Rootbeer Float's Brothel..I mean Apartment!

Rootie sat on her sofa, sipping from a mug of cocoa, reading a cooking magazine, and listening to soft relaxing music. She sighed, and looked around the place. So what if it wasn't her old home? And so what if she had to pay rent. One day she'd get enough money, and start another business back up, and would have permanant residence.

She blew on the cocoa, and took another sip.

"Where are we, Arianna?" Rootbeer Float asked as she stood in a field full of wild flowers. The sky was beautiful, giant fluffly clouds sprawled out. With birds chirping, and playing.

"Duh, Rootie! We're in Heaven!" Arianna said giggling. Arianna's hair was not her normal shade of black here, but a magnificent, pure white.

Irish Creme was heard off in the distance, foals, and fillies sitting around her. "And the beautiful princess's wish was granted!" Irish Creme said. The little ponies erupted with laughter, and shouts of joy. This place was perfect, and infact, they were in Heaven. Rootie smiled, and rested her head on a bed of flowers, and dozed off.

Rootie dropped the cup, it hit the wood floor, and shattered. Cocoa spilled everywhere on the floor. Rootie tried to hold onto the memory she had of the Heavenly place, but it soon faded, because it was just not yet the time for her to remember.

She went into the kitchen and retrieved a warm rag, and began to soak up the cocoa, and collect the pieces of the cup.

"Soon, Rootbeer Float, soon enough, Purity will reign over this land. Soon enough." Said a gently, reassuring voice.

Rootie looked up from the puddle of cocoa. "Huh?" She said, not even hearing what the voice had said. "I'm going crazy, I swear."

It had been hours since the bus had parked, allowing four young men to run rampant in an unknown city. And it had taken hours for the four young men to figure out where the hell everyone had gone. But they were finally back together, and actually happy to be in one another's company.

Brinker knocked on the door to the apartment. His twin brother was by his side and the two looked rather content. In fact.. everyone in the group, save for Capler, looked at ease. The stallion had already filled the group in on the night's happenings, so all questions had been dropped. Good thing, too. He really didn't want to talk about it.

Looking to the stallion at his side, Landon raised a single brow. "You can't stay down about this all night." He tilted his head. "Sh1t happens. It could have been worse.."

A small smile broke in the corner of Capler's mouth. "Thanks for the pep talk, D."

Landon was about to say something, when Brinker cut him off. "Hey, I think I hear her coming!!"

Automatically, the group turned to look at the door. They wanted to see what poor fool had agreed to let them stay.

Rootie finished applying her over night cream just as soon as she heard a knock on the door. She wiped her hooves off, and went to the door. "Must be Brinker." She thought to herself. She opened the door, and there had been four of the cutest stallions she had ever seen, and there she stood, with green goop on her face, and her hair tightly in hot pink curlers.

She blinked, and waved slowly, as to not scare them. "Hi..Brinker..Sorry for my apperance!" She said with a smile. She looked at them again. "Oh, I'm sorry, come in, come in!" She looked around her apartment. "Make yourself at ho.." She looked at the four. Scratch that. "Make yourself at ease!" She said with a rushed giggle. She looked at the four individually.

"My name's Rootbeer Float, but everyone calls me Rootie." She smiled, and looked at Capler. "And what's your name?"

All four stallions were caught off guard by Rootie's appearance. The grooming habits of mares had always gone right over their heads. Why would anyone want to put that... stuff... on their face?

Grinning, they entered the apartment. Brinker spoke first, as usual. "That's... that's sexy." Motioning to the green goop, he wiggled his eyebrows.

Capler shook his head with a chuckle. Good times were going to be formed. "Capler Stevens." A bright smile was flashed at the earth toned mare.

Josuha and Landon merely exchanged glances. Earning themselves a few hits from Brinker and Capler.

Rootie rolled her eyes, and then gently smiled at Capler, and gave a wink to Brinker.

She just stared at the other two. She squinted one eye, and raised the other. She looked from side to side. Left to right. "Annnnnyways.."

Rootie pointed to her head. "I understand I look ridiculous, but the mask is used for tightening my pores, and preventing acne, and the curlers are so that my curls stay natural, and hold through out the day.." She looked at them all. They obviosley didn't care. Why was she even talking to them about this stuff?

"Are any of you hungry?"

Landon and Josuha looked at Rootie. It was obvious she was on to their little glances. "Whaaattt?" The chuckled question was said in unison.

Beauty tips were being relayed to them and all they could do was stare at the mare. [kind of like this: o___o]

At the mere mentioning of food, the entire group seemed to perk up.

"Fooood!!" Brinker's darkly lined eyes sparkled.

"You know that you'll never be able to shake him after you feed him, right?" Josuha smiled. "He's like a little puppy."

As Capler and Landon laughed, an indignant expressed washed over the white stallion's face. "I am not!" Brinker looked at his brother. "Besides, we're identical.. So if I'm a puppy, then you are too!"

A pierced tongue was stuck out at Josuha. "Hey." He looked his brother in the eye. "Like I said before... Don't stick it out unless you plan to use it!"

As the twins continued to yap back and forth, Landon smiled at Rootie. "I apologize for my colleague's obnoxious ways. Just slip some sleeping pills into their chocolate milk, and the problem will be solved." A bright blue eye winked at the mare.

