Sherbet's smile became softer in a decidedly un-Explosion-like move as Loo spoke. "Don't worry Loo, the only foals here who still have any parents are Harvest Moon and Glitterlilly. And sort of Sky, cause Razz is her real uncle. The rest of us are just like you. But we can be sisters!" She stopped herself from saying "and Kail can be your mom too" because Sherbet didn't really want to share Kail yet.

Tears rolled down Loo´s cheeks and she made a twitch. "...Thank you..."

The orange filly sighed and frowned as Loo started to cry - she hadn't meant to make the little filly sad. She tried to think of something she could do to make up for it, but nothing came to mind exactally. Rainbows! How did the little Explosion always cause havoc like this?
"Don't cry Loo. If you don't want to be sisters we can still be friends."

Honulu smiled through all painful memories that was comming back to her. "Of course I want to be your sister," she said. She dried her tears with a hoof, and her big blue eyes glittered like the sun when it appears during a summerrain.
[Yeah...guess they´re blue]

Razz stared intently at the fire, still turning logs as he listened to the foals. He knew all too well how it felt not having a mom or dad. At least now he had a sister, even if he didn't know where she was or if she had found their parents yet. He wished he could have gone with her, but then who would look after Sky? Or Sherbert? Or any of them? Or Kail?
Ah, yes. Kail. Razz felt warmed at the thought of her and it was far stronger than the warmth of any flame. Kail was his family now. Kail and the kids. He wasn't going to let anything get in the way of that. He would always be here for them. He would never let anything hurt them. Yet he knew he could not make such promises. Life was not all ribbons and roses. How could he protect them? If not that, then at least he would teach them to be brave. He would help them to stand for the goodness in all things. Isn't that what really mattered?
Inwardly, he was still struggling with Kail's apathy during the battle with the dark gods. He didn't understand how to walk away from such things. Or had he? He couldn't remember. The thought of it disappointed him. He should be better than that.
He wished that Silverfall were there. She'd have willingly knocked some sense into him.

Harvest Moon dug a little hole in the dirt with one hoof. "My parents are busy. Very busy. Doing research for the..." He scrunched up his nose, trying to remember. "The Fatum Isle Collig...Colle...C..."
"Collegium." Shadoweaver said softly.
"Colle-thing of..."
"The Fatum Isle Collegium of Increasing Knowlegde of the World," the adult flutter with dry amusement.
"Yeah, that," Harvest Moon said. "That's why I'm here a lot. They'e got other stuff to do in bad dangerous places."
Shadoweaver looked decidedly pained at hearing that. Her own mother was Dream Valley's Chief Diplomat, but she'd always had time for her wayward daughter. Shadow had spent a good many hours playing in Queen Sunrunner's office at her mothers feet while important kingdom matters were discussed right over her head. Poor Moon. To distract herself, she turned towards Meera. "I don't think I actually have eaten a burned marshmallow. I don't want to though. I have had other burned foods and I detest them all. It may take longer to roast marshmallows to a golden brown but oh...that sort of sugar rush is always worth the effort." She popped another that she had just finished in her mouth. "Mmmph. Oh yes. These are good."
"You wouldn't be too busy if you had kids?" Harvest Moon asked suddenly. "You wouldn't keep sending them away?"
Shadoweaver blinked. The foal had ruined her attempt to dodge the subject. "Um. No. I run an Inn. I don't think I'd have to send them away, doing that. They could be with me and stuff I guess...I'm not that busy...um. I'm a mage too, but that wouldn't affect things so much as long as we weren't all trying to save the world. Again." What on earth was the silly colt getting at?
"Do you WANT kids?" Harvest Moon sounded wistful. Goodness, wat on earth were his parents saying around him? He'd been wanted, hadn't he? If they'd told him the 'well you were an accident' thing, she'd have to go throttle them in person. She hated that.
"Well, yeah...just, you know, not something one does entirely on one's own." Shadoweaver blinked. "Haven't had the chance yet. I've got awhile though." She was only 22. Really. Only. Plenty of time.
"I wish you were my mommy," Harvest Moon sighed, looking without much interest at his marshmallow. Suddenly he perked up. "Why don't you be MEERA's mommy!"
Oh, by Tyr's mighty sword.
Knowing that it would probably be a bad thing for Meera for her to sit there in shocked silence for as long as she wanted to, the dark flutter mare gathered herself quickly. Just because she was a flutter and Meera was a flutter...and just because she was a mage and the litle filly did certianly have power...it just...no, wait, it did make sense, really. In the brief time she'd been around the filly--and around all the others with any talent--she'd gotten a sense of the 'tone' of their abilities. Harvest Moon was purely of the light, almost bright enough to make the shadow mage's mental 'eye' hurt. She sensed that Meera's powers, much like her own, could be easily...abused. In fact she got the eeries sense that if you looked closely enough, they might not be much different.
Well, hell's bells. If you want something done right...
"I think that's as much up to her as me, dearheart." Shadoweaver replied lightly. "Though we'd have to watch burning marshmallows in the house."

