(con’t from outer edges)
Inti entered the inn, now feeling very tired. After the fight and caring Brigid all the way into town, he was exhausted. He noticed Shadoweaver who looked like she was the innkeeper. She was talking with a few others; probably other customers, and Inti motioned her over near the door away from the group with a flick of his head. He stood back and allowed Peri to pass through the door so he two would be out of the rain, then he closed the door. Although he was still very concerned for Brigid, he knew that wit mortals around, it was time to put on what he called his “party-manners” face. He smiled weakly and it was barely believable, but it was a start. He realized that not only was he dripping mud and water onto the floor, but also Brigid’s blood was still dripping down, looking a bit diluted from the rainwater, but still a good deal that might stain the floor. He gave Shadoweaver a helpless, guilty frown as if to say he was sorry.

Peri stepped inside, thankful at last that they managed to bring the dead weight all the way into town without a hitch. The white stallion than approached Shadoweaver where Inti remained silent and in the minimal of explanations, stated, "We found her in the woods, this was the first place we could go."

Again arriving minutes after the two stallions, Jewel cursed the rain under her strained breath. It was getting late, and fatigue was beginning to set in on the mare. She was soaked to the bone from the rain, muddy past the ankles from her off-road running pursuit, and wet pieces of her mane and forelock stuck to the sides of her face and her neck. She wasn't in the most presentable condition, but she had sustained no injuries and was trying to remain unseen anyway. The thrill of what was still mostly a mystery to her kept her going in this unpleasant chase.
I don't know how long I can wait out here, The pegasus thought to herself, clenching her jaw to keep her teeth from chattering, It's quite a way home, and I don't want to have to sleep outside in the street...No.
Hesitantly and with small movements, Jewel walked up to a window on a dark side of the building. She instantly spotted the bright-white Peri Winkle, who was standing near the unfamiliar Inti. The badly wounded mare was being held by him. Looking at the Inn's patrons, Jewel didn't think twice about them--they seemed like everyday ponies to her.. for the most part. She soon recognized Tyr, and remembered the funny feeling he had given her in the Cafe. Intruiged as ever, she patiently waited for whatever was coming next.

Inti turned his head and acknowlaged Jewel for a brief moment, giving her a small smile that didn't last but a seccond. He looked at Bigid again, this time more carefully. Raising an eyebrow he apeared to be thinking as he looked at her face. A minute later he started down the hall.
"Come on, Peri. Let's get her to her room where she can rest."
Peri probably didn't know it, but just now Inti had looked into Brigid's mind. It was something Gods often did in times of trouble or concern. He then knew exactly where her room was.
After turning another short hallway and going up some stairs, they were finally at her door. Without hesitation, Inti opened it and turned on the lights, then moved aside to let Peri in. He walked into her bathroom and with his teeth he ripped the plastic-like shower curtain off the shower bar and dragged it into her bedroom, laid it out on the floor, then carefully put Brigid on top of it. This way there would be barely any bloodstains on the carpet for the innkeeper to clean. (Being of the Incan tribe, the stallion knew how to be very recorceful.)
He went back into the bathroom to get a damp towel that he'd clean her wounds with. When he returned he handed another one to Peri. "Here. We need to clean the wounds fast so we can bandage them up."
With that he kneeled down and began to whipe the mud, dirt, and blood away from her injuries.

Peri also rushed into Brigid's bathroom, and retrieved a bar of soap, which Inti had seemed to forget.
"This will help stop infection," the stallion told the god. He recalled Inti explaining of the gods eternal slumber for the past odd amount of centuries. Assuming Inti was still ignorant to modern medical advancements, Peri felt he had to make sure to pick up the things Inti would forget.
The white stallion began to lather up the bar of soap until his hooves were sudsy white. He took his wash cloth and the sudsy and began to message it into the irritated wounds. The actor knew if she were awake, that she would probably thrash about from the stinging it probably gives off. Of course, Peri was still somewhat unaware that Brigid was one of the gods Peri knew was about. However, despite him not knowing such, the soap was still a good idea. Peri didn't like the thoughts of amputation to any limb due to a severe infection.
The clean up was fast work, as Peri, and certainly Inti, were anxious to make sure all wounds were treated. Seeing as now that she was clean and tended to, Peri Winkle reflected on the damage. "With a good amount of luck the bruises will heal up fairly well. There weren't any protrusions of the skin, so I'm not sure if there are any broken bones. That shoulder wound wasn't bad, but this gash on her hip...," Peri gestured over the bandaged wound, "This is pretty bad. If it gets infected, she might get sick, and the leg might possibly need to be removed."
Peri was by no means a doctor, but it all was common sense. He was just hoping for the best, as he was now starting to feel the severity of it. "So....do you know who she is?"

