The midnight blue pony walked into the main city. His coat and mane finally dry from his mornings unscheduled adventures in the ocean. He smiled at the site of other ponies but also feigned a slight unnoticed blush. Stepping forward on silent hooves he looked around him now trying to decide what would be best for him to pursue. He would need a place to stay first and foremost so that settled it. He looked at the busy ponies trying to ask politely where he could look.

Aloha Pearl was bouncing up the street, literally, with her headphones keeping her pink and orange hair out of her face. She was doing a little Soca move past the fountain and almost ran into someone around the other side. "Hey mon! Sorry bout dat. Didn't meanta run ya over."
She lifted the headphones from her ears and gave him the once-over with light blue eyes. "Ya Coursian? I always know a Coursian. From da big city right? Jus get hey? I'm 'Loha-P from Jadus." She stuck out a white front hoof to shake.

He loke in surprise as the female pony nearly plowed into him when comming around the fountain but stepping back he was able to avoid any collision. He was pleasently surprised to hear her accent and kept his eyes trained against her own turning into small pools as he gave a kind smile. He was a bit surprised she could tell what he was so swiftly but he was not going to get into questioning her over the matter. Lifting his hoof and gently taking her own in a soft shake he kept his head strait and propper.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, ms. Yes I am indeed from where you speculate."
He admitted wondering if this offended her any.
"My name is Shooting Star. Please forgive my rudeness."
He added on bowing his head respectablly.

The white pony kept a pleasant smile during the whole exchange. "No matter mon, I was the one not watchin', no rudeness on your part at all."
Headphones still blaring music from around her head, Aloha Pearl finally reached down and hit the stop button on the portable CD player. "I tell ya what mon, you won' find one a dese in Course or Jadus. Been like mah savin' grace hey. Soca everywhere I go." She gave a bright smile. Course, yes and even Jadus Marinus, were so far behind in technology of the rest of Ponyland it was rediculous. Of course, many of them liked it that way, but Loha-P couldn't remember what she did before having a portable CD player. Probably went bored all day.

He looked at the casette player with curiosity wondering how it could make so many various noises. He found it fascinating but the music was also most certainly different than what he was accustomed. Not that it was bad, only different. He kept the slightly embaressed smile on his face as he moved his hoof to the flute around his neck.
"I play this when I wish to hear a bit of music, or if no other performers are available.. Being new here I haven't the faintest idea of what to find here, but if all other ponies are as pleasing in company as you are I should not fret over the company of others. As it stands I am in need of finding a place to stay."

Loha's pale blue eyes took in the flute around his dark blue neck. Beautiful instrument, but not much fun. She shrugged - to each his own.
"Place t'stay?" She thought for a moment, "dere's de castle, if ya rich mon, or dey Black Dragon Inn. Fact," she paused for a moment, looking him up and down, "I tink dat would suit ya jus fine mon. It's very Coursian. You'd feel right at home!"
She gave a big smile, it wasn't meant as a bad thing, even if she wasn't fond of Coursians. All that had passed ten years ago, she was learning to let it go.
"I can take ya to it if ya like mon, I don hay no where t'go right now."

He was a little upset with the shrug on his flute. Not so much that he could not understand why she was unimpressed, he could tell it was not her type of music, but it was all he had from his home.
"Well I do not want to impose upon you, though it would be a pleasure to have directions and your company."
He said trying to be polite still and offered his lips turned into a smile once again.
"I do not think I would care to stay in the castle, it miht be nice but I do not want to be in a situation that makes me think I am better than anyone else. My parents worked very diligantly to teach me everyone is equal."
