The purple stallion sighed with relief as the pair entered the Castle's large front doors. Hoofbeats echoed in the stone halls, muffled only by the occaisional rug or tapestry.
Kimono felt slightly weak, as if he had just had one of the most tiring days of his life. But certainly he had felt worse. The purple stallion wrinkled his nose and sniffled, irritated by the excess moisture in his nostrils. While it wasn't terrible pain and discomfort, he sure wasn't feeling like himself.. but at least for now, he successfully blocked out the idea of the rumored sickness spreading through Ponyville.

Peri followed close behind Kimono with unsteady hooves. He had managed a good front before Jewel's friend and foal, but now he was feeling the end affect of his drinking binge--the fatigue. Oh, he was ready to crash and burn. What were the bets that tomorrow he'd have the hang over of his life and wouldn't remember most of the evening?
The soap star stopped a moment, shaking his head with two sneeze. What was going around? He never had allergies... Wasn't it just past flu season as well? Ughn, he couldn't think clearly about that now. It was enough to focus upon finding the right room. And find it he did, though the effort took clearly a few more minutes than usual.
With fumbling hooves, Peri opened the door and let Kimono in after him. "There's a couch or a spare bed in my room. Take your pick.

As the white stallion walked into his home, a pair of sapphire-orange eyes gleamed in the evening darkness. A black-tipped, gray lion-like tail twitched slightly, watching the actor as he approached.
The griffin, perched upon the top of a low bookshelf, squawked loudly just above Peri's head as the stallion reached that part of the room. Amr then held his head proudly, as usual, and looked down at the actor with almost a condescending smirk.
Just inside the doorway, Kimono's eyes widened at the awful sound, and he hesitated a moment before flicking on a light switch.
"Uh.. Peri?" The stallion's eyes locked on Amr, who was the size of a large dog, "I think you might have a griffin infestation.."

Peri visibly flinched, hooves above head in alarm with a yelp, "Holy--!"
His eye widened at the sight of Amr, albeit slightly fuzzy, but enough to both scare him and relax him too. What had Jewel called the beast? Amelie? Amish? Almer?
"AMY! ER, no--AMR!" Peri caught himself. "Ermmm....." Peri looked between Amr and Kimono. Then, almost comically, raised his hooves. "You two are gonna have to talk about who gets couch or bed, leave me out of it."

"Holy--!"
Amr smirked, rapping his talons along the top of the bookcase. Maybe having Jewel away wouldn't be so terrible after all. It seemed she had left the griffin something to amuse himself with in her absence.
"Amr?" The other stallion asked, stepping in and closing the door behind him. He had an urge to make sure his friend would be all right, and thus decided to stay.
Upon hearing his name, the griffin's ears perked in Kimono's direction, raising his eyebrows.
"You two are gonna have to talk about who gets couch or bed, leave me out of it."
Kimono looked at the griffin, who was smiling almost evilly.

Peri kept his eye on Amr, a funny expression on his face. "D*mn...and Jewel didn't leave me time to pet proof my house."

Did he just call me a pet??
Amr squawked indignantly, then leapt from the bookshelf in an effort of grace, landing close enough to Kimono to make the stallion jump slightly. The griffin huffed, then raised his head with closed eyes, and trotted off toward Peri's bedroom. Then hit the wall with a smack of his black beak.
With an expression of "That didn't just happen". Amr strode into the actor's bedroom.
Kimono blinked a few times, then turned to Peri, "I'll take the couch."

Peri Winkle turned once to look at Kimono. To Amr. And back to Kimono.
"Uh...are you sure you don't want my bed, because right now the couch sounds REALLY good."

The purple stallion shook his head profusely, backing toward the inviting couch. "Oh no no.. I couldn't take your bed.. besides, you need to sleep off that alcohol!" Kimono smiled encouragingly, moving to settle himself on the couch.
In the bedroom, Amr grinned to himself.

Peri's gulp was unmistakeably loud as he nodded in nervousness. "Uh, yeah...sure."
Tail between his legs he slowly inched towards his bedroom as if he was walking the green mile. Surely the griffin would make Peri's night eventful and exageratingly frightful. The actor's brain tried to process that the situation was no different than getting a signifacant other's pet to like them.
Yeah, but this S.O.'s pet was a griffin. This wasn't just some cat that would spitefully cough hairballs into your shoes. Finally inside, Peri narrowed his one eye slowly, cautiously onto Amr. "Hey there...uh...when did you get in? Heh, heh..."

Amr looked at Peri condescendingly, with half-closed eyes and an amused smirk. From his place standing on Peri's bed, he simply turned a few times and curled up at the foot of the bed. A moment later, the silver-black griffin's amber eye opened slightly, as if to ask why Peri was hesitating so.

Peri stood stock still for the most part of a minute, eyeing Amr with well earned cautiousness. Amr had always been well behaved in Jewel's presence, but there was no golden peg to keep the darker element of the beast away. Rather than argue with the creature, Peri resolved in his mind that he would approach it when he wasn't half tipsy, and proceeded to the spare bed normally reserved for guests.
"I suppose this isn't too bad." Peri murmured to himself, pulling up the covers and snuggling deep into the mattress. It was at that time Murphy’s law decided to "spring up" in the manor of a mattress spring breaking up and through the mattress.
Peri grumbled, and turned over. "Me and my big mouth."

Amr didn't move his relaxed body a bit at Peri's predicament. Instead, one amber eye watched the actor's movements, amused by the trouble he was going to. The griffin's lion-like tail raised a few times, patting the bed he was sleeping on as if to give Peri permission to sleep in his own bed. After all, the gold pegasus did seem rather infatuated with him, so he couldn't be that bad, really.

Peri's one organic eyes lifted and eyed Amr with a mixed look of fear and curiosity. Could he manage to share a bed with the creature? Would Amr even allow him to be so close to him?
Slowly, cautiously he approached his bed again, watching the spot Amr had freed up for him. Gulping audibly, the soap star lowered himself beside the creature, holding his breath in the intense moment.

Amr continued to watch Peri as if he were crazy. Once he was sure Peri had gotten the idea, the griffin yawned, stretched a front leg, then curled in a ball where he was at the foot of the bed, and closed his eyes. He had a feeling Peri wouldn't intrude upon his space.  |
