When Willow caught site of the prairie a small tear ran down her cheek. She was thankful Jewel was going to spend some time with her because ever since Ice left, she was lonely. Ice's little deserted Kleepa stood vacant behind Willow's. When they all reached the front door Willow sighed a bit as she pushed open the door and saw her home sweet home. The makeshift cauldron table, the wooden stools, the buffalo fur beds, the shelves filled with various liquids, and of course; Georgie were all still there. Willow invited all of her guests in but was ashamed to not be able to make tea for them or offer them anything. She gave Georgie a small pat on the head and rubbed his belly before gradually sliding down onto the buffalo fur bed in the corner. From the bed, Willow threw logs into the river-clay fireplace and lit a match to them. There was a extra buffalo skin bed in the opposite corner for Ice which Jewel would now be taking the place of until his return.... If he returns. "Welcome....Please make yourselves at home. Jewel you can lie there dear until your headache goes away." Willow said pointing to the open bed. "Thanks ever so much you guys.. I didn't quite catch your names-"

The walk had seemed long and tiring to the concussed pegasus; she was glad to be told they had reached Willow's kleepa, and fought to stay up on her feet. A little more sensible, Jewel did her best to maintain her dignity, but her efforts mostly proved futile. Taking slow, carefully balanced steps, Jewel walked to where Willow had directed her, and nearly fell onto the buffalo skin. Her amulet hit the floor beside her with a muffled tink. She buried her face for a moment, trying to smother a sudden small wave of nausea. Successful, she raised her head slightly and looked up at the others. Trying to see them clearly, she blinked hard many times, but couldn't make the bluriness go away.
"Willow," She said very quietly, yet calmly, suddenly seized with a mild fear, "It's not just a headache," She paused, "I can't see." She blinked at the others again before resting her head on her hooves. Some warrior she felt like then.

" I figured it wasn't" Willow sighed then heaved her body up again. " Lucky for you I'm a master at Potion making." Willow pulled down a small bottle from a shelf. She set the bottle on the cauldron table and scrounged up a cup from her pile of kitchen supplies. She filled the cup with a fresh water from a kettle and dumped in 5 tablescarps (WTF? is S*P*O*O*N* a bad word? I'm lost...) of sugar into it. She then mixed in the potion which hissed and foamed a bit at first. Slowly Willow took the overflowing cup to Jewel. "Now I know you feel a little nauteous right now but I need you to drink this." Willow placed the frothing cup in Jewel's hooves and wrapped them around the cup. "It'll taste like a ginger ale float. Make sure you drink it all and keep it down .. thats the important part. Your sight and balance should come back eventually after that."

Coon waited while Jewel was given the drink. She kept herself occupied by looking about, you know, for something valuable . After the drink was administered, Coon answered Willow's earlier question. "The name's Coon Skin. Coon for short." She was hardly in the mood for over acting her masculine features at that given moment. Two injured ponies did not need a 'man' hitting on them.

"Well Coon.. Bonfire..." Willow politely bowed almost tipping over. "Welcome" Wilow smiled then walked slowly over to her potin shelf again to mix herself some pain-realiever and healing medicine. She pulled a dusty bottle off the top shelf and chugged the whole bottle straight up. Willow knew the potion had fermented up there for a while and would now be considered a healing vodka. Willow simmered down into her buffalo skin bed and looked across to Jewel on her right. "You feelin any better?" She asked. Georgie sensed Jewel's worry and ambled over to her side and brushed his soft fur on her leg in a friendly hello.

Not finding anything valuable to steal, Coon hid her frowning. She looked back to Bon, and then to the other two mares. "If you two are settled in, we could be on our way.," she said, not really asking, but meaning it as a question. I'm begining to feel to worn to head back into town. And it's not far from my tent...

Willow nodded, "Yeah I suppose you guys have lives to get back to. If theres anything I can ever do for you- well you know where I live." She winked and layed down fully vertical tilting her head in Jewel's direction. The alcohol was begining to give willow a warm buzz and she felt better already.

Stubbornly Coon remembered they were looking for Chief. "Hot Stuff, I don't want to leave you alone. Really I don't. But I suppose you'll be fine if you don't stay in Outer Edges.," she said almost with a pout," Promise you won't come back out to these woods."

"I'm a big girl, I can help myself. I didn't get here today by playing damsel in distress, Coon skin." Bonfire rolled her eyes.

Coon let loose a care free chuckle at that. "All right, I'll shove off then." You sure ain't no damsel in distress. I like women who can handle themselves. It just makes them more...ummm...what's the word? Harder to resist! She played her boyish grin on her face. "'night Hot Stuff, ladies." And Coon was slowly, and stiffly out the door.

