Gib perked up her ears and looked at the flowers. A smile spread across her face as she went closer to the flowers Citrus had pointed out to her.
"Oh, they do look lovely," she said and leaned her muzzle over to sniff them. Before she reached the flowers, she stopped and glanced suspiciously at the pearly green mare who still had her head stuck in the middle of roses and her white tail swishing from one side to the other. When it looked like she wasn't about to barge in on her again, she turned her attention back to the flowers and sniffed them thoroughly. "Oh, these are quite perfect. They will compliment my yellow bench perfectly." She looked over at Citrus, a friendly smile on her face. "You seem to have an eye for flowers."
She felt a slight itch in her nose, but ignored it. Oh, shucks, she'd never been allergic to flowers before. Why should she become that suddenly now?

Crystal Crown had been listening intently at the little fairy she saw in the rose bush. She had an important message for her, but it was hard for her to concentrate over the babble of the other two mares. She glared at them over her shoulder and then pushed her head deeper into the rose bush, pricking her ears and straining herself to hear the urgent whispers. When she recognised the words "Wishing Well in danger" she suddenly jumped backwards and stared at the rosebush in horror. "Why didn't you say so?" she exclaimed, and then dashed out of the Bloomin' Blossoms, on her way to her wishing well, which she believed was now under attack by the forces of evil. Gibberish jumped high at Crystal Crown's sudden bolt, and she stared after the other mare in wide-eyed amazement. What the Rainbows was going on here? [[not to worry, I just wanted Crownie off from the thread - it gets wearisome to hold them both here. Gib is all yours now (cont in the Wishing Well board for Crownie)]]

[Lol, Crowny is one of a kind!]
"You seem to have an eye for flowers."
Citrus blushed. Sometimes she felt envy. Why couldn't her body be deep pink, too? "Oh, I don't know anything about flowers." She smiled slightly. The green mare left the shop. Jeez, what's the matter with her? Citrus glanced out the door when it flung open. It was still drizzling outside. Bummer ... she hoped that Gib wouldn't suggest them to leave together.

[[hehe]]
Gib looked after the pearly green mare and then shook her head.
"She's the weirdest pony I've ever met," she muttered and then turned back to Citrus, smiling a bit. She found herself liking the mare. That was strange. She hadn't liked really anybody in a long, long time. "Well, you have an eye for beauty, then," she said lightly and turned back to the flowers Citrus had pointed out to her. She waved her tail back and forth while she considered it. "I think I will want two bushes," she finally said decisively, nodding to herself. She looked at Citrus, suddenly getting a little nervous. "Do you... do you suppose you might, uh, help me to get these to my home? I... I live at the outskirts of town, and it's a long way to carry two bushes." She glanced outside. "After the rain stops, that is. I won't take any chances with that drizzle. Who knows, it might start pouring in the middle of the trip, and then my flowers would all be ruined."

Nile Breeze emerged from behind a large rose bush, shaking her mane and tail free of rose petals. She turned to quickly glance over herself to make sure her coiffured hair was pefect and in place, before stepping further forward. "Oh, hello! I didn't realise there were other people here," she said, her vioce soft yet somehow slightly dusty-sounding. "Beautiful day for flowers, isn't it?" She gave a big smile towards the other ponies, and from behind her, a tall, rather good looking light blue stallion emerged from behind the same rose bush. He also had rose petals in his mane and tail, and was wearing a somewhat sheepish grin. "Ladies," he greeted with a bob of his head, moving so that he was stood beside Nile, before wandering off.
"Such good help in here, don't you agree?" said Nile, grinning after the stallion. "He was /so/ helpful in helping me find the perfect rose."

Gibberish looked at the new mare, slightly startled by her appearance, and tried a faltering smile. She drew her ears back to the stallion - being not too fond of stallions herself - and then looked at Nile.
"You are into flowers too?" she asked with some amount of interest. She was quite fond of flowers and other plants and though few things in other ponies interested her, the prospect of finding another who might have a flower-related hobby appealed to her.
Her tail was shifting back and forth against her backfeet. She was nervous again, because of meeting yet a new acquaintance.

