Sparx trotted hurriedly as she approached the Outer Edges. "He has to be around here somewhere," she said with confidence. She started scanning in the distance with her eyes, hoping to spot the foal. If I were a foal, she thought, Where would I go? The Rainbow River came to mind, and around Ponyvilled. But he couldn't have gone that far, he wouldn't. Or so she thought.

Tink trotted up behind Sparx, "Ummm, this is not good." "No, generally this would not be good." "What do you mean generally?" "Well, what if he were a phsyco/" "Then we would be worrying for our lives." Tink pointed out.

Snowflake hurried behind the three ponies. She stopped to catch her breath. She looked up at the riseing moon. I'd better start looking. she thought. After all, what if he's in some kind of danger. She walked up two a few bushes. Pushing the branches aside, Snowflake peered in between the leeves to see if he was hiding there. Then-"OUCH." She had not realised this was a thorn bush. She plucked the thorns out of her hoofs with her teeth and continued searching. "Shade! Shade!" she called. No answer. Sf walked up to Mace, now with her front legs at a slight limp. "Do you know the exact place you saw him last?" She asked with a conserned look.

"Yes, if we can find the last place you saw him, and if you could point us in the direction he went, maybe we could follow to where we think he went. Or, maybe he left a trail further on," Sparx commented. It was beginning to get late, and she didn't want to have Shade out on his own during the night while they searched for him.

Mace pointed to a nearby field, "He ran off over by the Linden tree."

Snowflake took of to the field like a shot, but also minding her front hooves. "Shade?!" she called out again, this time it echoed throught the moonlit valley. She stopped in the middle of the field where her blue body was illuminated by the moon's large beam. She looked to the left, then to the right. Shade was nowhere in sight. A gust of wind blew, making her hair flow like a river in the chilly breeze.

Sparkleworks galloped after the Snowflake and Mace. She glanced anxiously at the quickly rising moon, then scanned the area. Apparently Shade wasn't here. "Should we start towards a new place?" Sparx asked, "You said he ran off this way didn't you Mace? So we just pick a direction and follow it." She put her muzzle to the ground but he had not left a scent trail strong enough. The dim light restrained her from looking for hoofprints, but she doubted there would be much to work with. The weak moonlight shone on her orange coat as she started off into the woods.

"Good idea, Sparx." Snowflake said. "We can split up in differnt directions and one of us is bound to find him." She started east, towards the moon. She galloped over the hills of the field until she disappeared.
Snowflake couldn't see her friends behind her anymore. They had vanished from eyesight. She shivered as the wind blew nearer. Her instincts told her a violent storm was coming. And for a moment she was scared as she stopped to catch her breath. She frowned and shook the thought out of her head, and continued scanning the fields.

"Right then," Sparx said as Snowflake disappeared. "I'll take West, but that leaves only one direction left." She was of course reffering to North. South would be reversing and going in the opposite direction of where Shade had ran off. "I suppose you two could go together," she grinned, and without another word, turned and galloped away.
Smiling as the wind ran like hands through her mane, Sparx slowed to a trot and strained her eyes to look for Shade. The night did not frighten her, but instead invited her out to come play. She stayed focused though on finding the little one. As of now that was her top priority. She paused to catch her breath and checked the many trees of the forest that she could see thinning ahead in the distance. Seeing nothing, she cantered toward the opening.

The wind combed through the grass on the hills as the shaken blades glowed with the moon's reflection. Snowflake's forelock kept getting in her eyes as she peered up at the sky. She saw clouds were starting to form. She tuked her head in, closing her eyes as she walked on. "Shade!" she called "Shade, were are you?! We've got to go, we've got to get out of here!" She called again but her voice was drowned by the whiping winds.
(ooc: so what do ya think, should we ahve them get in a storm to make things more interesting or should I quit it with the whole 'wind' thing. If there was a storm, they could possibly seek shelter in the neigborhood and bring them closer to shade. It's up to you guys.)

(OOC: I think it sounds like a good idea. But I'll wait til Tink agrees, then we can reach a final decision)
Sparx reached the opening. The moon shone from the east on the lush field. She spotted Solsbury Hill in the distance and wondered if he had gone in that direction. She decided that even if he hadn't, she would be able to see a fair amount into the distance. She galloped toward the hill on the cool grass and felt a chilling wind blast, pushing her mane back. She galloped faster to fight the frigid gust.

(OOC: Sounds good to me!)
Tink shifted her shoulder and took off her father's going away gift when she had left for Ponyville over a year ago. It was rather low-tech, but still useful, nothing beat a bow and a quiver full of arrows sometimes. Surprisingly, Tink could shoot rather accuratly. "Sparx! Wait up!"

(ooc: Okay! Hey, has anyone seen Cocoberry?) The wind blew harder, now ripping blades of grass out of the earth. The sky was dark and Sf could no longer see where she was going. Her hooves were still hurting from the thorns. The clouds had moved in on the moon, covering it completely. Snowflake had reached the top of a hill, now heading down it. Suddenly a gust of wind came from behind and sent her head first into the ground. Laying there, she thought what she should do. Maybe if I make some snow clouds, they will push away the other storm clouds. She thought and just then some lighter clouds moved in the sky. But this only made things worse. The wind sent the snowflakes swirling and clashing upon Sf's back. Snowflake was so worried now that a teardrop decended down her cheek. "Oh no...They're gonna be so mad at me." Snowflake said to herself, refering to the other poinies that were also caught in the storm. This is all my fault. She thought. The icy wind tugged at her mane and tail. She heived herself up, but her shoulder was now hurting. She forced herself onward though it was difficult to see or hear much of anything. It was almost as if there was a hurricane coming, but with snow also.

The blowing snow stung stella's face like needles and she sivered. Ignoring the pain in her hooves she forced herself up and decided to turn back. This was two dangerous for one pony to handle alone. As she neared where they had started, the storm seemed a bit more mild, but the snow was still very irritating. She stood on the top of a hill and pointed her head to the sky. Concentrating really hard, she managed to force the snowclouds away. Now only having strong wind to deal with Snowflake continued on. She now had a massive headache since it took alot of energy to controll snowclouds. "Sparx! Mace! Tink! Shade!" she called despritely, her voice almost drowned by the wind. "Where are you?" Snowflake was starting to feel hopeless. Her hair waved in the wind like a flag. She decided instead of walking down every hill, to save her energy by rolling down them. That way she'd have more enery to walk up the next one. She reached the top of a large hill and rolled down it, for a moment feeling happy because it reminded her of when she was young and those few times her mother let her go outside and play in the snow.
