((cont. from Cotton Candy Café)) The purple unicorn youngster was frollicking at the edge of rainbow river, happily tossing her unicorn-streaked white and pink mane. Between flashes of happy memories, random fragments of the words she had herd the night before echoed in her head. Shaking it of, she suddenly got a playful impulse of jumping from stone to stone. The sparkling waterfalls looked so lovely in the soft afternoon-sunshine. She made a takepff from the shore and leaped to the rock closest to her. ((Wating for Dream Chaser))

((oops, sorry. I was waiting for you to pop by the cafe, but I missed it X( Anyway, seeing as that you already posted back at BI, I'll just say that he saw Whisper Wind jump through the waterfall and dissappear. ^-^ Is that ok? if so, I shall continue with that...)) Dreamer looked around wondering were in the world that shadow god had gone off to. Suddenly, he came to pause thinking Why the heck am I looking for him near this river?. The alicorn didn't know why he was there all a sudden, but he guessed that his hooves just kinda took him there. Ahh well, I'm here so I might as well make use of my time here.He looked around the wild landscape, very different to the buildings of Ponyville, and felt the erge to take flight and explore what ever was over and beyond those mighty falls. But no, Dream Chaser knew well, that he should remain here for a while longer so he sat down wearily by the river. Nearby, he watched a young purple unicorn hopping about on the stones of the river. It reminded him of his younger days when he use to do something similar to hopping onto rocks... now he saw himself too big to do something like that... He thought to himself bitterly, How I miss my younger years...((I know he's not that old! but he's not a foal either ))

Whisper Wind smiled happily as she jumped to another stone. She rised on her hind legs and danced around in front of the waterfall. With a sigh, she understood that the spring soon would be here - and her quite hariy winterfur on the hooves would be gone. She was born closer to the north, after all. The filly acted quite maskuline sometimes - and was happy to do so. She enjoyed being that 'different' from everybody else. She remembered the foals that had been picking on her for being soo goofy. No, I have grewn so strong, both on the in- and outside. Nopony wil ever dare to threat me like that again! And she felt happy when she thought about it, not sad at all. And just to proof for herself how cool she was, she leaped into the air to land on a rock quite a big distance away. Yes, she landed on it, but her triumph did not last very long - her front hooves slipped on the wet stone and she flew out in the air in front of her, right at the waterfall. She knew she was going to dash into the stone wall behind. "Waaah!" Whisper Wind was gone. *~

Dreamer snapped out of daydream and watched in alarm as the purple unicorn slipped on a stone and when flying into the waterfall. Hurriedly he jumped up and flew over onto the rock nearest to the waterfall and landed carefully, looking around for the mare... but she seemed to have just... disappeared.
The black alicorn stood there, his jaw hanging loose and emerald eyes wide. Where was the unicorn? He rubbed his eyes and looked around again. No. He couldn't see her anyhere; even if she had hit into the stone wall behind the waterfall, there would have been signs of blood in the water or maybe her unconcious body floating on the surface, but there was nothing. It was almost as though that purple unicorn never was there to begin with...
"I don't get it..." Dreamer scratched his head and frowned. "I must be hallucinating or something, cause this can't be right... Ponies just don't disappear through waterfalls unless..." His eyes widened at the thought. Unless there was something on the other side!
He frowned for a moment. No, there couldn't possibly be some land on the other side of the waterfall; of course he'd heard stories of waterfalls being portals to other lands, but as of yet, he's never come across one. Maybe it was just a cave or something that was behind it and that the unicorn, real or imaginary, will come out from the waterfall unharmed.
But as he waited, there were no signs of the unicorn emerging from behind the waterfall. He began to feel uneasy, uncertain on what to do, except maybe wait a bit longer to see if she'd return...

The young purple unicorn did not return at all. Dreamer had waited for at least over an hour or so, quietly and with little movement, just as he had been trained before when he was to meditate on something. Butterflies (from nowhere it seemed) gathered around him after sometime, and emerald green eyes watched the colourful winged insects fly past, occassionally settling themselves ontop of him.
Butterflies?... He thought to himself. He had an odd feeling that they were somehow linked to the purple mare's disappearance. No, he did not think that butterfly swarms might have kidnapped the youngster on the other side of the waterfall, but there was just something about them...
He shook his mane, the butterflies scattering in every direction. I will think about it for a while... surely someone would know something about this... Dreamer flew over onto the other side of the river, and continued on his way, thinking over the incident...