((occ: Combined post with Jewel and Willow))
Jewel rested on the buffalo skin, not terribly wanting to move. Her headache was diminishing into fuzziness from the medicine Willow had given her. "..Things are getting a little clearer," She acknowleged tiredly, "Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine" Willow smiled at Georgie who was now snuggling closely to Jewel. "I think he likes you"
"What IS it with bushwoolies?" Jewel snorted, "I think they really are overpopulated..."
"Actually, thats Georgie, and most of the bushwoolies are dead around here now" Willow said matter-of-factly.
Jewel leaned her head down and nudged the soft fur of the rabbit, "Oh.. the one with the concussion..." She had no emotion on her face, or it was simply unreadable.
Georgie flipped his giant ears about wildly listening to the conversation and looking throughly confused. Willow was starting to get warm from the " meds" *hic*
In her tired state, Jewel began to ramble slightly as she laid her head down, "You know.. I've had so many broken promises.. but it never feels any different each time.. I haven't stayed in one place for more than a few months, it's like I'm always searching for something.."
Willow nodded solemnly " I hope you stay in ponyville Jewel. " Jewel didn't respond, only stared into space. The many colors of the fire opal amulet glittered softly in the light of Willow's kleepa, and the gold pegasus breathed quietly.
Georgie had now found jewel's amulet and was fully enthralled by the shiney.
"Be careful, little one," Jewel said quietly, "It has a tendency to zap you occaisionally," She warned, recalling the few times where her awareness was brought back just in time to avoid some terrible danger.
'ey Jewel? where did you get that amulet?" Willow inquired.
Georgie backed off wearily but kept his stare on the shiney.
Eyes half-closed, Jewel looked at the amulet and tapped it with the tip of her hoof, "It found me," She said curiously, "I really can't say that I found it."
"ohm" Willow breathed out, not totally understanding. " Is is magical?" Willow's words started to become slurred.
"I was walking in a forest far from here one day, and before I knew it, the chain was wrapped around my hoof, and it tripped me. Ahead of me.." She sighed softly, remembering, "A tree suddenly fell across the path. ...Magical?" The colors of the opal looked both beautiful and a little too overwhelming for a post-concussion pegasus, "I can't say. Or I just don't want to."
Willow nodded trying to make sense of the discription but the alcahol was over taking her brain waves. "yyyeeeeahh" Jewel sighed, her body giving in to sleep. Without another word, she gave a sigh and her eyelids fell, sending her spiraling into the world of dreams.
Georgie watched Jewel's body go limp with sleep. And Willow called him over to her side so he would not wake her. "Night Jewel!", Willow whispered as she blew out the candles next to the Buffalo fur beds. Georgie climbed into bed with Willow and snuggled up close to her for warmth. She gave the bunny a small nuzzle before losing total conciousness and falling into dreamland.

