(WARNING: This post is long and pointless. No one should read it unless they are bored or have a lot of free time. It’s basically just to move my chars along…)
(con’t from surprise room and neighborhood)
Stellaluna dashed into the streets of Ponyville. She couldn’t wait to tell Donner about what had happened. She looked around for him, but couldn’t seem to find a green pony (besides herself) anywhere around.
Meanwhile, Donner was downtown looking and random shop windows, and scanning through them for Stella. He saw nothing. He sighed and gave a shug as he continued down the street. “D*mn, if she’s gotten into any trouble Imma’ black out on somebody, yo.” He uttered to himself tensely.
Stellaluna was a little ways down, near the fountain in Ponyville square. Ponies often threw coins into it to make wishes. Stella had not coins to toss and frankly she had no desire to. Her mind was set on finding her friend. She jumped on the ledge of fountain to get a better look of the area.
Donner looked up and noticed a green mare in the distance. He couldn’t help but crack a grin. “Now what’s she doin’ ?” He remarked. He trotted over to her from behind. She didn’t see him because she was looking the other way, rather focused.
“Hey Stell.” He said suddenly but nonchalantly.
However his sudden greeting still managed to surprise her and she jumped, lost her grip, and slipped into the fountain. Water splashed everywhere, including all over Donner.
Stellaluna was now soaked in a pool of cold water, especially because it was around wintertime. For a moment she looked up at him rather embarrassed from her clumsiness, but then switched to ticked off and she frowned at him with her ears pinned back.
He was a little embarrassed too. “Eh…sorry.” He said, scratching the back of his head uneasily.
They stared at each other for a moment as if neither of them knew what to do. Donner finally extended a hoof. Stellaluna took it and he pulled he up out of the water.
“Thanks.” She said, still rather gruffly. She shook her body like a dog to dry herself, a lot of the excess water splattered onto Donner. He turned away as this happened, but said nothing.
Stellaluna looked up at Donner. She took a deep breath as they met eyes. “Donner…I have so much to tell you.” Her slightly wet body was shaking from the winter cold and her teeth chattered a bit. It was the same with Donner.
“You can tell me when we get back to Tristan’s place.” He said turning as he headed back. Stella trotted eagerly to catch up with him. She figured since she’d been away for so long her parents must be worried out of their minds. She’d call from Tristan’s, she decided.
The wind blew and it was so cold. Both green ponies shivered as they walked.
“Yo, let’s walk close so we don’t freeze our tails off.” Donner said, edging awfully close to Stella. He was right. The exchange of body heat was a big help, but this invasion of personal space was still something new to Stella and she blushed slightly.
(con’t back to Tristans I guess. See now, wasn’t that pointless?)
