Dallas walked into the cafe, but this time, she was not alone. Finnigan walked along by her side. The two had just arranged for the stallion to live in the loft above Loft 16. It was a good place for the Jazz artist.
The two seated themselves at a booth by the window. They had been moving all of Finn's belongings into the loft, and needed a break. The store, though, was still being worked on by the group of Dallas’ friends.
Dallas glanced around. Was Drummer working today? Shrugging to herself, she continued to chat with Finn. They waited patiently for someone to take their order.

Cotton Candy walked up to their table with a smile.
"Finnigan! Nice to see you again! What can I get for you guys today?" she asked.
The cafe was busy today and Drummer was off. But she'd managed before and she'd manage again.

Finnigan smiled at Cotton Candy. "Likewise." Glancing at Dallas, he silently told her to order first.
Catching the hint, she nodded. "Just a parmesan bagle and a lemonade, please." She smiled at Cotton Candy.
Two-tined eyes shone. "That sounds good, I'll have the same, please."

Cotton Candy gave a quick nod.
She returned a few minutes later with their bagels.
"Here you are." she said as she placed their plates on the table, "Enjoy, and let me know if you need anything else."

"Thank you." It was said in unison between the two, new, friends.
Glancing at one another, they grinned. Finn wanted to talk to Cotton Candy, but it was obvious that she was busy. He needn't bother her.
Looking up at the pink mare, he gave her a smile that seemed to explain what he was feeling.

Cotton Candy wondered just what Finnigan's smile meant. She hoped it meant he'd talk to her a little later.
She smiled a sweet smile back at him and hurried to help her other customers.

After chatting in the cafe for awhile, it was time for the duo to leave. There was still plenty of work to be done back at the store and loft.
Ordering a few treats for the guys back at the store, the two friends paid for their food and made their way out of the cafe. But... there was a note of thanks left on the table...
"Dear Cotton Candy, I wanted to thank you personally for yesterday, but you seemed rather busy. So this is the best I can offer. You are very kind, and I admire that. Perhaps we shall get to know one another a little more?
Sincerely, Finnigan"

Cotton Candy went to wipe the table off after Dallas and Finnigan had left. She picked up the note and read it to herself.
A wide grin appeared on her face. She folded the note and stuffed in her apron pocket.
Next time Finnigan came into the cafe, she'd make sure to take a break and talk to him!! She went back to her work, humming and smiling.
