run all the way home even if you weren't late, with all that energy you've got," he commented. Zinnia came downstairs and they got ready to leave. Her parents went off to the store and the sisters went to Solsbury Hill with High Tide.
