(Jump to spring)
The day was bright, the morning as beautiful as it could be in the mid-spring day. And one thief sat lazily by the fountain center of town. Coon Skin felt just as she sat. Lazy. It'd been nearly a year since the last battle, and nearly a year since Stokely had graced herself with her presence. Coon truly missed the mare, and currently had to remain satisfied with just the phone calls.
A bright and perky mare walked up street, and Coon's gray ear flicked as if to attention. Eyeing her with a curious face, Coon eventually ignored the flirting prospect. She didn't feel like putting the effort out to flirt. Her hoof absently went to draw circles in the fountains water until hitting against the edge of a stick. With boredom evident on her features, Coon swiped up the stick and began tapping it to the ground. What to do?

(hope ya don´t mind. Here´s another villian, hehe. ^^)
Star Daser kicked the ground. She sat dowb on the park grass and miserabely looked around, lost in her own thougts.
She had never asked Kail or Razz to stay another night at the nursery. But she had learned to trust Razzaroo. Slightly ... How could you trust someone if you grew up like that? No. Dasher slept out at night, under the starry sky ...

Nearby, a heavy-set blue stallion walked along with a half-sleepy smile on his face. It was nearly afternoon, and the police pony had just gotten himself out of bed. Now it was time for work, patrolling the streets of Ponyville and.. more importantly.. taste-testing the goods at the Cafe.
Moe sauntered through the streets, nodding to the ponies he passed and addressing everyone simply as "Citizen." His gold sherrif star symbol shone in the light, as did the badge he wore around his neck. It was nice to feel important, even if you weren't really needed for anything.

Beebop had to get out of his appartment. He was sick of dealing with the mice and bugs that somehow always found thier way inside. He should have expected that much after paying a rent that was next to nothing a month. You get what you pay for.
He walked down the main street glancing in various windows, but not bothering to enter any shops. He didn't make any effort to move out of the way of other passer bys coming in his direction, often bumping shoulders with people.
He stopped at the fountain and rinses his face with his cupped hooves. He was still rather sleepy, and needed to wake himself up.
Out of the corner of his eye he could see the sherrif, and was rather wary of his presense. He had no problem with police authorities, nor did he have anything to hide, but some of his friends have had trouble with them in the past.

(Whis, this thread wasn't in a park, but in the center of town where there's a fountain, but don't worry 'bout that. Since I'm waiting for Peri and Jewel to move here, you wouldn't mind Coon casually flirting with Star, would you? Keep in mind Coon looks like a guy to 99% of everyone)
Coon Skin had lost count with how many times the end of the stuck connected with the hard cobblestone pavement of the town's bright center. When she was aware of this small, useless trivial matter, the gray mare flipped the stick over and began to tap the other end again, mindlessly clicking her tongue in tune with the tapping.
This bites...This bites more than Crafty Critter did when he was six months... Her irritated scowl lightened to one of thoughtful reflection. I wonder how big he's gotten? It's been ages since I'd been back home, I'm sure by now ma and Sly Eye have taken him on at least one heist by now. Wonder how pa's doing...
Her gray ears slumped sadly. She hadn't seen him in years, either. Coon could only wonder when his sentence was over, or when he got out on probation. Sometimes it didn't pay to be a thief. The masculine mare was hoping by this time that she'd be taking Stokely out to the wooded area in the backcountry she lived to meet her folks. At the least, Coon Skin wanted her to meet her father. She herself couldn't risk going in visitation to the jail, but she could always send Stokely to meet him be herself. Above her other relatives, she enjoyed her father's praise the most, and hoped he'd accept her current amour.
Golden eyes closed a moment, recalling the last time she'd seen Stokely. The real Stokely, and not some hallucination that Jol had cursed her with. For a moment, the masculine thief was shaky from recalling the event. In an effort to snap herself from her silent brooding, Coon whipped the stick up and across a cheek. Thankfully it was enough to do the trick, even though the self-inflicted blow smarted, but would ebb shortly.
And when the gray thief opened her golden eyes to the world again, a startling attractive mare currently taking refuge from the sun under a tree obtained her vision and complete attention. Coon's mouth opened slightly in a gap as her eyes traced her dark purple body and wildly bright pink and white hair. Lastly, as if being fairly attractive was not enough for Coon, she had a jewel similar to Peri Winkle's in her hip.
Coon literally smacked her face with the stick again. Stardasher was still there, and not a fantasy derived of boredom. With a charming, delighted look on her face, Coon Skin stood and sauntered over towards the tree, not even aware of Moe or Beebop's presence. Thank you Rainbow for this bounty I am to receive...
Stopping beside the purple thief, Coon flashed her a smile with some teeth. In her huskiest of voices, she purred in a masculine way, "Don't mind if I join you, do you? Sun's a little bright by the fountain."

((Oh, ok )) Star Dasher looked up at the "stallion" that was apparoching her. Still, she had a hard time trusting ponies, but she decided to give it a go. "Sure." The grey pony´s golden eyes glittered, and Star Dasher felt a little more confident. He seemed nice after all. "So ... who´re you?" She said it in a polite way. She did not want to scare him away. I´m so lonely ... have´nt seen Razz or Kail since the morning after the war ... company wont kill me.

"I'm Coon Skin, and may I ask the same?," her voice purred in deep tremors as she gazed delightfully on with her golden eyes.
Not at all wanting to scare the prospect away entirely by their first meeting, Coon retained the urge to sit down beside her. It was always best sometimes to contain some of her flirtatious personality and appear to be a trustworthy, upstanding person time to time. If Coon were to ever be able to remove the gem from Stardasher's hip, she would have to be able to get close to her as possible. In other words, Coon would have to reserve herself to get closer to her treasure. A task which delighted Coon in more than one-way.

