Night
Set exited the front door of Rose's home and wandered out into the yard. The ground was still damp from the rain, but the stars were once more shining. The storm was rumbling off to the east.

A smal wisp of orange trailed out the door behind the god, barely visible in the night. But Set could see him.. Set could probably always know where he was if he wanted to. Glasye's spirit wove around Set's head, then settled in front of him. I'm all ears.

Set felt a slight tickle in his ears.
The mare should be easy to control. The colt certainly, as I'd never a doubt about shaping his mind. They are both strongly bonded... I daresay it will be advantageous, as long as you can control yourself.
I'm prepared to offer you freedom, Glayse, but before you go getting any trapdoor ideas, I expect no love lost between us when at last our paths fork off. This day our paths are joined. It is the only reason I make this offer. Serve me to my own ends and when I've no more use for you or them, the mare and child are yours to do with as you please. As is whatever corner of the world you want to run off to...
In the meantime, you must stay out of the mare's mind, Glayse. She does not trust you and I cannot afford the liability. I do, however, have an important part for you to play, if you would stand as my mage. I will retreive your spirit and give you a mortal body to use while in my service.

Glasye listened intently, his faint orange aura acquiring a slight glow and energetic hum as Set explained what could be his in the end. The orange evil was certainly a stallion only after his own interests, and unlikely to consider the wants and needs of anyone else, but here was a unique situation. He could have Rose, Tsuwari, AND his mortality if he did was Set asked.
Yes, Set,Glasye responded, trying to keep the excitement from showing, I'll serve you as your mage until your will is done, then relish in my reward. It's not often I'd agree to such a thing, but your offer is one I simply can't refuse.
*A* mortal body? What about MY body? My strikingly handsome orange one? Glasye pictured himself in all his glory, so Set would both hear and see what he was referring to.

Set laughed, suddenly cheerful.
"I'm afraid that's a bit of the catch," he said aloud. "I can't have you running around in a shape she will recognize, now can I? No...it will have to be some other body..." He paused then, considering. "We'll have to find a donor...the question is where to find a willing one? Or even an unwilling one."
He drifted into thought.
Perhaps this will require the assistance of Yama? he asked himself, though he wasn't hiding the thought from Glayse. It would be a gruesome task. We would have to offer him something in return, something well worth his time. Then again he takes such pleasure in the task, perhaps that is all the incentive he will need?

No,Glasye sighed in response to Set's statement about being recognized, I guess not.
Yama, the death god? You're not thinking of putting me in a CORPSE, are you?? Let's just kill off some handsome, strong stallion and let me use its body!

( ;D)
Calm down. The point is getting you into a shape that can use its powers. You'll make due with whomever he kills, even if it's a frumpy old spinster with a shimmery pink body and little cotton booties. I can grant any shape you desire once I've regained the height of my powers, but for now you'll have to make due.
(OOC: PM'd ya.)

"Now," Set continued out loud. "How to convince him... Where is Yama anyway?"

"Fine, fine.." Glasye replied, not trying to argue with a god, but at the same time, not terribly pleased with the idea of being *shudder* pink.
"You're a god.. can't you tell where he is?"

"I was getting to that," Set snapped. He settled, reaching outward to Yama's ethereal spirit. I see he's preoccupied at the moment. We'll check back at first light. In the meantime... "We have a few things we must collect if any of this ruse is to succeed. Now is as good a time as any. We need charcoal, a bit of strong wire, and some feathers..." Set began rambling off an odd list while moving across the garden. He indicated that Glayse should follow and assist him.
(OOC: For the rest of the night, Set and Glayse can be off in the woods, the shed, etc., getting this stuff together and we can jump to morning in Rose's home. We'll catch up with Yama when he's ready... and then we'll catch up with Silverfall. Either Rose or Tsuwari can get up first and start the new scene... Set will follow in when ya'll are ready...)

myeh myeh myeh... Glasye mimicked the god in blatant annoyance, forgetting his thoughts could be heard. He then began bitterly humming "I'll Do the Dirty Work".
(ooc: take Glasye where you need to.. I'll be out of town until Monday night, so if you'd just like him to trail you, that's cool. See you in a few days!)

(I just have to add this.)
After a while, Set snapped again. "Quit with that song!"

At last Set had gathered the odd assortment of items. He was placing them just outside Rose's home when he suddenly felt a strange whispering in the back of his mind. His senses engaged, he listened.
What in the Black Barn is that? he asked himself.

(*grins* Yeeessss... that's it. ) Set continued to listen... and as he did, his body stiffened, his ears went flat, and fury began building in his mind. He whipped his head around, looking for Glayse.
