Mainsail saw the stallion wasn't exactly paying attention to her. She looked at him. "Um, hello? Why are you ignoring me?" She said to him.
Baby Sea Spray looked over at Tsuwari. "So, what do ya want to do? Should we play a game with the other baby ponies? Or do you just want to hang out with me? Anything is fine with me."

((Nope, I think she was talking to Yama. In an earler post she said something like 'Mainsail said 'something something' to the newcomer' or whatever. That's Yama.))
The Stallion heard Mainsail's protest. He closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them again. Nobody messed with the God of Death and Darkness.
Yama, unseen beneath his hood, turned to face the mare. Why yes, I was ignoring you as a matter of fact. He growled in his head as he put the thoughts into Mainsail's mind. And if you don't mind, I'll keep doing so. Or maybe I should punish you for being so d**n pushy..." He slowly took a step towards her with every word.
Never interrupt me. The fact that you even approach me in greeting is despicable. I do not speak with ordinary ponies such as yourself. If you dare speak to me with such cheek again... He peered down at Baby Seaspray. Then who knows what could happen to that young child of yours...
Yama, apparantly pleased with his threat, turned back to the fellow gods and goddess.
Gumdrop was watching when he did this. She ran over to Baby Sea Spray bravely and clung to her foreleg, shaking. Purple would have followed but she was rather preoccupied with Bella's puppy.

((wahhh! I missed a bit too much for my liking )) The unicorn couldn't see anything wrong with Lian, besides the fact he looked a bit odd, and there was this other strange thing about him... She didn't understand why Wysteria was being so fearful. Maybe it was the antlers... Personally, she thought they looked great on him. There was nothing wrong with looking a bit wierd every now and then... Moony smiled at Charm. "I am doing great." She said in reply to the little pegasus's question. "Yeah it is a bit hot, but I'll be right." She looked out and saw Dreamer, flashing him a one of her happy smiles. Dreamer smiled back. It felt good to see the two talk together. But what felt bad was all these gods in the area. Yes, he could tell they were gods. He could faintly sense them bicker over particular ponies; he couldn't hear what they were saying, but just knowing that they were there made him extremely uncomfortable. Not only that, the strange grey one was near Moony and Charm, and he did not like it how he was talking to Moony and Wysteria. He overheard what Kail had said, agreeing immediately. "I agree with you." He said to her. "I'll go get Charm." He got up and walked over to the group he had been eying for sometime. "Hi Dreamer." Moony said when he had approached them. "Hey." the alicorn said in reply. He looked at Lian for a moment; he didn't know why, but he did not trust this other. He felt as though the Shadow god might take something of his away. He continued over to Charm. "Got your popsicle Charm? We're going with Kail, Razz and the others. Moon Crystal, I would like you to come with us also and, Wysteria, you may come with us if you like. Unless you would rather go else where." Dreamer chose not to say anything to Lian, but rather ignore him. "Oh? but why?" Moony asked surprised. "I mean, Wysteria just got here and yeah. I don't see what's wrong." She glanced at the purple mare; she looked worried. "Ok I take it back. But I don't see what's going on." "Moon Crystal, just hold on the questions. I'll explain later." She could hear the urgency in his voice; something really bothered him and the unicorn did not want to get in his way. She looked at Wysteria. "Well, do you wanna come Wysteria?" She asked the purple mare. ((lol. Dreamer is very anti-god at the moment. It will change...)) *~~*~~*~~* "Umm... Well I don't do very much. I like to go on walks and such..." Ocasta couldn't find anything to say about himself, and anyway, the arguement going on between the gods down at the beach kept catching his attention, making him lose focus. Lian seemed to be alright down there. If anything else was to go wrong, well, then Ocasta would be down there to see what he could help out. "Yes, a sunset over an ocean is splendid..." He said, glancing back at the groups.