"Do you... do you suppose you might, uh, help me to get these to my home? I... I live at the outskirts of town, and it's a long way to carry two bushes."
At first, Citrus panicked. She glanced frankly at the window before she could even think about stopping herself. Seeing that it was still drizzling outside, she hoped that Gib wouldn't suspect her secret. Usually ponies did not, but she was often accused for being so vain that she did not want to mess her hair up.
"After the rain stops, that is. I won't take any chances with that drizzle. Who knows, it might start pouring in the middle of the trip, and then my flowers would all be ruined."
"Yeah, that's right," Citrus replied calmly, but her stomach made a somersault at the thought of it. Then another pony approached them.
"Oh, hello! I didn't realize there were other people here. Beautiful day for flowers, isn't it?"
Citrus saw a stallion appear from the rosebushes as well. Her stomach made another jump that had nothing to do with the rain.
"Such good help in here, don't you agree?" He was /so/ helpful in helping me find the perfect rose."
What exactly had happened Citrus did not want to go further into. Quite perplex, she was out of words. She couldn't even point at the window an say 'What a lovely day it is'. She wasn't happy about being reminded about the weather... Trying to change the subject, she finally replied: "Well, um, hi."

"Oh, yes, they're such wonderfully /beautiful/ things!" Chirruped Nile Breeze happily, and reached forward to deeply inhale some roses. "I'm just buying some to deck out my house for tonight. We're having the most /lavish/ dinnerparty, with the most /delightful/ dishes being made by this /wonderful/ chef. Close friends only, you see." She nodded gently, hinting as if the two unknown mares might invite themselves.
"Forgive me for being so rude. I'm Nile Breeze, but you may call me Nile. I don't believe I've had the /pleasure/ of meeting you both?" A sugary sweet smile spread across her face as she introduced herself, her purple eyes glistening in a friendly manner.

[[oh, btw, to italisize text, there's a button in the reply area (where you get from that little "reply" button at the bottom of the thread), so you don't have to do the slash-things. ]] Gibberish was not accustomed to social functions, and even less was she accustomed to reading other ponies for their intentions. As such, Nile's hints about the party quite went past her. She was pleased, however, to hear that the other mare liked flowers as well. "No," she replied, "I don't... I don't think we have." She shifted her hooves. "I'm Gibberish. My friends call me Gib." Not that she had any. Well, aside from Rogue and Tramp, but that Hollow Heart fellow had disappeared as soon as he'd arrived, and as for the mares she'd met the other day, she didn't think she'd see them ever again.

((Alright, I finally decided to bring these guys in here. Cont. from Ponyville.))
Wing Song walked in, looking over her shoulder to make sure Mookie was following. The last thing she needed just then was to lose him - she was already feeling as though she wasn't putting enough effort into taking care of him.
She called back to him, "Alright, see, Mookie? There are flowers, and...and all sorts of little plants in here, see? We can look around and everything..." She thought a moment before adding, "But don't wander off, okay?" There - now she could say she was being nice and responsible.

"Gibberish?" Nile said somewhat questioningly, cocking her head. "Well, that's sure an unusual name, but pleasant. Yes, pleasant." She smiled, swishing her tail gently.
Nile wouldn't know what it's like not to have friends. She was always a popular pony, as a young filly and now as a successful mare.
"I say, you seem to know quite a bit about flowers - I really can't decide between these beautiful white and pink roses or these absolutely delightful daisies. I'd really love something that will go with my silverware and this darling white lace tablecloth, but I'm afraid daisies might just be too frightfully casual. What would you do?"
The latest arrivals into the shop were cast a quick scanning glance through the mare's purple gaze, and she examined them casually.

