Sighing, Blaine's white body fell onto black blankets. Tristan's bed was still made, and everything in his room was left undisturbed from the night before.
Rolling onto his stomach, he hugged a pillow tightly. He still couldn't, and wouldn't, believe that his best friend was laying motionless in some cold hospital bed. The image of Tristan was permanently engrafted into his mind.
Not being able to take it anymore, Blaine buried his face into the pillow. He didn't want to think about it. It would only eat away at his heart even more.
"Hey, babe. Why're you running so late? Gill's likely to kill you for something like this." There was a smirk on the stallion's lips as he watched the black unicorn slip behind the bar counter. It was two hours past the starting time of Tristan's shift, and Blaine had been doing his best to cover his friend's ass.
"There's just a lot going on right now." The response was sighed as Tristan began serving the crowd their drinks.
"Oh?" Blaine wasn't really paying all that much attention at this point. The clubbers were yelling order after order over the music.
"Yeah. I'm dating a guy." Bi-colored eyes traveled the distance of the counter, landing on the white stallion. He was obviously not paying attention, but it didn't bother him.
Chuckling softly, Tristan shook his head and returned to bar tending. He'd fill Blaine in later.
Blaine's head shot up. The memory of his last night spent with the dark stallion was still fresh in his mind. He should have paid closer attention to what Tristan was saying. He didn't know if he'd ever be able to talk to the unicorn again. And it scared him to death...
