OOC: just so you know, most of the characters in the game - including the character who works at the Cafe - are in the Fest Eve thread entitled "Get your party on" in the Ponyville Board. Its a really good introduction thread, but if you would rather stay in this one I can bring an extra character in to say hi  |

(Um, well, Sweet Summertime isn't at the Party, she's at her home. She's the one who works at the Cafe, to let you know, RiceKrispie.  But my other characters are helping Mainsail birth a foal, so if you would like to help out, you can, it's titled: Mainsail's Fest Eve Surprise.) Sweet Summertime walked into the cafe. She then saw a flutter pony standing there. Sweet Summer smiled and walked over to her. "Hi there! I'm Sweet Summertime! Who are you?" She asked her.

(Kewl. I'm also Angel624 on PI, but you probably know that! ) Sweet Summertime smiled. "Well, it was nice to meet you. Now if you don't mind I need to talk to the manager of the Cafe. See you later!" She said and headed towards the manager's office. (If you don't mind, I'll play the manager ) Sweet Summertime knocked on the door. The manager opened it. "Oh, Sweet Summertime. Hello." She said. Sweet Summer smiled and walked in and sat in the chair in front of the manager's desk. "So, what are you here for?" She asked Summer. "Well, I have decided to move to Dream Valley." She said with a smile. Her manager looked up at her. "Why?" She asked her. Sweet Summertime blinked. "Well, you see, my family grew up there, and when my mom was still pregnant with me, they moved here." She said. "So that's probably the reason why." She said. Her manager nodded. "Ok, well, good luck on your journey. I'll give you this weeks paycheck on the day you leave." She said. Sweet Summertime smiled. "Thank you. I'll stop by here before I leave to say goodbye to all my friends." She said. And with that she left the office. |

(looks like graceful wing was left alone in the cafe, so I will step in). The door of the eerily quiet Cafe' jingled as it opened and two ponies walked in. The first through the door was young, perhaps only 12, 16 at the very oldest, and was pale sky blue with pale yellow hair. Her symbol looked like a splash of sea-green paint with a crab, urchin, and little yellow and brown striped fish over top. The filly had a bright smile, and wide, inquisitive eyes. The second to come through looked much older, in both the sense of age and the weight she seemed to carry around on her shoulders. Every part of her body seemed to sag, although it had obviously been beautiful at one point. Her body was a darker sky blue than her daughters and the tips of her mane and tail were white and held a loose curl - at one point they would have looked like waves cresting, but the curl wouldn't hold anymore and instead they looked limp and drunked in white paint. Nothing about this mare smiled. Tide Pool was excited, her mother, Gaerlom, exhausted. The Fest Eve celebration outside had too many ponies, and it had made the older nervous. She had been able to convince her daughter to join her in the normally off-limits Cafe just because Tide had always wanted to see it. Under most circumstances, the Cafe' was the place to be, and it made Gaerlom just as nervous as the party outside now did. They sat down at a booth and Tide looked around, taking in the decorations and the single other customer who was in the Cafe'. Trying to be polite she gave a little nod and a quick "hello" before shying up and turning to her mother's inquisitive glance. (OOC: feel free to jump in and talk to them - the little one will talk And just a note - try to have at least a paragraph of "stuff" in your post, whether it be explanation or scenery or what your character is thinking or whatever, thankee-sai!) |

Sweet Summertime headed towards the main part of the Cafe, which was where Graceful Wing was. Once she reached the main part, she smiled. She looked at the other two. "Oh, hello there." She said with a little chuckle. She turned to Graceful Wing. "So, how have things been?" She asked her.

"Oh, hi Rain Dancer!" She said. Rain Dancer looked at Graceful Wing. "Oh, hello there. You must be new here. I'm Rain Dancer. I can show you around Ponyville." She said with a grin. |

Rain Dancer looks at Graceful Wing. "So, are you coming or not?" She asked her. Sweet Summertime decides to grab herself a milkshake. She walks to the counter to order a vanilla milkshake. She sits at the same table the others are sitting at. "Hello there, hope you don't mind me sitting here." She said.

Rain Dancer waited outside the Cafe for Graceful Wing. She wondered what the other ponies were doing at the Festival of Lights. She decided to head there later. She stood there waiting for Graceful Wing.

Tide smiled happily at the stranger, but Gaerlom looked at her hesitantly and nervously. "Not at all," she replied softly, afterall, she didn't want to be rude.
"Do you work here? Are they really the best milkshakes in all of Ponyland? Can I get a job here when Im older?" Tide was looking wideeyed at the stranger with the milkshake.
"Hush child," her mother chided.