At Yama's arrival, Harvest Moon had fallen silent. He stood stock still with only a trembling in his wings and the quick panting of his breath to give away that he was a living thing.
Gods. He'd heard his mother talk of them quietly--quietly, because da didn't believe in them. Brigid felt...bright to his immature magical senses. He trusted bright things, and bright things told the truth. So...these must really be gods...and if they were gods, then they were powerful. So ma said. _That_ one, the new one, also felt like a god, but he was a big dark splotch. Not grey like a couple of the others, but dark and writhing and...and...
He never did greet the new light god--no, the only noise that came from his throat was a terrified squeak before he suddenly bolted towards Kail, colliding with her legs and falling into a sobbing heap.
"Nasty, nasty thing here. It's gonna eat us! Take us home!"
Tyr stopped just short of the beach, observing the tableu below. He'd come here because....well....everyone else was here, or just about.
Aedeminar walked quietly beside him, her black eyes feverishly bright. When she spied the hysterical flutter foal she frowned. "Now who's presence here is terrorizing sensitive babies? We don't want to scar future mages for life..." She spotted Yama. "Oh."
Tyr's skin twitched as if a fly had landed on him. He made his way to Brigid's side, giving her a nod of recognition while eyeing the rest. He would play as if he had the upper hand here--with the children still about, this was a potentially viotile situation that needed to be diffused. He doubted Lian would do it.
Aedeminar stood next to Tyr's left flank, her traditional place of honor. She snorted softly. _She_ remembered these gods in their glory days, and eyed Yama with special care.
(OOC: Hmmm....this might acutally be a good time for the gods to have a little clash...since some of them ARE gathering followers now...a hint of wha is to come? hehe.)

(ooc: *chants* Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight* lol) Brigid gave Tyr a respectable, acknowledging nod. She may not like the fact Tyr was technically the referee with anything involving all of them together, but she enjoyed his smiting even less. If anything, Brigid would at least attempt to avoid getting out of line in his presence. Her eyes darted to Inti. I am going to warn you, she thought only towards the bright stallion, Tyr here will not stand for anyone going over him, or his say. Do yourself a tremendous favor and obey him if he should as have a decision over anything. Her eyes watched as Moon Crystal, as well as the others were making haste to leave. In a way, she was a little relieved that the mortals were clearing out. She knew Moon Crystal and a few others had good hearts, and were prime light mage material. It would be terrible if they were to get hurt in a struggle against the gods. Since Tyr's here, I highly doubt the fact that any of the possible mages will be sent in my direction by him, I do have three so far. The others may have more or less. But chances are they have less. Naturally Tyr will place mages in their direction first. Which means Moon Crystal and her friend seem out of my league... D*mn. she kept her thoughts to herself, all the while looking at the gods and potential mages as if she were playing a poker game. Again, she directed her thoughts towards Inti. At this moment, Brigid was becoming more concerned for the mages futures than her own authority over them. Look, as things are going, none of the ponies here would be capable of becoming mine. However, I would prefer Moon Crystal- She displayed the image of her mentally in her mind. And her friend, the purple mare should belong to light gods. Calliope's scared her witless, and your bungling; almost mortal attitude would suit them well and keep them at ease. If it comes down to it, you should fight for them.---- Wysteria's head turned to Moony. The unicorn has taken but a few steps from her, but Wysteria felt that it seemed miles. The mare could not describe the anxiety, the very feelings of how alone she felt at that moment. Her mouth moved, but Wysteria could not mentally recall speaking any words back, though she was certain she had to. She would stay there and watch, as if she were glued to the spot. (ooc: got to make this interesting for her. I'm sure eventually she'll run off and Yama can strike )

Set has left Rose on the beach to run his "errands," but now stood once more on the hill overlooking the beach, hidden in the shadows of the tall trees. He watched the gods as his stomach churned his anger. He may have resented each god for different reasons, but there was one reason that unified his hate: power. The more they had, the more he craved to take it for himself.
He detested the light gods, but it was easy to do. Their ways were alien, even at times ridiculous. Those who dwelled in shadow were just as easy for him to dismiss. How can one take pride in power when one chooses not to use it? And when Yama made his appearance on the beach? Set felt a hissing in his own spirit and made a hasty retreat.
Now he stood over them. Having regained his composure, he took full measure of the scene. His own powers were still muted, so he gave a silent call to the one with whom he was bound. Drawn from this power, a subtle darkness swept the clouds and the wind picked up.
-----------------
Razzaroo looked up, removing his big sunglasses from his nose. The clouds were shifting and the sky had just slightly darker. "I think you're right, Kail," he said. "Looks like rain. Should we head back to the nursery? Or maybe the cafe?" He began packing up the towels. Then he wrestled the wind for the big umbrella as he tried to get it closed. He had no idea what was truly going on, but that was completely typical.
"Sky Feathers! Come on!" He called out. "Time to go!"