Mookie trotted in after Wing Song, smiling with all the beaming happiness of a little foal. He was happy to see some plants again. He lifted up his nose and sniffed in the beautiful fragrance of the flowers.
"Rosies!" he said and galloped to the rose bush near Gibberish and the other mares. He put his little hooves onto the pedestal upon which the roses were and strained his neck to reach up to the roses.
Gibberish, who of course knew Wing Song and Mookie, had to smile when she saw them.
"Hi, Wing Song," she greeted the pink mare, but as she didn't want to be rude to Nile, she went to her and looked over the roses and the daisies. Her face wrinkled up as she considered her question as though it was terribly important. She squinted her eyes as she peered at the roses, and then she looked a the daisies again. "Well," she finally said, "I'd probably go for the roses, myself, if you're looking for something fancy or romantic or serious. Daisies are a little light, if you know what I mean. And besides, roses smell better."
Meanwhile, Mookie was getting frustrated when he couldn't reach the roses, and so he crouched down, flattened his ears, and jumped up at the rose bush. Having not thought it through, he landed right onto the roses. His mane got stuck into the spikes and he hurt his nose and suddenly realised he couldn't get off.
He cried out, a little alarmed.

Nile Breeze's expression changed to one of slight disapproval when the foal cam closer to her, and her ears twitched backwards briefly before a mild expression took over the former.
"Oh, yes, roses would be absolutely darling. I do think I'll purchase some of these ones, they're so delightfully scented!"
Then, when the foal jumps into the rose bush she was just examining, she leaped backwards, her calm with a startled cry, her normally composed air disrupted.
"Good grief!" The mare called once she had regained her natural cool, flicking her mane and tail to ensure their perfection. "How uncultured! Shouldn't someone get him out of there?" She, however, made no move to assist, standing back with one forehoof raised slightly off the ground, a slight look of disgust painting her face.
"Unbalanced youngsters should be kept under control! Such behaviour is just not acceptable in society! The roses, the poor roses! Now what will I buy for my dinner party?"
[OOC note: Nile's not overly enamoured with foals and youngsters in general.]

Citrus fell silent when Gib and Nile talked. And then entered a magenta pony and a foal. Citrus wondered why Nile Breeze spoke that way. Feeling a bit uneasy, she understood that they were very different. So she turned to look at another flower, pretending to be busy. An alarmed cry was heard.
"Unbalanced youngsters should be kept under control! Such behavior is just not acceptable in society! The roses, the poor roses! Now what will I buy for my dinner party?"
At first, Citrus got scared. She was considered a youngster to some. But when she understood that Nile meant Mookie, she frowned angrily behind the Morning Glories. She looked back at the other ponies with an indifferent look, completely hiding her true feelings. She did not feel that she was the one to open her mouth.

[[haha, I like Nile ]] Gibberish jumped back at Mookie's landing into the rose bush. She flattened her ears, quite startled, and lifted one forefoot uncertainly. She wasn't particularly sure of what she should have done to help the foal. He seemed to be struggling, and she didn't want to get her own hair tangled up into the roses - and she couldn't really cut off the roses, either, could she? Mookie, for his part, was trying to tear his head free of the rose bush, a few large tears glimmering in his eyes. It was hurting everywhere, but Nile's words, though he didn't understand quite half of what she was saying, sounded angry, and he didn't want anyone to be angry with him. Maybe, if he stayed quite still, he'd be all right. He was hoping the nice blond lady would come help soon. Gibberish wasn't so sure if she appreciated Nile's attitude to the foal especially much, as she was herself accustomed to having life rough, and she understood how confusing it all sometimes got to little ones - and how they tended to make mistakes. She had to admit she was fairly taken with her refined way of speech and how she appeared to be in other ways at a higher social scale than her. This made her feel slightly torn, as she didn't want to be rude to Nile but she still wanted to help the foal. She turned to Wing Song and Citrus for assistance. "Oh, how shall we get him out of there?"
