If one takes the staircase at the back of the shop, they will find themselves standing at the end of a wide, bright hall. Pictures of ponies with fabulous hairdos take up the majority of the wall space, but there are also a few paintings of grassy fields and secluded areas.
At the direct end of the hall is a wall with only one picture on it - that of a magnificent southern plantation. When asked about it, Amber will just smile and say, "Beautiful, ain't it?"
Turn right upon reaching the plantation picture to see a door painted a darker shade of pink than the rest of the walls. Through the door, which is often kept closed, is Amber's room. Those that have seen it have described it as a hair care paradise - but mention that to Amberlocks and the modest country girl will just nod and smile.
The stylist does not spend much time in her room, but it is any vain pony's dream. But to Amber it is much. much more - it is her kingdom, her sanctuary - her room.

(( Ignore the fancy intro - just trying to give you a mental image of her upstairs hall. This is where to post if a pony comes to see Amber when she's in her room, or wanders into her room on their own.))