Jewel froze in place as Inti's eyes met hers. He had turned to her so deliberately he MUST have known she was there. But how? And for how long? She had been so careful, and so quiet! In her old home, she had been through combat and self-defense training, part of which included effective spying skills. The pegasus was one of the stealthiest ponies when she really concentrated on it... yet he knew she was there.
The muddy, wet pegasus suddenly felt rather foolish, going to so much trouble when her efforts proved futile. Hopefully he didn't make the link between her and Peri Winkle.. otherwise, there might be even more unanswered questions later. Inti didn't really give her a strange glance, though.. he had smiled. What did that mean? Did he know what she was doing?
After Peri and Inti disappeared into the interior, Jewel turned and sat against the building, purple eyes drifting up to the dark, overcast sky. She sighed heavily, and pulled her legs closer so she could be under the protection of the awning. The rain had let up considerably, but was still drizzling. All of this was so perplexing, so new.. she retraced her thoughts. Tyr, at the Cafe.. the voice only she could hear had labelled him a god. Could this be true of others? Who else? It was even more mysterious when Peri and Inti disappeared to be found later with a nearly dead mare, all three of whom were now somewhere inside the Inn. Jewel's head spun.. it could mean so many different things.

...and there were few ways of finding out which.
With a sudden spark and twinge of adrenaline, Jewel stood and looked toward the entrance to the Inn. Shaking her mane into place and assuming a composed posture, she calmly walked toward the door, wiping her muddy hooves before opening it. She entered slowly, taking her time and not drawing attention to herself. She forced a polite, unsuspicious smile to the patrons who looked her way, and walked straight toward the stairs she had seen Peri and Inti take.
Treating each stair like a bed of eggshells, Jewel curiously and quietly crept toward the second floor. Her amulet hummed steadily and glowed a creamy-yellow color, as if it couldn't decide which to choose. The pegasus' heart pounded in her chest. Sure, this wasn't a life-or-death situation, but at this point, she really couldn't be sure. Down the hallway a little, a door was cracked, and she identified Peri's voice within.
"So....do you know who she is?"
Reflecting briefly upon wise words which expressed the idea that those who talk never learn nearly as much as those who listen, Jewel pressed her body against the wall in the hallway, eavesdropping on the stallions' conversation.

Shadoweaver's eyes had widened upon seeing the wounded Brigid, and Tyr had barely muffled a curse. "Who?" he hissed, and Shadoweaver shook her head. Without even an apology she left the other customers and rushed to Brigid's rooms.
Mother--
Coming. Dragonrose, from her room further down the hall, acutally shoved into the room first. The midnight blue flutter whimpered as she forced herself to take a good look at the goddess. "Brigid..." She shook sky blue hair out of her eyes, and made her way to the mare's side. "What happened? Or do you know?" The priestess-mage demanded of Peri and Inti. Shadoweaver made her way up more quietly, focusing her gaze on the worst of the wounds and murmuring under her breath. Not naturally a healer, she was nevertheless trying to work magic in the goddess's favor.