Rootie gawked at them. Guys were so, so, wierd. She thought. She gently smiled as they talked on and off, and then caught Landon talking to her, she turned her full attention onto him. He was cute. They were all cute, actually. She smiled, and then giggled. "Sleeping pills, right, got it!" She said while clapping her hooves together.

She turned her direction back to the others. "So, what do you all want?" She said while walking into the kitchen. She sorted in her cabinets, and looked in her fridge. "I could make you something.." She said while sticking her head farther into the fridge. She popped her head out. "Or, you can lick the goob off my face!"

Landon grinned at Rootie's response. It was good to see that none of them had scared her off. Then again... she had warmed up to Brinker, which meant not much could scare her.

All talking stopped when the topic of food arose. They exchanged thoughtful glances when asked what they wanted.

"I'm up for some goop." Landon turned to Capler. "How about you.?"

Capler grinned and nodded. "Oh, I'm always up for some goop." He hit the twins. "What about you two?"

The twins looked at one another. "Can it be served with chips?" It was incredible.. it was as if the two shared a brain. Then again, they practically did to an extent.

The group laughed and turned back to Rootie. "Anything's fine." Landon smiled. Usually he was shy when first meeting other ponies, but tonight... he was as comfortable as ever. Maybe it was the mask of goop...

Rootie smiled, and turned to the sink to wash the goop off of her face. Rinse, rinse, as the creme gently washed away, spinnng down the drain. Rootie reached for the hand towel above the sink, and gently patted her face dry. Her face felt cool, and refreshed.

Rootie turned around, smelled the sweet dasies on her counter top. She turned to Capler. "Daisies are so sweet, don't you think, Capler?" She said with a smile. She began to take the rollers out of her hair as she took out bags of chips, and cookies from her cabinets. One by one she set the rollers down, until she had pulled out the last one. She shook her head, her soft, baby doll curls bounced, and she glanced towards the guys.

She went into the fridge, and pulled out dip, and sodas, and some half eaten choclate cake. Retreiving glasses from another cabinet she carried all the junk out into the living room, and set it all on the coffee table. She perked up, looking at all the guys. Rootie was very, attractive without the goob, and curlers in her hair. She smiled, as she looked around. "Anything else?"

As the goop and curlers were taken away, Landon slowly began crawling back into his shell. d**n, he hated being shy around the opposite sex. If only she had kept the goop on. Capler and Josuha had to agree with the other two. Rootie was attractive.

"Daisies are so sweet, don't you think, Capler?" The pale stallion's heart sunk and flipped. He managed to keep the feeling from reaching his face. "They're not bad." The smile on his lips looked natural, but felt forced.

Trying to keep his friend from having a heart attack, Landon began directing the drummer into the living room. The twins followed and sat around the coffee table.

Looking up at their hostess, the band smiled. "You know the way to a guy's heart." Brinker grinned. "Junk food, all the way."

Rootie giggled at them all. They were so cute, and in a way, dorky. Rootie walked over to her stereo, and turned her gentle music off. "I guess you guys aren't really used to that kind of music, are you?" She said with a chuckle. She walked back over to the boys. "Silly." She thought to herself. "So, why don't you all tell me a little bit about your band?" She said while sitting down next to Landon. She looked at him, and smiled. "What do you play?"

She had them pinned perfectly. They were a bunch of fun loving dorks, and had no problem showing off their dorky ways.

"Actually, Landon boy here took piano lessons for seven years!" Brinker grinned around his can of soda.

At the moment of Brinker's comment, Landon had been about to take a bite of a cookie. His light gray coat immediately turned red. Setting down the cookie, he let out a nervous chuckle.

The group laughed. They got a perverse pleasure out of embarrassing the guitarist. And they did it every chance they got.

Blue eyes trailed up to Rootie. "Uh..." He began blushing even more. "Guitar..." The response was mumbled as he returned his gaze to the table.

Rootie giggled with them, and then looked at Landon, he seemed un-easy. He obviosley wasn't used to being around mares. She leaned in closer to him, and smiled.

"Wow, the guitar, huh?" She said with another wide smile. "So, are you the leader of this band?" She raised up.

"And even if you're not, I bet you're the best member anyways, right?" She said with a soft giggle. "I bet all the groupies chase after you!" She glanced to Capler, she kinda glared, and then she looked back at Landon, and smiled.

Landon's eyes went wide. He slowly turned to look at Rootie. "No... Josuha is..." Mares were intimidating to him.. maybe that's why he went for the stallions...?

Capler's heart stopped when Rootie looked at him. News traveled fast around this town.

Brinker knew Capler was uncomfortable, so he drew all of the attention back to Landon and himself. "He's gay." There was a childish grin on his face.

"Oh my god..." Landon almost died right then and there. He had never blushed this hard before.

[Jon]

Rootie giggled and softly patted Landon on the back. "It's fine, everyone's different, no need to be embarrased.." She smiled. "Most male bands are made up entirely of gay stallions!"

She looked at Capler, and then put her head down. "I'm sorry Capler, just, something keeps drawing me towards you..Did something happen to you tonight?" She said while raising her head back up to look at Capler.
