Angel flies down in front of the theatre. She has wanted to become an actress for a long time. She stepped inside to see what kind of play she could be in. "Hello, is anyone here?" She shouted. Hoping she wasn't interrupting anything.

Roxanne's eyes fluttered under her lids.
She was up in her own cozy flat, lying sprawled across her bed, not even covered by the blanket.
She hadn't been awake for days. The stress that magic had placed on her sensible Earth body was too great, and now she lay paralyzed in sleep, dreaming visions of blue: blue sparks, spheres, ribbons undulating in a mist...
A voice swam through the haze. 'Hello?' It said, and the blue pulsated with its beat. Roxy exhaled a deep breath, and inhaled again, mesmerized by it. 'Hello' came an echo, and this time Roxy tried to answer, but her mouth wouldn't move.
And with a burning flow of awareness Roxy suddenly realized that she had been asleep. Her eyes still closed, her limbs unlocked and she savored the feeling of sinking into her bedspread. The blue faded beneath her lids and she took another deep breath. Safe again in her own room...
But there came the voice again, and in her surprise Roxy opened her eyes to look at the ceiling. 'Hello, is anybody there?' it called.
With a noise like a small elephant, Roxy tried to leap into action. Her limbs thrashed into life but they were so unused to movement that everything sort of seized up on her and she became tangled in the flannel blanket.
Twitching and rolling, Roxy managed to yell "Yeah, yeah, coming!!" before she tumbled out of bed completely and hit the hardwood floor with a resounding thump.

Angel then heard a voice and saw a pony running up to her. "Hello there." Angel said. "I am Angel and I would like to try out here, what kind of plays are being put on right now?" She asked the pony. She could tell the pony was thinking. So she waited patiently for an answer.

[OOC: Are you talking about me? I never ran up to you, I only fell out of bed. Try not to narrate other people's characters ; ). But I'll go along with it - ]
Roxanne untangled herself from the sheets and stumbled downstairs. Flinging open the door into the theater lobby, she screeched to a halt at the sight of a strange pony waiting there.
She brushed a bunch of tangled mane out of her face with one clumsy hoof, and gaped slightly as the mare spoke.
What kind of plays...? thought Roxy, with the sudden realization that she actually still had a theater to run.
"Uhh... whoa, wow. Um, ok. Ok." She straightened up, tried to look vaguely dignified, and held out a hoof to shake. "Well, first of all, hi Angel, I'm Roxanne, the owner and manager. It's good to meet you; did you just come to Ponyville? We've got a lot of brand-new cats around here these days.
"Ha -" Roxy exhaled and smiled - "Yaknow, it's probably a good thing that you've come in here to wake me up. I uh... I've been down for the count lately, there's a lotta drama and battling been going on in this town. But hopefully most of it should be cleared up by now - at least I assume it is because you're here and you seem perfectly calm to me, right?" She gave Angel a broad wink.
"See, the long and short of it is that during the fighting I just mentioned, my theater got a bit trashed. But I'm gonna clean up as soon as I can, and maybe get the Ponyville Players troupe together and plan a season - that is, if nothing else crazy happens in this town for a while.
"So I can't tell you much right now, but if you stop by again in maybe a week I'll have a better idea of where this place stands. I can warn you now that the Ponyville Players troupe is tough to get into, and you have to help out around the theater first as well as auditioning. If you don't want to go professional, well -maybe for one of the plays this year, I'll decide to call open auditions and you can try out for a one-time deal. Howzat sound, hon?" Roxy grinned cheerfully, optimism reentering her heart at the sight of the enthusiastic newcomer.

((Well, I only called hello once, it seems if you were narrating my character! Oh well.))
Angel looked at Roxanne. "Well, sounds great! And I have been here for quite a while. So I'm not new or anything." She said giving her a funny look.

[OOC: *sighs* Ok, ok, you have a point. Still, the word "hello" was a part of what you said, so it's not like I was too far off. Hmm, as for your history... sorry, I haven't been around for a while and I didn't really know you. But I found your joining bio, and I get it now ; ).]
Roxy raised an eyebrow. "Well tiga, I don't remember you, but that's not unusual, my memory's a joke." She grinned. "Sorry for lumping y'in.
"So have you done theatre before? Since mine's the only theater around here, I figure I know all the town actors, but... haha, I guess you could have worked here a while back and my memory's gone completely off its rocker. Or did you work up at the Castle? They have plays there sometimes. If you haven't been onstage yet... well, I'm always glad to convert ponies to the Dark Side!" She winked.

"Well, I'm so sorry about your memory." Angel said politely. "Sometimes I can forget things." she then giggled a little. "So, um, maybe you could show me around the theatre, because I can't seem to remember seeing it." Angel said, scratching her forhead a little, trying to remember what plays she had been in. "Ah, now I remember." She said a few minutes later. "I remember performing here, but I don't think I have ever seen you here before." She said to Roxanne. "Oh well." She walked up to where the stage was and looked back at Roxanne. "So, may I audition? When are the auditions, anyways?" She asked her.

Roxy squinted at Angel, thinking. No, she really didn't remember this pony... and this pony didn't remember her, either! That was strange, if she had worked here.
Roxy thought it all sounded a little weird, seeing as Angel had seemed to not know anything about the theater earlier. Ah well. She shrugged it off and grinned again.
They walked into the theater proper, and Roxanne dashed up to the lighting booth to hit the house lights. She winced at the sight of her stage. It was still covered in bent tracking and glass shards from where the orange pony...
Ugh, don't think about that. Roxy shook her head vigorously and called out to Angel. "Hey babe, be careful around the stage. There was... a vandal in here a while back and I still haven't cleaned up yet. Broken glass everywhere, see?
"Hmm, well, like I told you earlier, I really don't have a specific plan yet. I haven't cleared this mess, I need a whole new lighting system because this one's obviously shot... and that comes first. Then as I said, I don't even know what plays we're going to do this season. I'll be posting it up around town when I do, though, don't worry. And yeah, maybe I'll hold open auditions... the Players are getting a little thin in the ranks lately. We'll see.
"I love that you're interested though kiddo! It'd be good to get this place up and running again."

Angel looked at Roxanne and grinned "Ok, thanks! I'll come back later when there are plays going on! Bye!" She called to Roxanne and flew out the theatre.

Roxy grinned and waved from the theater door. "Bye babe, see ya 'round!"
When Angel was out of sight her smile faded and she heaved a sigh, leaning up against the doorframe. Woof. That shouldn't have been so stressful.
But looking up and down the street... things didn't seem so different. Some buildings were damaged, but it wasn't too bad. Yeah, she thought, I guess life'll go on.
She turned, shut the door behind her, and went back up into her loft to regroup.
