(from the castle) Flash followed the stallion with ease. He was a great guide, easy to follow and understanding of her excitment. He was just so sweet. In all her life she had only known stallions that were hungry for power and control. Her own father had be okay...but had still treated her mother like a brood mare and a lesser pony. It was as if most stallions didn't think a mare had a brain. And really what were they talking about....they had a brain alright, between their back legs. Ha! She snorted outloud at that one, then whipped around to make sure that Kimono didn't notice! Whew....he was still walking normal. Kimono. Hmmm Kimono. He did seem to think Mares had a brain...and she hadn't seen him try any tricks on her. And from her view back here she knew he wasn't a gelding...much as he tried to hide that with his big purple tail! Maybe he was galloping on the otherside of the fence? Did he have a little stallion of his own? Or was he like a gelding afterall and just not interested. Maybe...... No she really must not go on and on about this. Afterall she was missing this great town! As they passed by a floral shop, Kimono stopped, she didn't notice and ran right into the back of him. "Ohhhf!" She grunted. " Oh gosh, sorry....I was looking at the flowers, uh yeah the flowers."

(("...much as he tried to hide that with his big purple tail! " )) Kimono lead the mare at a steady pace, making sure to point out all that he thought she might find interesting. Though his appearance was calm and quiet on the outside, the stallion's heart was beating a little quicker than normal, inwardly elated to have company, and such nice company, who could maybe become a new friend. "And this is the--" "--Ohhhf! Oh gosh, sorry....I was looking at the flowers, uh yeah the flowers."Kimono's emerald eyes widened as he felt the impact of the mare behind him. He teetered forward for only a moment, as his larger size kept him from losing his balance from the bump. The stallion chuckled softly, turning with an interested look to Flash. Seeing that she was fine, he smiled shyly and continued before picking up a walk again, "This, as you saw, is the florist shop..."

Flash was just about ready to hide her head in the sand....what an idiot! She held back embaressing tears and turned to look at the wonderful flowers. They really were wonderful. She stuck her nose in a big bunch of sweet pink flowers that she could not identify. She inhalled deeply and sighed with pleasure. "Almost as good as new book smell....or coffee." She crooned. The stallion had made a step toward the rest of their journey... "What's next!"

Worried that he might have made her feel awkward or embaressed, the stallion gave Flash a kind, mean-no-harm smile before proceeding on. He understood her excitement over this new place, and wanted to make her feel welcomed, if he could.
The purple stallion slowed a few paces until the smokey mare was at his side. That felt better to him than having her follow. Suprisingly sensitive for a stallion, Kimono easily assessed the situation when he needed to, and tried to act appropriately.
The mare's comment about books caught his interest. Glancing a green eye her way, he asked, "Do you like books?" with an interest. If she did, Rainbows would they have things to talk about!
"And, if you like coffee," He said, referencing her other comment, "That, over there, is the Cotton Candy Cafe. It's where most of us eat out, when we do. They have a bit of everything." He cleared his throat, feeling slightly shy again.

Flash smiled... "Well lets hit the bookstore and I can get something to read during coffee." Then she remembered this was only a tour...not a date. "Ohhh umm sorry. I mean if you have time that is...otherwise just point the way. Luckly I have a tall new home and can't get lost too easily." She winked at him, then blushed as she trotted to his side and walked in step with him.

Bookstore? Kimono's ears swiveled forward at the suggestion. Lonely as he was, despite how much he did appreciate his solace, the stallion was enjoying his time with Flash, and wasn't eager to end the day so suddenly. In a way, he was proud to be walking the streets of Ponyville with a new mare who's beautiful fiery looks tended to turn quite a few stallions' heads.
"Oh, I have plenty of time," He replied in his natural, quiet voice, accompanied by a somewhat shy smile. "Would you.. happen to have any interest in perusing the bookstore, then grabbing something at the Cafe afterwards?" He glanced at her hopefully.

I really need something to read...and I am kinda hungry." She smiled back at him. As they walked in the direction of the bookstore, she thought long and hard about this sweet stallion. He was so nice to her. She was also very excited about a bookstore. She had started a trilogy back on the road and had never found the third book in the series...maybe this place would have it.

"Wonderful," He smiled, ears swiveling forward for a second. Nothing intruiged him more than a mare who was into books. It provided an excellent common ground to discuss all sorts of things. The purple stallion did his best not to get his hopes up for a pony who might appreciate his studious bookwormishness instead of be bored by it. "Too the bookstore, then?" He asked, stopping momentarily to wait for her confirmation before switching direction to Novel Ideas. ((feel free to post there first if you like )
