"We'll have to hurry. We're on a tight schedule now ... The Rainbow of Light is under attack in Dream Valley. That's where we have to go. If we go quickly, we can bring it back here. It can help stop whatever it is you fear...We will make it in time. I know it. The rainbow will help us."
The pegasus's expression, though determination stirred in her heart, wasn't that of the most hopeful pony. She stared at the ground, not meeting Razz's eyes. Jewel felt as if some avalanche or tidal wave had started, and she had arrived too late to even try to stop it. She didn't want to bring down the stallion's optimism, but...
"Razz," She said softly, "I think it's already here," She paused, dipping again into the memory of her visions thus far, "And the near future, by the Rainbow, does not seem so bright..."
"What should we do now?" The pegasus asked after a few moments, raising her head with a slightly different, slightly confident demeanor. "You mentioned gathering the champions.. three of us are here. Where are the others? And then what?"
Jewel paced slightly, the reality of the moment, the present, finally setting in. She tried hard now to accept her fate and accept what the future might bring. She thought of Peri, and her heart went out to him. But at the same time, she couldn't.. her duty called her, and if she was to be half successful with being a girlfriend or a champion.. she knew she had to do her best for her feelings not to interfere.

"What should we do now? You mentioned gathering the champions.. three of us are here. Where are the other two? And then what?"
Peri Winkle released a snort, taking the place of clearing his throat, to gain the golden peg's attention.
"You get off your tushes, that's what you do.," the actor's voice seemed rough and cold, hollow even. He could feel a harsh tickling forming just above his tongue, every indicator that he could feel the emotions of being forced from Jewel's immediate presence.
"You three are champions, and I know you can feel each other as such.," he recalled the reactions Jewel displayed when Roux approached them. "Other than Kail I don't know any others. I don't think I'll be much help with this 'search'."
He paused to make sure Jewel let that sink in. No matter how much the two wanted, Peri Winkle couldn't make the track with them, with her. The stallion's place was here. Most likely he would become sick, but if it was a high probability, than there wasn't anything he could do about it. At least, maybe he could do something here to fill the void Jewel normally would. For a moment, his mind traced back to Breezie and his concern for the young adolecent.
"Razz is right, go to where the action is. Perhaps being near the Rainbow will be enough to guide you further.," he mused, the harsh edge to his voice ebbed. "That's my two cents."

"OK, then, time to go," he said, while flicking his ears between Jewel and Peri. He stomped his hoof. If it was true and the sickness was here, then all the more reason to hurry. He paced twice in front of them, thinking. "We'll go into town and find the other champions. I will call them."
I will call them and we will go, he added.

"OK, then, time to go,"
"Wha--time to go?" Jewel wasn't completely surprised to hear the stallion say this, but at the same time, she didn't exactly feel prepared.
"We'll go into town and find the other champions. I will call them."
"But--" Before the pegasus could even continue her sentence, Razz had left for Ponyville.
Any questions she had had were answered by the inevitible fate that she understood lay before her. Without a word, Jewel took a leather bag and filled it with a few possessions she might need. Her hooves trembled slightly with anticipation as she quickly packed.
It was then that she turned to the white stallion, heartache behind her eyes but not on her golden face. Stepping next to him, she said softly, "Come with me," and walked out of the small house, without looking back.
((don't know what Roux's doing, but we'll assume he's following Razz....??))
