Feathered hooves touched the ground as a black alicorn landed amongst the trees. He looked around, before his eyes turned to the ground guiltily. He knew he shouldn't have ran away from the lavender mare but he had no other choice. Ken'aku didn't like to get close to others, because they always ended up betraying him in some way.
Ken kicked a rock across the ground. Why was he feeling sad now? Usually he blocked out his feelings with blunt rudeness, but now... Things seemed different. Reality had finally caught up with him.

(cont. from the river) The lavander mare finally caught up to Ken'aku. She looked up at him. "Why'd you run away like that?" She asked him, with a small frown.

As the lavender mare approached him, he looked away, scowling. She had followed him here; That was a mistake, because now Ken'aku was angry at himself, and whenever Ken got angry then everyone else around him would suffer.
"What is it that you want?" He said to her. "Why do you like me, I'm nothing! I don't deserve to be loved!" He said, pawing the ground angrily.

Dazzle could feel a tear roll down her cheek as Ken'aku spoke. She wiped the tear away. "The reason I like you is because you're a kind, sweet stallion. And don't say that about yourself! I think you're wonderful!" She replied, trying to cheer him up.

The black alicorn turned his back to the mare. "You don't know the real me." He said, his tail whipping the air and his teeth gritted. "I am none of those things. I am Ken'aku Karai, and I am darkness and I am evil."

The lavander mare blinked. She did remember hearing about him once before, how he was evil. But Dazzle Surprise didn't want to believe it. She wanted to believe that he was a sweet, kind stallion. She wondered if he was right, if he was evil.
The lavander mare could feel a few tears roll down her cheeks as she was confused about this. She stepped back, turned around, and trotted away. (cont. elsewhere)

The stallion reared into the air and slammed his feathered hooves to the ground. The mare was right to run away, Ken was not to be trusted. His eyes were dark, and his hair was flowing in the wind as he stood completely still and watched the mare dissapear...

Ken'aku suddenly felt full of energy. It had been a long time, but his evil side had come out to play once again. He narrowed his eyes and smiled, as his body began to change... Before long, a large black and white striped tiger stood where Ken had been moments before. It growled as it skulked off into the shadows.
