(early winter, in the midst of snow)
Oreo wandered into the Cotton Candy Cafe warily, Scott on her heels. The dumb dog just wouldn't go away, and she really hoped she wouldn't get in trouble for bringing him in, but it was way too cold to leave him outside.
Her cheeks were a rosey shade of pink, and soft snowflakes littered her brown hair. She shook her mane to dry off a bit, and slowly walked up to the counter. She had only a few coins left of those her aunt had given her before she set out to the mainland, and she sincerely hoped it was enough to get her a cup of cocoa.
Oreo's body was worn and tired, but she was very happy to have finally reached a place to get out of the snow. It seemed to her it had been coming down endlessly, although she knew it had only been a few hours.
She talked to the waitress for a few moments and determined she could get a small cup of cocoa and, hopefully, still have enough left over to find a place to stay.

(OOC: because you have stolen my heart by making a Coursian Im gonna adopt you ;D Although you look like you already have it down - but any questions, just ask.)
Freon walked into the cafe with a smile - he loved the snow. His frosty blue hair was covered in small flakes, making it look almost as white as his body, and the shaggy fur coat he had always had coming from the Northlands was perfect for this weather - much nicer than when he first got here and was so hot.
Although being somewhat new himself still, he noticed an even newer filly at the counter. The first snowfall had put him in such a good mood that he dropped his usually shy persona and walked over with a warm smile, sitting a seat away from her and saying a quiet "hello."

Oreo looked up at the sound of another voice that was so close, astonished to see a cute white stallion looking at her.
"Uh, hi." She took a sip of cocoa and urged herself to say more. "Lovely weather we're having." she said sarcastically. Then, on a second thought, "I'm Oreo."
(OOC: I can RP pretty well, I just wanted a guide to get some history of what's been going on withought reading millions of posts and also so Oreo would meet some new ponies pretty quickly.)

Freon smiled, catching her sarcasm, and laughed softly, "You must not be from around here then? Most of these ponies at least enjoy the first few snowfalls. Myself, I love them - Im from the mountains where it snows all year round." Freon blushed a little and moved over a seat, next to her. "Im sorry, I dont usually ramble on. It is nice to meet you Oreo - Im Freon." (Go join the chat at the top of the main boards page - we are having a character chat! Its fun )

...Freon. Oreo liked the name. It reminded her very much of freedom, which she finally felt she had.
She smiled at his light blush, happy that she had finally stopped blushing. She felt Scott up against one of her legs, his warm body rising steadly. He was asleep.
"I don't think you're rambling. Rambling would be going on and on with no possibly end in sight while the person next to you started to nodd off and eventually drool without you really noticing that they stopped paying attention ages ago and that nothing you've said for the past hour and a half has been heard by anyone who really cares or would want to listen, even if they could." she paused. "Kinda like that....."

Freon chuckled, this girl was rather funny. "Yes, I suppose that would be rambling. I just usually am too shy to start a conversation - the snow has me in such a good mood though." He stopped and smiled widely.
"SO where are you from that you dont like the snow?"

"Course." she smiled and drank down her last gulp of cocoa. "And it's not really the snow I don't like, it's the cold." she shivered at the memory of traveling from the outskirts of Ponyland to the Cotton Candy Cafe in the freezing cold.
She snapped out of her memory and smiled again. "And I'm glad you're in a good mood. I'm not really too outgoing, and I probably would have had to sit here all alone without you."

"Course?" Freon gave her a weird look, "is that a place?" It must be a warm place if so, she had barely enough fur to cover her body! No wonder she was cold - his thick furry coat kept him warm in even the coldest weather.
He smiled, "well it would have been a shame to leave such a lovely lady sitting alone on a beautiful day like today."

Oreo smiled widely. Freon was the nicest pony she'd yet come across in possibly her whole life. In fact.......
"Care to show a lady around your town?"

Freon laughed softly - it was hardly his town, he had only been here three months! But who was he to pass up the chance to show a pretty filly around town?
"I'd be glad to m'lady," he said with a small bow. "As you have probably already noticed, this is the Cotton Candy Cafe - one of the best eateries in the area and hotspot of the town. When you have finished your cocoa we will continue on." He winked at her and realized he had never gotten what he came for.
"Waitress? Two pastries to go please." He smiled at Oreo, "they have the best pastries I bet you will ever try."

Oreo held up her cup so that Freon could see inside. "Empty!" she laid a few coins on the counter for the drink, and thanked Freon for the pastry as she hopped out of her seat, ready for the chance to spend more time this charming stallion.

Freon took his pastry from the waitress and thanked her, leaving a few coins on the table as well. He got off the stool and smiled at Oreo, "this way m'lady."
He made his way out of the cafe, holding the door open for her and standing on the side of her that was the windiest - afterall, he could take it.
(Cont. in Ponyville "A snowy day for two" since I dont know where to go yet unless you have any ideas)