I am going to warn you, she thought only towards the bright stallion, Tyr here will not stand for anyone going over him, or his say. Do yourself a tremendous favor and obey him if he should as have a decision over anything Inti nodded at Brigid silently. From the tone in her thoughts he felt like he was being punished, which he very well should be! He felt very guilty about what he had done earlier. He wished he had not been so careless and clumsey with his words.
It seemed like all the Gods were starting to gather here. Inti knew that shadow plus light, plus dark equalled disaster all to well. There were children nearby, and it made the yellow stallion nearvous. He could see some of them were already getting frightened.
D*mn.
Again Inti noded in silence, listening carefully to every word. She already had three mages? All at once the remander of Inti's pride from Candy Cane vanished. He was very behind. He need to get of of here soon and find more mages.
Look, as things are going, none of the ponies here would be capable of becoming mine. However, I would prefer Moon Crystal- And her friend, the purple mare should belong to light gods. Calliope's scared her witless, and your bungling; almost mortal attitude would suit them well and keep them at ease. If it comes down to it, you should fight for them.
Inti thought about it for a moment. He didn't act that mortal, did he? He had never noticed it before. As he compared himself to the others he finally realized he had been acting like a fool. He need to change himslef. He wanted to be as respected as any of the others. But how? He needed to change his entire image. He needed to be much more serious and more careful. He needed to change how he talked and acted.
However, his almost mortal attitude did help him get along with mortal ponies better than some. His personality could either be used to his advantage, or it could be a big flaw. Sooner or later Inti must choose what he wanted to do with himself, but that time was not now.
He reguarded what Brigid had said about the purple mare and took note of it, but how in his name was he supposed to know which purple mare she was talking about? There were plenty of them in this town. He also wondered what Calliope had done to frighten her so.

Sky Feathers came running up to Razz.
"What's going on?" she asked, looking stressed.
"Nothing, sweetheart, it's just a storm coming," Razz said.
Sky Feathers looked around, feeling a strange tingling in her stomach. She stayed close to Razz while he packed.

Tyr was actually behind some of the others in mage gathering--any so inclined would be _his_ first, but only if they were suited to walk in the Shadow. But the mage he had was formidable, with experience far beyond any of theirs....even if she was a bit, well, cracked. He was confident in his ability to juggle this situation...at least until the mortals were safe. Then if the gods wanted to test themselves against eachother...he wouldn't stop it. It was the nature of the gods to quarrel--a "just" enough cause for him to let it pass. As long as their precious mortals were safe. Enough mages had perished LAST time...
"Quite the gathering we've got here," he said in a voice made raspy by the years and past injuries.

Kail's stomach was in knots as Tyr showed up - she knew him, her family was actually friends with him, and knew what he proposed himself to be. She had never really dwelled on it until now, but as she saw him with all these other self-proclaimed "gods" her views on him suddenly changed. She had always respected him a great deal, he had been smart and well-liked amoung her family. But now... now she realized what he had really been all those years. Not smart, but dilusional. Just as dilusional as all these newcomers to town. Kail silently shook her head and wondered why some ponies just couldn't accept the Rainbow as the only true god.
"Yes, a storm," she said sadly and finished packing her things. "Wherever we go next, we do need to stop by the nursery and drop of all these things off. The cafe' would be a nice treat for the kids though." Raising her voice, she called to the rest of the nursery children. "Comon kids, time to go!" Most of them seemed to have already realized something was afoot, and were more than ready.
One was so ready, in fact, that he almost bowled her over running into her legs. "It's ok Harvest Moon, we are leaving now." She was well-aware of the fact that he was gifted beyond most foals, and thought he might have realized the danger much quicker than any of the others. She would have offered him a ride, but she had to carry the cooler on her back.
(ooc: Exit to ? Someone wanna pick a place? We don't have to post them going back to the nursery between the two.)
******
As Dreamer looked at him, Lian gave a bright smile. "Stop by to pick up your girlfriend fella? Or are you always in the habit of telling mares what to do?" He was refering to Dreamer telling Moony to follow him, Kail, and Razz away from the beach. Of course, if Moony did leave he would just find her later, and talk to her in private, away from the prying minds of the gods.
Lian turned to Moony with a winning smile, "it was the greatest pleasure to meet both you and your friend. And giving the little foals treats. It absolutely melts my heart! I do hope to meet you along the path again my dear." Melt his heart! Oh that was a good one, he would have to remember that. What a riot.
Tyr's arrival then caught the antlered pony's attention away from his hopeful-mage. "Tyr! What an absolute pity you didn't join us sooner! You see, it was a beautifully sunny day, but it seems the winds have changed and a storm is rolling in." Lian gave another one of his grins - he was afterall, the wind god. He also seemed to be the god of talking, as he hardly ever stopped. "Of course you know Brigid who absolutely adores children, and Inti the cute little heartbreaker he is, and my good pal Yama here. God of death and blah blah blah." He put a foreleg around Yama's cloaked shoulders and leaned over towards Tyr, "he's feeling rather shy today, I think he might just have a pimple or two he's trying to hide with that big ol' cloak of his."
Ocasta and Tyr were also shadow gods true, but Lian was so different from them it was sometimes hard to tell they were the same. He held almost no respect for others, and expected none in return. He wanted to have fun, at other's expense, and to the Darklands with what they thought of it!

