Star's head was held low as she wandered slowly through the streets of Ponyville, a few tears falling to the snow covered ground every so often. She didn't like being alone, so she looked for company, but no one seemed to want to talk to her, or even know her. Feeling saddened by what she had just seen, and also because of her lonliness, Star slumped to the cold bed of snow, crying.

Dragonrose saw the stranger and picked her way carefully to her through the snow. She had no idea what to say, so she whispered and quiet prayer for guidance and approached. "Excuse me....I don't know you but...you seem in need of company..." She shifted her weight form one slender leg to another. "May I ask what saddens you?"

Heartthrob was walking by at the time, when she could hear a pony crying. Abby jumped up, and dashed towards where the sound was coming from. Heartthrob had tried to run, but the snow was too deep. "At least I can fly." she said as she flapped her wings and flew up in the air. She spotted Abby beside the two ponies, she was sniffing them. "Not again." She sighed and dashed to the ground. She gently landed in front of the ponies, stomped her hoove angrily at Abby, who obeyed and came to her side as she gently said: "Are you alright? Are you hurt? are you upset?"

Star looked up at the others. She forced a smile, but it was very weak, as she wiped away her tears. "Alot of things sadden me..." She slowly got up from where she was laying in the snow, wiping away more tears with the back of her hoof. "I miss my family mostly...I don't know how to get to Dream Valley cecause I'm lost..." She said quietly.

At the mention of Dream Valley, Dragonrose drew herself up, her ears pricked forward. "I just came from Dream Valley. But give me the word, and when I'm done with my task here you can return with me...or I can take word back to your family, if you wish." She held her head at a slight angle, concern creasing her dainty brow.

"Or if you want, I can draw you a map to getting there. I just came from there also. You could pick it up tonight at my apartment." said Heartthrob. "Actually, Abby here could bring you right now. She kniows the way, and she will come right back to me after, too." Abby wiggled her bum and whuffed happily, hearing her name.

Starbeam's head lifted in a instant when they both mentioned knowing the way to Dream Valley. "Y-you know the way?!" Star stuttered, rather suprised. "Really? Anything would be great..." She trailed off and lowered her head slightly. "But I don't think it would be too good me going on my own, I'd probably get lost, being as clumsy as I am..." She shrugged and looked back at the two, her tears nearly gone.

"As much as I'd love to help you, I can't go with you, I have business to finish here. But like I said, I'm sure Abby is still willing to bring you you there. If not, I'm afraid I can't help you until I'm finished here." replied Heartthrob.

"As I mentioned, I must return there after my task is done. You could always come with me then." She paused, doing her best to muster a warm smile. She wasn't much for smiling, usually. "I'm Dragonrose, sometime diplomat for Queen Sunrunner of Dream Valley."

"I don't ask for your help if you are too busy. I don't want to be rude. Absolutely anything is fine, and whenever it suits either of you..." Starbeam really wanted to go back to Dream Valley as soon as she could, but there was no way she would want to make anyone take her if they had jobs to do. She knew that she was too clumsy to go by herself, and it wouldn't be much better if she followed a dog. "I just wish there was some way I could let them know I was ok..." She murmered quietly.

"If I can find my friend Aedeminar here, I'm sure she can pass back word to the Valley..." Dragonrose sighed. Therein lied the problem...how would she find Aedeminar, or her daughter?

Star listened curiously, and wondered who this Aedeminar was. "Are you looking for someone?" She asked, hoping she would be able to help.

"Aye, that I am. I need to find either my daughter, Shadoweaver, or my friend Aedeminar. Or Tyr, even...Aedeminar would have just arrived here, but both Tyr and Shadow have lived here for awhile. A black flutter and a grey unicorn..."

Star lifted her head, thinking, wondering if she had seen either of them. The motion soon turned into a shaking of her head, and a frown appeared upon her maw. "...Sorry, can't say I've seen either of them...but I'll help you look, if you want..." She trailed off slightly at the end, the thought that her clumsiness would only slow the search down entering her mind, but she would like to help, none the less.

Dragonrose sighed. "Any help--even simple company--would be appreciated. Come, I think I see a likely place..." Dragonrose headed towards the conspicious building she had sigted earlier--the one that had given her a pang of homesickness.