All of the sudden commotion around her finally managed to jar the goddess from her sleep. Her eyelids twitched at first, until they fluttered open. Green eyes gazed upward to the gathering group. Brigid's mind was a blank for a moment.
Then all the events flooded back, leaving the light goddess very, very angry.
Brigid bucked hard, thrashing, trying to stand up. "Where is he?!! I'll pluck every one of his d**ned feathers out!!," she shrieked out in a boiling rage. Ignoring Tyr, Shadoweaver, and even Dragonrose, Brigid sharply pointed her horn to Inti. "You...," she hissed too him lowly, eyes narrowing into beads.
Still forcing herself up, she continued ranting as loud as she could. "This is YOUR fault! I TOLD you to fight for that one!" Holding nothing back, Brigid directly sent the image of Wysteria to his mind so that he could not play ignorant with her. Managing to finally stand up, as the shower curtain managed to hinder the process some, Brigid continued to accuse Inti by limping threateningly towards him.
"Do you think I take lightly to just giving up my interest to potential light mages so that you can just LET THE DARK GODS TAKE THEM?!!," she swung her head at him, not caring if her horn should hit him or not. "Can you IMAGINE how cruel Yama will be to that poor mare?! She has not the will to survive under the dark gods!!"
Following this Brigid let out a painful, but still ferocious scream at him. "And what RIGHT do you HAVE to just read my mind?! Do not act as if I could not feel you searching there!!" Again, she thwarted the air, Inti practically up against a wall.
The beige goddess paused to inhale, beginning to huff and puff as her injured body was not to stand for such outrageous movements. However, she forced herself to maintain a posture of capability, no matter how draining she would not accept being injured.
It was also much easier to blame Inti, than accept the blame herself.

As soon as Brigid started thrashing and screaming, Jewel pushed her nose just inside the door so she could actually see what was going on. It was unlikely that she'd be noticed atop everything that was going on in the room. Keeping a steady stance, she held her breath. "Do you think I take lightly to just giving up my interest to potential light mages so that you can just LET THE DARK GODS TAKE THEM?!!"Gods.. Jewel thought, half in awe and half in fear, Like that one in the Cafe... Tyr. She swiveled her ears foward, though it wasn't hard to hear Brigid's yelling. DARK gods?? That doesn't sound too good.. but they're here, in Ponyville... they must be. I should warn Rose... The pegasus' thought process ceased for a moment as she continued to watch Brigid's tirade. (ooc: Warn Rose... why do I get the feeling that won't do any good? )

Brigid's ears flipped forward, picking up on the mental thoughts of Jewel, just outside the door.
Instantly her head shot towards that direction, still panting, but with a face that could kill. She didn't need to see Jewel's full body to know that the other was a peg, and currently, pegs were the last breed of pony Brigid wanted anything to do with.
Go warn your Rose. she thought out only to the yellow peg, a stern anger to her thought.

Holy Hasbro..
Purple eyes widened as Jewel froze for a brief second, then backed up a few paces. She looked at Peri, then, in a wisp of tan and purple, spun on her heels and ran down the hallway. Brigid, especially being a goddess, was NOT one she wanted to mess with. After deftly descending the stairs, she almost literally flew through the lobby and out the door.
Again submerged into the unpleasant night weather, Jewel galloped down the main road. Pounding hoofbeats splashed through the puddles dotting the road, and wet wings hugged her rolling back. The pegasus' head whipped around to quickly glance behind her, and she stumbled a little in the process. After quickly regaining her footing, she kept running until she was well-concealed within her beloved woods.
Panting and slightly trembling from her exersion, the purple-haired mare stopped and looked back toward the town.
"Peri.."