Mesmira sat while Harvest Moon and Shadoweaver talked about her, widened eyes focused on the ground. When it seemed that they were addressing her, she looked at the older flutter and said softly, "Well, if you were gonna choose, what would you say?" She paused a moment before softening her voice even more and saying, "I don't think you'd want to..."

Shadoweaver caught the last few words and snorted softly. "And why ever not, hmm?" She regarded the little flutter filly calmly, her blue eyes reflecting the fire's flickering light.
"Shadoweaver--" Harvest Moon started to open his mouth to blab aagin, but the mage had shifted her focus and didn't want to be interrupted. This was important.
"Silent." The magic in her word hit the colt so hard he shook his head and tried to protest. But couldn't say a word. Astonished, he just stared at her. Shadoweaver winked at him to soften any harshness he might have seen in her action before turning back to Meera with a faint smile.
"Tell me, dearheart." She sat next to Meera. "Why wouldn't I want to adopt you, hmm?"

Meera jumped up and looked Shadoweaver straight in the eyes and said, "It's just...noone else's wanted to, and...even at nurseries I can't stay long..."

Honoulu-Loo´s tears where almost dried. she went back to roasting marschmellows, and everything feeled a little better. She hardly listened to the conversation, but she thought about it. She would´nt like to get adopted - was it possible that a mare or stallion could do so against her will? She sighed quietly.

A rustle in the surrounding brush (once more) startled the already tense group huddled around the campfire. A muffled grunt and a tiny flash of what seemed to be black electricity revealed another baby pony. The surprised stranger tumbled clumsily from the opening, landing amongst the rest of the group. Blowing her off-white hair from her tannish face, she began to regain her posture. Sitting upright, the ammnesiac, unknowing of what to do in her current situation, introduced herself to the group. "Ummm, hi, i guess. I'm Raposa. I'm kinda new around here, I fell from the clouds. I bumped my head and lost every other memory I have. Or, had. So, yea!" Raposa said, her naturally hyper self beginning to recover from the fall. Everyone stared at the bouncing Raposa blankly, blinking slowly. (I hope you don't mind the interruption. I know you've had many already... )

The little orange filly had been sitting, ears back, feeling bad for Loo and for making her cry, when the sudden burst of black lightning came tumbling out of the woods. Now that was an explosion to be proud of! It looked like fun. Ears perking forward again as the newcomer spoke. "You're from the clouds?" Sherbet said in awe, "that's so much fun!" (Raposa, its a good entry post, but watch out for playing other people's characters: Everyone stared at the bouncing Raposa blankly, blinking slowly. )

Mesmira was momentarily jolted out of her quite state when the other little pony came stumbling into the clearing. After hearing that she was from the clouds, she stood up to move closer, a bit glad at the distraction from Shadoweaver's offer. "The clouds?" She moved over next to Raposa and looked more closely at her. Not another flutter, but... "Can you fly then?"

Can you fly then?
Of all the things that she'd thought up, Raposa had never thought of flying. She cocked her head in thought, staring blankly at Mesmira. Her eyes brightened. She had an idea, though unsure of wether or not it would work.
Maybe if...
She sprang from her spot in front of the fire and trotted a short distance from the group. A black ball of electricity materialized before her, sending wisps of dark shadow across the group. Squinting in her strain, she manipulated the ball into a disk-like figure and, hesitantly, stepped onto it. She shivered as tiny jolts of Black Magic were sent through her hooves and up her legs. Shaking it off, Raposa looked up...and up went the black disk.
Grinning gleefully, she looked down at the others.
"Maybe not quite flight," she yelled down,"but it works for me!!!"

Meera watched the other filly lift off on the...she wasn't quite sure what it was. Unfolding her own wings she buzzed them experimentally for a moment - it had been so long since she'd flown - and tucked her legs up against her stomach, allowing herself to lift up off the ground.
She flitted over, more hovering than soaring, in the way dragonflies tame the skies, and felt the thrill of the wind currents, mixed with her own efforts, lifting her skyward and over to Raposa. "How are you doing that?", she asked, eying the other pony as she flitted from one side of her to the other.