((OOC: compilation of Jewel and Lucky's))
Willow awoke to a loud scratching on her front door. "Uh? Georgie? wha-?" She asked rubbing her head. "Man, what'd I drink last night?"
Curled up in the corner on her buffalo skin, Jewel's sides expanded and contracted slowly, her eyes still covered by gold-colored eyelids. Layers of tan-shadowed feathers were folded back messily, and purple tipped sienna hued mane fell over much of her face.
Georgie was scrtaching dutyifully at the front door. It was obvious he wanted "out". Sighing; Willow lifted her groggy body to open the door for the rabbit.
One of Jewel's ears twitched at the sound, but aside from that, her form stayed peacefully sleeping.
It was raining outside and the soft droplets pitter patterd on her roof. Willow breathed deeply to take in that "fresh rain" smell. With the breath the gauze squeaked as it rubbed up against itself. And as the ribs widened the medical tape popped off. Willow looked down at her side to see the gauze starting to peel off. Wearily, she pulled off all the gauze to reveal clean, new skin beneath. Willow's mouth dropped. Her potion WORKED! not even a scar! She chuckled happily, trying not to wake Jewel from her peacefull slumber.
_________________Dream Sequence_______________
Jewel's breathing quickened as she began to very slowly come to consciousness. Her mind was still busily flooded with dreams... standing in an open field, feeling blades of grass brush against her hooves, Jewel's chest tightened as a cloud-like storm suddenly rose and billowed toward her. Her mane lashed like tiny whips across her face and neck as she struggled to stand against the fierce wind. Not turning to run, she was swept up in a dizzying vortex of something that wasn't quite air. It penetrated her body, filling her head to an enormous pressure, and making her sick to her stomach. Images and faces flew by.. Willow, the white evil stallion with her dagger in his chest, the ponies from the battle.... Roux. Rightside up was upside down, and she thought her head might explode from the pressure and the pain... Body having not had its fill of sleep, Jewel remained in her dream as a small trace of sweat formed on her temples. _____________________________________________ Willow perked her ears up as she heard Jewel's labored breathing. She saw her writhing in her sleep as small beads of sweat formed along her body. Willow was unsure whether to wake her or not.
The clawing sound returned to her front door as Georgie was notifying Willow that he was sick of the rain and wanted "in: now. Willow creaked open the door to allow the brown and white rabbit through. Georgie struted in soaking wet with a giant radish hanging from his mouth. He hopped over to Jewel's side and shook off all the water on his skin sending cold droplets onto Jewel's body. "Georgie! No! Shes sleeping!" Willow insisted in a whisper but Georgie knew more then to let Jewel sleep when she had a concussion. Georgie pushed his furry body against jewel's side trying his hardest to wake her up. "She doesnt want to see your radish Georgie! I'll show it to her when she wakes up." Willow assured him but the rabbit kept trying his best to wake the mare.
Jewel's nostrils flared as she breathed more laboriously than usual, and a small airy sound escaped her lips. It was apparent even now, the day after, that Willow's remedy had either worn off, or hadn't been enough to cure her of her injury. It would be a mystery how she managed to sleep.. whether her body was tired enough to ignore the pain for a few hours, or if she had slipped in and out of a very temporary comatose state during the night.
Worriedly, Willow noticed what Georgie was trying to do. " Radishes.. Thats right. They're supposed to clear concussions immidately! Georgie your a genius!"
Then she noticed Jewel. "Oh no, that can't be right.. she doesn't look so good"
Jewel opened her eyes very briefly, but they rolled back in her head as soon as she tried to see. She whinnied quietly.
"Jewel? Wake up! WAKE UP!" Willow neighed loudly. Georgie was determined to wake the tan peg up and get her to choke down the radish. He only knew how to vocalize one way: Screeching. Of course the last time he screeched was when he was taken from his mother by a hawk, and he wondered if he still had the ability. Backing away from jewel; he opened his small rabbit mouth and ommitted the loudest screech EVER. Willow stared wide eyed and covered her ears.
Sounds.. loud sounds.. but so far away.. Images blurred as Jewel's eyes shakily opened and closed. When she tried to see straight, the room tipped and spun. What was happening?
Willow collected the radish off the floor and started to boil water in the fire pit. Of course, not JUST a radish would cure the concussion it was the process of boiling it into water and mixing it with ginger and a single vinnilla bean. Willow hurriedly chopped the radish into small bits. "Jewel!?! Wake up! OH Rainbow PLEASE!"
Willow threw the radish chunks into the rolling water. A steam billowed out, leaving a cloud of smog hanging in the room. Georgie wearily stopped screeching for a breif moment as he jumped onto Jewel's body and began to squeak in short broken off huffs. Willow stirred the concoction, then strained the water off. She placed the swollen radish chunks onto a platter and poured esscence of ginger root on top of the radish. Lastly; she placed a whole vinnilla bean on top.
Jewel grimaced, feeling tiny claws digging into her skin. Wearily, she whispered through strained breaths, "...Willow?" The breathing slowed down as she was stirred from her unsettling dreams, but she was still in the same kind of pain.
"Jewel? Oh dear WAKE UP I'm here... right here. You need to wake up! you need to eat this!" Willow shoved a small sample of the food into Jewel's mouth. "Eat! Please jewel, you can't leave ponyville like you left every other place! No more broken promises! I swear! Jewel! OH Rainbow!"
Jewels eyes shot open as a strange substence was shoved into her mouth. For whatever reason, she resisted the urge to spit it out. Painful as it was to move her head, she managed to chew and swallow most of what had been given to her. She heard Willow's voice, though it was still far away.
"Oh good, she's eating! Thats right Jewel! Eat! Yum.." Willow fed the mare another spoonful of the warm food. "Wakey wakey Jewel! C'mon rise an' shine! I wont let you leave me! You have to come back! WAKE UP!" Willow continued to feed Jewel the mush. Georgie whipped his ears around wildly, having lost his voice totally.
Jewel groaned at both the unpleasant taste and the persistent mare's voice gradually getting nearer and louder.
"Its alright, I'm here...... Please..." Willow gave Jewel the last spoonfull with the vinnilla bean in it. "Thats right, eat up" Willow kept talking, so Jewel wouldn't fall back into a coma.
With reluctancy, the pegasus downed the last bit of remedy.
"Mmmmm.. All gone...." Willow stared worriedly at Jewel's body as if expecting the remedy to work immediately.
Minutes rolled by without much of a change in the winged one's appearance, but after a short while, the frown smoothed out on her face, and expressions of pain began to dissipate.
"Jewel? Hun? Are you ok?" Willow picked up a small blanket and wrapped it around the peg.
Slowly, Jewel raised her head and opened her eyes. After squinting and blinking a few times, things actually began to focus. The pressure in her head softened to the point where she could look around and sit up to a certain extent. She looked at Willow.
"He-hello." Willow stuttered at Jewel's fast recovery.

The groggy pegasus looked around, feeling as if she'd been born again, or something of the like. Flipping her ears back and forth, she realized something had changed...Willow healed her.
It had been hours since she was fully awake and aware of her surroundings. Looking around, Jewel suddenly remembered arriving the night before, and falling asleep. That was before the battle had started again.
Battle.. No, the battle was over. Wasn't it?
"I heard sounds.." The golden-tan pegasus spoke clearly, and in her own mind, to Willow. "While I was sleeping.. it was really loud..." She looked concerned, and glanced at the window. "The battle is over, isn't it?"
