I'll probably introduce her after the evils are pushing up daises, but I wanted to get this outta the way...
name: Tacet (A musical term meaning 'it is silent,' but her stage name is Desert Dawn.)
age: 19
type: G3 Earthling
symbol: A sunrise with the outline of a cactus.
colors: Pale rose-brown coat, white hair with one faded yellow mane streak, same color eyes. All in all, she gives the impression of one left in the sun until the colors all faded.
powers: None.
description/temperment: Tacet is shy, passive and soft-spoken. She'll only speak up if she has something worthwhile to say, and even then, only to those she feels she knows well enough.
birthplace: Born and raised in the Coursian Desert, Tacet's parents were part of a gypsy caravan, so they never stayed in one place for too long, naturally.
history: Tacet's mother, Sempre Senza, was a native to Egypt-land until she fell in love with Lento, the violinist in a band of gypsies. She joined the caravan and married him, and the two had twins together. Baby Sempre Senza, a spitting image of her G3 mother, and Baby Lento, as bold and brave a colt as his sunshine-pony father. Baby 'Senza learned all the tricks of the gypsy trade. Before she knew how to count higher than ten, she could dance and sing. Before she could write the alphabet, she could tell fortunes. Before she could finish an entire chapter book, she could play the violin. Of course, this could be due to the fact gypsies placed academic skills below the ones they employed so often. As Baby 'Senza grew, so did her musical talents. Her dancing could charm the birds from the trees, and her singing was rivalled by none. Baby Senza and Baby Lento lived very happy lives, until the eve of their naming ceremonies, where they would choose their adult names and symbols.
Then, tragedy struck.
Whilist the gypsy caravan was in Egypt-land, both foals wandered off to explore the city. It wasn't fair that they always had to stay near the camp, anyways! At first, they had a blast running around in the city's crowded streets... but after a few hours, not so much. They were cold, hungry, and scared... Where were Mommy and Daddy? Baby 'Senza begged her brother to stop for a break by a nearby stream... She was too thirsty to keep looking, and Daddy always said to stay in one place if you were lost, so they could find you easier. Despite Baby Lento's uneasy muttering, Baby Senza lowered her head to drink, not paying much attention to the funny-looking log floating nearby...
Had Baby Lento not shouted a warning then, the crocodile would have bitten her head right off. Instead, Baby Senza jerked away, and merely sustained a throat injury.
Both foals were found a half-hour later... Baby Senza's voice was ruined, but with time, would heal. Shattered by the fact she was reduced to scrawling out notes instead of singing and speaking, the young filly sadly chose the name Tacet during her naming ceremony, and the muted, defeated colors followed. Even her sunshine pony streak, inherited from her father, was either off-white or a light, limp yellow. The more lively stage name 'Desert Dawn,' chosen by her parents, soon followed, for now Tacet was old enough to perform... and though she could not sing, she could still dance.
Three years later, Tacet left the gypsies. Though her voice had returned, her spirit had not... she simply didn't feel up to it anymore. She set off to live a quiet, solitary lifestyle in peaceful little Ponyville.
Well, that was long-winded. True to the new rule, I've got to bore you further with my RPing experience. Ha ha.
I've been RPing for about 5 years... but I didn't learn proper punctuation until 3 years ago.
This is the first MLP RPG I've seen, but I've roleplayed all sorts of kooky things before... Megaman X, Redwall, Neopets, floating 'kao' head things, kitchen appliances, intelligent British apes... XD
And if you're STILL reading this crap, here's a poorly editted pic of Tacet I stole from the Hasbro site coloring book.
