Breezie wheeled her scooter to a stop, grateful that only a few hunks of important-looking mechanics had fallen off along the way. No problem - they were probably just for show anyway.
She turned to Nova. "Okay - now we can see what this thing can - " She almost said "really do", but considered the current condition off the vehicle. " - still do..."

((If I crash her again, Becka will sue me for copying myself one too many times.  But don't worry - Breezie's daredevil days are far from over!  )) Breezie handed Lightning to Nova and hopped aboard her scooter, shrugging off the fact that there was no helmet available. ((On a side note: always wear helmets when using any sort of vehicle or sprting equipment, kids! ;D )) "Okay..." She started it off slowly, then faster, then faster still, until it was buzzing(noisily) along top-speed on the banks of the river. The river...of course...Breezie spun around and drove back to Nova, then screeched to a halt and leapt off the scooter. ((Dare I have her say "brain blast"?  )) She stuck her broken foreleg into the air and cried, "I've got the best idea!" She gestured dramatically at her scooter next to her before turning to the river and back to Nova and declaring, "This puppy's meant for water travel!" |

Nova cuddled lightning happily, ignoring the pizza sauce now smearing onto her coat.
"This puppy's meant for water travel!"
Nova blinked. "Water travel? What do you mean?"

"It'll just zoom over the currents!" Breezie moved a hoof through the air for emphasis. Then she climbed aboard the scooter and fired it up. "Watch and see - this'll be great!" ((If anyone out there doesn't want to see Breezie die a violent, gruesome death I suggest they intervene now...if they can. )) |

((*plays funeral march*  )) "And I'm positive it'll work, too! See, when I got it it said the wheels did not double as flotation devices - and why on earth would they be telling us that if ponies weren't going to take the scooters on water? It's so simple, I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner!" Breezie drove forward, top-speed, towards the water. "Here I goooo!" For a few miraculous moments the scooter skimmed the surface of the water, before it plunged underneath, taking Breezie with it. The scooter now lay at the bottom and Breezie found herself in a place without air - and that wasn't good. She dog-paddled to the top, and upon surfacing didn't give another thought to her ruined vehicle. "Okay...that didn't work...hey - let's just go swimming instead!" ((  Ha ha. Did I scare you? No, I'm not killing Breezie off - I like her too much. )) |

((*Dries eyes* Sniff..... thank goodness! Wait- wicked! THAAAAANK GOODNESS!!))
"Okay!" Nova splashed into the water, astounded by it's strange feeling. It was cold and strange and... sorta nice. Nova was making new discoveries all the time, and she was filled with wonder.
Nova lit up with what she thought as an origonal idea, splashing Breezie with water.

"Hey!" Breezie dunked under the surface to escape from Nova's splashing, then resurfaced and went into a back float. "Shoo be doo, shoo shoo be doo...", she sang softly as she drifted lazily downstream.

Nova watched Breezie, then tried to mimic her backfloat, but sank, surprised, underwater. She came up spluttering and coughing.

Cause some ponies say we all evolved from the fishies and stuff...I think...maybe that was a sci-fi book..." She tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment, before saying, "Oh well - it's what's probably true anyway!" |

Nova put her head underwater, but soon came up choking.
