((Time: an hour or so before the start of the massacre at the Square.))
The winds tugged at the drying leaves of the trees and the grass below playfully as they searched and searched until they stopped in one spot and circled the area. Within the circle of rapid moving air, a purple unicorn appeared, surrounded by the shimmering air elementals as they lowered him down on the grass. It had felt like it had been a while since he felt solid earth beneath his feet that the unicorn felt a bit unsteady. His silvery grey eyes remained closed until he felt the winds around him die down.
Silver Shadow opened his eyes, confused by his surroundings, like when one falls asleep in their comfortable familiar bed only to wake up in one strange and unknown. For a moment, he was startled by his surroundings as though they were strange and not what they should be, but slowly his memories restored. Although he couldn't see any of the others he was with before, he knew he was definitely still in Ponyville, deep within the forest nearby with the little river. However, for some strange reason it slightly ached his heart to know he had come back and that the winds had not taken him back to where his heart truly longed to go to, even though his memory of the place was small.
The lift from the winds brought back memories, sorrowful memories which brought in a wave of homesickness. He felt his heart beat become rapid as his mind filled with confusion and panic, the loneliness once again grew around him like a mist. He wanted to call out for help, to be comforted, but he found that no words came to him except the confused silence.
Yet the elemental creatures hiding came to him quickly and they longed to ease his pain and comfort him. However, their comfort was strange from what he barely remembered yet it was in a sense similar and it indeed comforted him; they were kin to him and knew him best. His favourite sylph huddled close to his face and Silver Shadow felt his body relax, though his mind was not at peace.
“Why did I go and leave home?” He said quietly to the elemental folk. “I did not mean for this to happen, I know not if it is good or bad. It feels like I have traded away my past and home for this future. I do not know if I want this... I want to go home now, but I do not remember the way...”
When no one, not even the elementals or the earth replied, he came up with a final conclusion... “I can’t go back can I?” He took the earth’s sorrowful silence as a yes. "Not until... not until whatever I was brought here to do has been completed... maybe there is something I am looking for, yet I don't know it. Something... that was not available to me back home but is available to me here..." He looked up at the sylphs who grinned and nodded their heads. "And once I find it... I can... go... home... where I belong..."
Suddenly he felt the gentle brush of feather tips on his cheek as though someone was teasing him for being so blind as to not realise it before. But although the presence was unseen, he had the distinct feeling that whoever it was, was smiling at him in a parental manner. His worries fell lose as the winds picked up again; he will remember; he will go home. Maybe not now, but one day. The very thought calmed the stallion's heart for his worries of his lack of memories eased. But another thought flooded his mind...
Silverfall... Wysteria... Delta... What happened to them? All he could remember was fire... the dark god and his threats... The uneasiness returned as concern clouded in as well as guilt for worrying selfishly about his past. He needed to help them, and quick like, but where were they?... Razzaroo was there; he would probably have an idea on what happened to them to where they are now.
"Earthly ones." Silver Shadow turned to the gnomes. "Where is Razz? The goofy purple pony?" The gnomes jumped up gleefully at being addressed, and pointed in the direction of... The stallion wasn't too sure. "Well then lead the way." With toothy grins the gnomes ran off into the forests, followed closely by the unicorn.
((hmm... Another silly long post ... but Wheee! He's back! *cuddles Silsha* hmm, he could have asked the elementals to go look for the three themselves though *continues to randomly babble to herself. XD: cont. Nursey))