Harvest Moon sniffled and stood back up. "I liked talking to the one...she was pretty, an' nice..." He was trying very hard not to look anywhere near Yama.
Tyr stared at Lian. Lian was...was... Odd. Yes. Very odd.
"I'm sorry, was that little monologue supposed to be witty?" Aedeminar tilted her head. "If so, I must have missed something." The ancient mage smiled sweetly.

Yama felt a hoof curl over his shoulder, and he growled.
Get off me you fool... He growled. Gods don't get pimples...
Yama was reaching the end of his tether. Finally, he snapped. He snorted and reared up into the air, yelling loudly. "You idiots! You make me sick! You call yourselves gods?!!!!!" His hooves crashed to the ground again.
"I'm here to recruit mages, and not one of you pathetic gods will get in my way!!"
Gumdrop hid behind Kail and Purple hissed.

Bella's attention was quickly focused on the outraged god and a small squeal escaped her as she ran behind Gumdrop who was hiding behind Kail. Her puppy yelped and ran towards Bellaluna, it's tail between it's legs which clearly showed it's fear. Reaching down to pat her scared pet slowly, Bella fixed her eye's on Kail. "That pony is being awful mean..." Her expression became rather worried.

As some of the mortals started to leave, Inti noticed Lian had said his goodbyes to his acquaintances. He remembered that Kail was the only one he had really talked to around here, but was it really wise to speak to someone that has acquired so much private information about he and his fellow gods? Especially when he was the one that told her so? He was getting quite sick of all this decision-making. With that he whirled around and galloped a few lengths before realizing that the sea-green mare had already made her way past the sand dunes and was gone.
“Darn…” He said to himself feeling very frustrated, “Too late.” He turned about and walked back to the circle of immortals. He stopped when he passed Cane. “Cane, I feel guilty for just leaving you here, so if you’d like to leave and get out of this storm, feel free to leave at any time. I’ll get back to you later. I’ve got my ways.” He winked.
He walked up beside Brigid again. Right now he didn’t really want to stand next to her, since she was probably still hopping mad with him, but he felt obligated to since she was light as he was.
"Of course you know Brigid who absolutely adores children, and Inti the cute little heartbreaker he is, and my good pal Yama here. God of death and blah blah blah."
Heartbreaker? Inti thought again. Why does everyone keep saying that? I’ve never broken a heart in my life! Wait a minute…what if I did and I don’t know it yet. Oh no, this isn’t good… His thoughts were broken by Tyr.
He put a foreleg around Yama's cloaked shoulders and leaned over towards Tyr, "he's feeling rather shy today, I think he might just have a pimple or two he's trying to hide with that big ol' cloak of his."
Inti felt an urge to laugh out of nowhere. He tried to hold it in the best he could. For it was not proper of a god to laugh at such things, right? Finally he let out a burst of laughter and then stupid remembered he could use his own power against himself and his jaws immediately shut. He was still smiling intimidatingly at the Dark god. If he was going to laugh at someone else’s expense, laugh at Yama. It felt good to poke fun at a Dark god, even if it wasn’t him doing it and even if it wasn’t the proper thing to do.
Get off me you fool... He growled. Gods don't get pimples... "You idiots! You make me sick! You call yourselves gods?!!!!!" His hooves crashed to the ground again. "I'm here to recruit mages, and not one of you pathetic gods will get in my way!!"
He was going to say something to the god in a ‘Oh yeah, well you know what?!’ kind of tone when he saw a purple mare a little ways away hissing at Yama. Maybe this was Brigid was talking about? After this was all over, he was going to find out one way or another. (ooc: carp, forget what I said here. I'm starting to think Purple is a cat or somethng but I don't know. Exactly what purple mare was Brigid talking about anyhow? Wysteria?)
(ooc: sorry for such long posts guys.)
