(con. from Twilight's Glow)
(Time: Erm, not sure anymore, perhaps late afternoon, early evening?)
Wysteria walked back to the Cafe which she'd been to earlier that day. "This is the Cotton Candy Cafe, Rook. Your basic coffee house if you will, including pasteries and the likes. They also serve meals for the day too.," she added.

Rook shook off the cold. This little cafe was super cute. His tummy rumbled loud enough to make Wysteria look up. "Sorry I am alittle hungry. I have been flying for days. Shall we order dinner. Maybe you can tell me a little about this place. Also a little about the people here. I can't help but notice that their seems to be a lot of empty buildings. Are you from here?" He gestered for her to find a place to rest. I thought perhaps he had caught a weiry look at the price list. "Your'e my guest for dinner. And don't feel guilty about it, your'e really paying for your meal by telling me everything I need to know. ......... So what's good?"

Wystera was beginning to feel more uneasy with the fact he easily made decisions for her. She set the thought aside.
"The fruit salad looks good," she said with a smile.
"Yes, I'm from here. And as for empty building, yes, unfortunately there happens to be a lot of them. We had some trouble about 3 months ago. (ooc: Basically the previous story arch) The town was attacked by the Rainbow of Darkness. And a lot of damage happened to the buildings, the most noticably being the castle. We're still in the process of cleaning up so to speak."
"As for some of the ponies here, you should take note to remember Cotton Candy, who owns the cafe. Mayor Pinkie Pie who would be living at the castle if it wasn't being rebuilt. Princess Baby Pink Sunsparkle, whom was the royalty here, although I can't remember where she's staying at now. And our champions. Seven ponies who were chosen to help battle the Dark Rainbow. They were blessed by the Rainbow of Light, so they're well respected. I heard they all recieved special markings or traits as proof of this, so if you see a pony with unordinary markings, it might be one."

"Interesting...ummm. Well I came from a rather pompus family far away. I ran off as a teenage foal to escape a engagment to a cow...literally. She even had two horns. I am afraid that my life so far has been kinda scattered. I have flown from place to search for a home and I never seem to find the perfect home. The last stop had ponies that hated strangers and they were a little flightly anyway. I would love to find someone to love...a place to call home......" Rook seemed to get caught up in his own thoughts for a minute...til a small cough woke him back up. "Sorry I tend to get homesick and then ramble. I have a lot of faults....don't tell anyone!" He smiled. " I ramble and I am bossy, feel free to kick me in the rear." "But the good news is....I know quite alot about repairs to stonework. I am a wonderful painter. I am a general fixer upper kinda guy. The very first place I stayed was the home of a tinker and he taught me everything he knew. I would love to help out around here. I also had 7 little brothers and sisters...so I am really good with kids." Rook wondered if he had said too much.

"You paint?," Wysteria asked slightly intrested. And why shouldn't she be? A community with creative artists help florish creative piece because of competition. If Rook was going to stay in Ponyville, Wysteria would have to make sure she'd be a one up on any of his painting projects.
"I paint for a living, well, I do more things than that, but basically I paint," Wysteria finished," If you're concerned about income, your stonework skills might be more usefull to you than your painting skills. Take it from me, we're still fixing up the town, therefor no one has the cash to spend on art so to speak."

Rook was generally surprised! Another artist! Wow! " Well in painting anyway I am more of a muralist. I do large scale paintings on storefrounts and the sides of buildings. I am not so good at plain storework...but the fancy stuff is great. Who should I talk to about helping?" "So....when we are done here, where should we go next? I know its getting late and you are more than welcome to go on to your own home. If you could just point me in the right direction. I hate to take up all your time." Rook's forlock fell back into his eyes and he shook his head to clear it....only to knock over his glass. The drink spilled all over the table and onto both of their laps! Rook lept up and grabbed his napkin trying to wipe up everything. "I am so so sorry....I am such a klutz! Oh gosh.....dang.....Are you okay?" Rook said with his lip trembling.

Instead of being frustraited, Wysteria found herself release a tiny laugh. It was comforting to know that Rook admitted to being clumsy.
"No problem, it's that right brained thing. You know, all of us creative, artistic ponies are slightly messy.," Wysteria told him, grabbing some extra paper towels to help soak up the liquid.
"The town is mostly just shops and other resturants. A lot of it is still closed for repairs. As I said, we're still in the process or rebuilding.," she answered to where they should go," Chances are you'll probably want to make sure you secure a place for tonight. The neighborhood would be best for that."
"And as for work...," she pondered a moment," I would just put fliers up about your services, I'm not sure whom to point you to for that."

Took warmed a little at her. Thank goodness she didn't get mad at him. His parents had always hated that clumsy side of him. He gave the table a last wipe and turned back to Wysteria. "Great! Whenever your'e ready if you could show me the way to the Neighborhood....then I can get set up. " He set the napkin down and waited for her responce. " You know its been so wonderful to meet you. I can't believe how lucky I am...in town only one day and already a friend."

Wysteria smiled and simply nodded his head at his words.
The purple mare gathered the shopping bags and her tot bag filled with sketching materials. "Ok. I think I've got everything," she anounced, looking down at her load. She hadn't carried a load like this in a while, and it felt good to walk home with unempty hooves.
(con. at the Neighborhood.)