"I'm Coon Skin, and may I ask the same?" It was a rather unusual question to Dasher, but she knew that other ponies usually told their names when the met. Personaly, she usually did not want to state her name either. But something, a feeling of comfidence, made Dasher allow herself to tell the truth. "My name´s Star Dasher." She said it. The whole name, without lying. But Dasher hardly noticed. The golden-eyed male seemed so ... so ... nice. Friendly, almost. Nearly as comfident as Razzaroo did. Razz ... eh. It was a lon time ago. Bet he´s already forgotten of me. I guess I did not hae much influnce on his life. But she did. She had pulled the arrows out from his body togheter with Kail ... Someone else could have done the same. It´s only good that I´m forgotten. Forgotten again ... I´m sure they are tht kind of good ponies who does´nt have any problems with leting a police poof in to say hello. Good for me I´m done. But that was a lie. Dasher´s heart ached slighlty as she thought of Razz and Kail. By that kiss, they had proofed that they could love. Love. The word meant so much to Dasher. Yet, she did´nt really understand it.

Coon tilted her head in an inquiring manor. It seemed her young friend appeared to be disheartened for some reason. Unknowingly to Dasher, a pretty mare with such a saddened face drove Coon mad with temptation (regardless of being a target of Coon's "borrowing" nature).
"Is anything buggin' you," Coon was quick to play the role of concerned acquaintance, "Your 'lucky star' not shining for you today?" Oh, I like that...Lucky Star. I am such a genius. Chalk one up for the mare who can coin pet names as if it was her niche!

"Bugging me? Nah, not really ... but I wonder when I ever got a lucky star". There was no idea of robbing this strong stallion anyway. And after all, he seemed quite friendly. But even if Dasher was never loved, the feelings was in there anyway. It was love she had been fighting to get her entire life, and here it somehow was, calling her ... having someone to talk to was enough, thought ... "I´ve always been wandering those paths. But nobody has ever talked to me like this. I usually walk on my own." She was´nt sure what to say, but somehow she had to bring this conversation further. She did not wan´t it ti end here. "So ... where are you from?"

Coon was glad to see the other lighten her mood up to some extent. It seemed as if a weight was lifted from her shoulders, and her stance loosened in a relaxed way. "I'm sure you'll get yourself a lucky star soon."
Coon tapped the stick in hoof, beginning to make random doodles in the air. "I grew up a little ways off of Dream Valley, but I've been just about everywhere. You?" She looked back with delightingly charming golden eyes, as she truly did wish to know. That was the advantage of conning a pretty mare, it was easy to play caringly when you really did care.

"I'm sure you'll get yourself a lucky star soon." Dasher smiled slightly.
Star Dasher watched Coon Skin picking up a stick and play with it in the air. "I grew up a little ways off of Dream Valley, but I've been just about everywhere. You?" Coon looked at the purple mare with (his) big, comfident golden eyes. When he looked like that at Dasher, she hardly noticed that her secrets ere slowly slipping out. "Ah. I do not really remember where I come from. But it´s quite far from Ponyville, I think. ... Actually, I lived at a nursery when I was young. But I grew up on my own out here."

"What do you think happened to it?" The golden pegasus asked the stallion at her side, sharp eyes scanning the surrounding area. Neither of them had seen anything happen to the scooter, and with as much time as they had been inside, it could be anywhere.
Scanning the streets, the pegasus spotted a stallion who could.. potentially.. in THEORY be of some assitance. With a deep breath, Jewel approched Moe, the police pony.
"Hello, Citizen," Moe greeted, remnants of sprinkles falling from his chin. He then looked away, at nothing imparticular. Jewel cleared her throat.
"Officer.." She started, standing in front of his random gazing to get his attention, "I need to ask you something."
"Oh. Ok." Moe blinked, smiled, and looked away again.
The pegasus rubbed her temple with a wingtip, "Did you see a scooter go by?"
"Why yes I did!" He smiled, giving her a nod before taking another bite of his pastry. Jewel slowly lowered her head, waiting for him to continue. She realized he wasn't going to.
"When?"
"Oh, all day. Those new contraptions are the latest thing. I can show you where they sell them if you're interested in making a purchase," He said, shifting his weight.
"No, no.. I HAD one. And now it's gone."
"Well then you DO need a new one. The store is right down that street and take a lef--"
"--No," Jewel sighed, "I want the one I HAD back."
"Oh," He said, then paused. "Well, what did you do with it?"
Jewel closed her eyes and slowly dug against the street with a back hoof, "Parked it.. outside the Cafe."
"Did you look there?"
The pegasus flattened her ears. "Yes."
"Did you find it?" The blue stallion asked.
"Would I be here ASKING YOU if I had FOUND IT?"
The police pony hesitated a moment before shrugging his large shoulders. Between gritted teeth she responded, "Thank you for your time, Officer..." and headed back to Peri's side.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Breezie tore down the street on the runaway scooter, barely avoiding nearby pedestrians as she swerved along at a dangerous speed. You see? This kind of thing never happens on your scooter. I told you your model couldn't be outdone.
Had she not been too busy worrying about her physical well-being at the moment, Breezie might have been a bit concerned about the fact that she was frustrated by the little voice in her head.
The young mare thought she saw a few other ponies next to her, and turned her head a bit in their direction. She wondered if they would help, but that thought was soon interrupted as she turned to face forwards again. She was headed straight into a large fountain. Oh joy!, the little voice said, and then there was silence. Breezie thought, Uh oh. You know things aren't gonna go well when the voices in your head start jumping ship.
Then she attempted hopelessly to change course, and squeezed her eyes shut in fear of the impending crash.
