Welcome to Novel Ideas, the place for R & R & R - reading, relaxation, and reciting. It contains all manners of books, comfy chairs, snacks, and a small stage for open readings and poetry slams.
It is owned by Spookytale, but most often you will find the manager, Tabs (dappled gray NPC) running the store.
The outside looks like a stack of books, with a teacup atop them. Inside to the left are all of the books. The magazines are in the front, then the other books. There are small revolving bookshelves crammed all over, holding yet more books. In the back is a small setup with children's books and beanbags, along with a small selection of stuffed animals.
Directly back from the door are the registers, though there is one register right by the door, for quick purchasing.. Behind them and to either side are displays of treats and goodies. Where there used to be a selection of fancy coffee equipment there is now a bouquet of flowers kept fresh by Spookytale. There is now a simpler coffee machine, and there is always a choice of three coffees: house, decaf, or the flavor of the day. There is also a large selection of teas, milks, flavors, and sweeteners.
To the right there is a lounge area containing fabulously comfortable chairs and round tables of varying sizes. Spookytale has stuck a few gothic candelabras on the tables, but they don't really fit with the rest of the modern and welcoming decor. There are two computers connected to a book search database and the Internet set in the corner. A small stage has been installed in the far side of the area. This is for readings - anyone is welcome to read, speak, or tell a tale at any time.