Inti smiled when Peri offered him the soap. Obviously he was behind his time, but he was always willing to learn something new. Soon the unicorn was cleaned up and bandaged. A job well done in his opinion.
"So....do you know who she is?"
“Yes,” Inti replied, looking her over one last time to see if they had missed anything, “Her name is Brigid. She is another god..er…goddess. She a light one, like me.”
Suddenly another mare entered the room followed by another. When they entered Inti had noticed Jewel hiding behind the saftey of the doorway. He didn’t think much of it, knowing she was harmless and was also the one Peri had been flirting with. So she probably had no bad intentions.
"What happened? Or do you know?"
He looked up at the mare with focused eyes, as if she’d touched the wrong subject. “Yama happened.” Inti remembered the mare was a mage of Brigid, so Brigid would probably allow him to speak of Yama, had she been conscious.
Suddenly, the cream unicorn awakened with a furious start. Inti took a gulp after seeing this action. He knew exactly what he was in for now.
Brigid sharply pointed her horn to Inti. "You...," she hissed too him lowly, eyes narrowing into beads.
Inti slunk to a unsettled stance like that of a guilty puppy who’d just wet the floor. “W- What did I do?”
"This is YOUR fault! I TOLD you to fight for that one!"
With that he saw the image of Wysteria enter into his mind. Her? He thought. But I hadn’t seen her since the beach! What the heck is Brigid getting at? As the stallion thought those words he was taking a cautious step backward with her every advance until she had backed him into a corner of the room.
"Do you think I take lightly to just giving up my interest to potential light mages so that you can just LET THE DARK GODS TAKE THEM?!!…Can you IMAGINE how cruel Yama will be to that poor mare?! She has not the will to survive under the dark gods!!"
As Brigid took a swing at Inti, he started to get defensive. “WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT WOMAN?! THE LAST TIME I SAW HER WAS AT THE BEACH. I DIDN’T HAVE A CLUE WHERE SHE WAS AFTER THAT!”
"And what RIGHT do you HAVE to just read my mind?! Do not act as if I could not feel you searching there!!"
“I had to read your mind to bring you here! YOU’RE HURT! I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP!”
He decided to hush his voice, hoping Brigid would do the same. “And look, you’re limping. You need rest. You should get in bed right now with wounds like that. “
Suddenly Brigid had turned towards the door where the yellow peg was standing. In a second, she was gone. Brigid had said something to scare her away, but Inti didn’t know what. His head turned back to Brigid with a frown. “Whatever you said to her, you shouldn’t have..” His voice trailed off. Just because Brigid was angry at him, didn’t mean she had to take it out on others.

"You didn't have a clue?!," Brigid retorted, half insulted that Inti would be as dense as he was. "What's wrong with you?! You are a GOD!! Don't act as if you can't feel the spiritual vibrations of those around you! You could have easily sensed her out just as you could sense out the locations of the other gods!"
“I had to read your mind to bring you here! YOU’RE HURT! I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP!”
"Trying to help?," she snapped back with a loud and obnoxious snort, "YOU SHOULD HAVE HELPED TAKE DOWN YAMA!!"
He decided to hush his voice, hoping Brigid would do the same. “And look, you’re limping. You need rest. You should get in bed right now with wounds like that.“
"Do not tell me what to do!," she hissed back at him, still louder than he, but more quiet than her sudden shout just then. "You cannot even behave like a god, and you certainly have not shown any capability to keep your mages in line! So do not dare tell me what to do!"
"Now wait a minute!," the white stallion began in Inti's defense.
Her green eyes darted to Peri Winkle. Peri's voice stopped as he swallowed a large lump that suddenly formed, the hairs on the back of his neck bristling up in nervousness. Brigid returned her cold look back to the Incan god.
"You treat your mages as if they were friends.," she snickered, "THAT is why I told you to fight for her!! Calliope obviously frightened her, and although I wanted her myself, she would not have been right for me. You should have followed her, THAT is why this is YOUR FAULT!"
She turned around, limping from the pain in her left shoulder and back right leg. Trying her best to ignore her injures, Brigid continued onward as if they weren't there. "These are only flesh wounds, I am perfectly fine and capable of managing myself.," she again shot out to him, completely ignoring his comment in response of Jewel.
"Shadoweaver," Brigid forced herself to say calmly after a moment, "I am famished, please go and fetch whatever is in preparation for supper."

Shadoweaver raised her brow, but decided to leave the handling of the goddess to those who knew her better. She nodded and scurried off to fetch a hearty repast.
Dragonrose was not so meak. "You're limping," she said flatly, meeting the goddess's eyes. She ignored the fact that Brigid had just ordered Inti not to boss her around. "Flesh wounds my arse--they're a tad worse than that, m'lady. Sit until my daughter brings your dinner, at least." She lifted her delicate chin, sky blue eyes snapping with buried anger of her own. Maybe it was not wise for a follower to boss around their deity, but Dragonrose had a sense of much more being at stake. Brigid was important--to the world, and to her. She loved the beige mare and was furious to see her injuried. There was a bone or two to pick with Yama, now...and the flutter, normally peaceful, was a force to be reckoned with when angered. Dark forces of Dream Valley had already found that out once...
Shadoweaver returned with a heavily laden tray. Seeing her mother's stubborn stance made her eyes widen, and she set the food down quickly and backed into a corner. She was afraid of her mother when she looked like that.
