(con. from the Fest Eve Party. Time is late Festival Eve night)
It was quite the task to hold Tsuwari in one hoof as the red unicorn unlocked her door with her free one. The first action performed upon entering was to turn on the lights. The small bundle in her foreleg squirmed just a tiny bit, clenching his eyes and trying to move himself in a position to block the light. Rose closed the door and placed her house keys on a key rack to the left of the door. She locked the door back up, knowing her parents had spare keys.
It only took a few minutes to set Tsuwari down in the crib her father assembled that afternoon. Minutes later Rose was ready for bed herself, promptly turned out the lights, and hoped her sleep would be long before Tsuwari would wake up next.

Tsuwari, exhausted from the night's events, slept peacefully that night without a fuss.
As the moon continued its route past the horizon, a icy gust of wind blew through the window of Rose's bedroom. A small, faint ribbon of orange blew around the room, as if tossed about by the wind. Gradually, it took form, casting a dim orange light on the sleeping figures.
The ghost of Glasye approached Tsuwari's crib.
"Ah, there you are," He said softly, his voice more of an echo than an original sound. "I've been waiting for you.." Glasye said, reaching in a hoof to touch the sleeping baby, who soon woke. Instead of scream or cry, Tsuwari stared wide-eyed at the orange form, not emitting a sound. Glasye grinned. "You're going to be strong, you are.." He lifted the baby's chin, "I see that orange flame inside you.. you could be powerful, just as I was..."

Rose Rebellion's sleeping figure trembled from the cold gust of winter air, whether be it from an ominous feeling or just the cold was anyone's guess. Still somewhat caught in the grasps of slumber, Rose merely pulled her blankets tighter and curled into a ball to contain heat. Moments passed and she settled back into her sleep.
If another gust should come, it would probably awaken her senses, and she would shut whatever window was open (to prevent Tsuwari from getting sick, of course.)

Rose's movement distracted Glasye from the baby. "We'll see eachother again soon, little colt," He said with a grin before passing an orange hoof over Tsuwari's eyes. The baby unicorn fell instantly back to sleep.
Glasye slowly walked over to Rose's sleeping figure. He looked at her for a moment, then brushed his muzzle against her ear. He whispered almost in a purring voice, "Rose, darling..."

Her ear flickered in a manor that a cat's would. Sleepily she rubbed her ear with her hoof, the nestled back down into her pillow. Once again, a tickling disturbed her ear and it flickered once more. On the third time, her eyes snapped open, her first thoughts a combination to the wind and an open window. "Rainbow," she groaned, "I need to but better win-" She rolled over to get up, her lavender eyes meeting those of transparent, daybreak yellow ones.
Instantly her body stiffened, her voice stuck in her throat, her breath withdrawn. She dared not blink, for deep down she was dreading that if she did, that he'd just disappear. Yet a very large part of herself was praying that the familiar figure would just vanish. Or it could have all been just a dream, Rose wasn't certain. Rose swallowed hard. "Glayse.," came out sounding thick, neither it being in greeting or in demanding of his leaving.

"The one and only," Glasye grinned in his suave, cocky way. "I see our foal has been born.." Just then, a strange look appeared in the orange one's eyes, one that may even be remotely familiar to Rose. His mind was ticking, but his mouth contined to bear his infamous grin. He looked back at her with a powerful gaze.

Rose did have to smile at that. They're foal had been born. And that she was grateful for. Though, her smile was more challenging than that of joy. "Yes," she answered him, giving Tsuwari's crib a wayward glance, "And all ready he's taken after you." She chuckled a little ironically. Looks like him, acts like him... like father, like son.
However, she reflected back at what had consoled her so many months ago to help her come to terms with the pregnancy. Rose would rear up Tsuwari to deal whatever evils he may have to deal with. That, she was determined on. "Glayse, I would like to assure you that Tsuwari may look and act like you as of now, but that is only for now. He will end up nothing like you in the slightest." Again she flashed him a challenging, defiant look.

Glasye looked slightly surprised, but not at all phased. He actually let out a laugh. "Rosie, dear, you don't seem to understand," He smirked, "There was a reason this foal was born." He paused, waiting for her to draw conclusions.

The red unicorn’s mouth sped off faster than her brain could comprehend. "You're darn right there was! And what ever you think that reason is, well," she paused, somewhat unsure what to say, or even how to put it, "Well, you're just wrong. So how about them apples." She childishly stuck out her tongue.
Although spouting to Glayse that he was wrong was certainly hard to do, especially since just seeing him was beginning to stir such strong emotions again (and the fact he was right didn't help as well). If Rose wasn't so bent on doing what she thought was right for Tsuwari's sake, she'd probably have swooned over the orange apparition.
"Seriously," she placed a determined look upon her face once more and regained her composure. "I remember what you said to me before you died. And to be honest, I don't care about what you said. Let's face it, Glayse. You're dead, and I'm not. Who'll have a better chance at influencing him? I think the answer is me.," it was said crudely, with an underlying hint of force. "So unless you find a way to even the odds on this playing field, I wouldn't be doing any future boasting of an evil successor.”

Glasye's pupils shrunk as his orange aura brightened. Instead of appearing angry, frustrated, or otherwise upset, Glasye became the image of scheming composure. He raised an eyebrow challengingly at the mare, then faded into an orange ribbon and sailed off, laughing evilly, into the night air.

Rose watched him wearily, as his expression changed. Then let out a startled yelp as he left in the manor he had. Unable to stop herself, Rose ran to the window after him, her heart being tugged at painfully. "Wha?! Not even a 'goodbye, Rosey'?!," she called back after him, said jokingly, but every bit distressed.
Slightly feeling depressed and abandoned, Rose closed her window and made sure to lock it tightly. Slowly she approached her crib and looked down at Tsuwari somewhat a miss of her situation. The last thing Rose had needed was a reminder of how the foal arrived in the world, although the messenger of that reminder was a nice surprise. Despite, Rose couldn't help but feel intimidated by the entire visit, and with a sigh, she blinked back a few tears.
Lingering a bit longer over Tsuwari's sleeping body, Rose sighed again, this time with some content. "The next few years are going to be long, aren't they?," she whispered softly to him, but smiled a bit happily, "At least your father and I will have quite a time playing this game of his, eh?" A little game she intended to win, of course. What better fun than to one up the seductive Glayse? Her smiled only broadened. What a fun time it will be.

(ooc: Rose, do you want to make a new post with Tsuwari being older? Post-jump? Foals do grow faster than humans... I'd love to have him running around and talking, at least )
