Rose was gladly surprised to hear Tsuwari give up the fight so easily. With the excuse of flipping her white mane over her shoulder, Rose snagged a quick glance to Glayse. Surely he had somehow had a hoof in Tsuwari's quick change of decision.
The red unicorn returned to her work with a smug, optimistic smile. Not one for eggs herself, Rose only made a portion large enough for Glayse. Multi-tasking, as Rose learned to do, she'd managed to pop toast in the toaster while presenting her foal with his favorite cereal.
She too, would grab herself some cereal once Glayse's food was done. While waiting and standing patiently by the stove, she flashed the orange stallion a smile, while inwardly her rebellious heart thumbed madly with joy. This was how life was meant to be. Perhaps finally Rose could cultivate her happiness in peace.

As Rose directed a glance at Glasye that clearly questioned his involvement with Tsuwari's behavior fluctuations, the stallion simply raised his eyebrows, returning a question to the observant mare, "what?"
Tsuwari climbed to his spot at the table, eating hungrily once his cereal was set before him. While Rose busied herself at the stove, and Glasye was lost in his own scheming mind, the little foal picked up a few pieces of the round cereal pieces. With practiced inconspicuousness, the foal placed a round O-shaped piece in each nostril, and one on the tip of his little horn.
As Rose flashed a smile at the orange stallion, he returned it with a loving and contented expression, which faded as soon as she turned her back to him again. Dark Rainbow, how long would he have to play the family man? If it weren't for his nightly activities with the red mare, he would have been tempted to bail quite some time ago. Mare, where are my eggs?

About the time it took to prepare an egg later, Rose was presenting said egg and toast to he whom had ordered it. Naturally, with a smile on her face. Rose hadn't recalled feeling so happy in a long, long time. Not since her first encounter with Glayse, and although his feelings may not have been genuine then. Hers was. And it would seem an inkling of those emotions had survived from the ironic murder of opening her eyes to the truth.
Though, somewhere in the back of her mind, something nagged, wondering if perhaps Rose was closing her eyes again to the obvious truth. These musings were quickly squashed by her beating, rebellious heart.
Rose took her seat at the table, bowl of honey nut shredded wheat before her, and sufficing the rumbling in her stomach. Silently, she wondered what her agenda had been for the day. And while she thought, her eyes wandered and stared off distantly. Conveniently, Glayse was in her direct line of vision.

Glasye ate his food in relative quiet, only flashing Rose a charming smile or compliment now and then, or clearing his throat to help his morning voice. Out of the corner of one sunset eye, he saw his son's nostril twitch.
Tsuwari had stifled a half-giggle over the impending surprise on his mother's part of the carefully placed circles of cereal in the crevaces of his face. This laugh, however, caused him to breathe inward, sucking a piece of cereal into his little nose. A sneeze and cough later, one piece of cereal flew across the table, whizzing past Rose's head, and the other was sucked inward.
"Mama...!" Tsuwari whined, slightly nasal, "Mama it's up my nooooose!"

Rose was suddenly snapped from her silent revere. "Wha?," she first stammered. She stood up with some alarm, her body pushing the chair back, and approaching her foal's seat. She looked seriously towards her foal's face, then to his bowl, and then back to his face. Realization over took Rose, and she released a mild sigh.
"Drink some milk," she held out a glass, "I'm gonna tickle you when you drink it. It should go up your nose and shot it out...I think." Rose mused, trying her best at ingenuity. "Or make it soggy enough to go the rest of the way down."

Glasye's eyes remained wide as the scene unfolded. One side of his upper lip raised in a somewhat disgusted manner as the foal's one eye continued to twitch.
"I'm gonna tickle you when you drink it. It should go up your nose and shot it out...I think."
Tsuwari's eyes widened in horror. "I don't want stuff to shoot out my noooose...!" He wailed, occaisionally hiccuping. The little foal looked at his mother helplessly, a piece of cereal still stuck to his horn.

"Well, honey, I can't suck it out.," Rose crooned sympatheticly. "If we don't do it this way, we'll have to take you to the doctors." And Rainbow knew how much of a disaster that would be.
Again, she prompted the glass to his lips. She gave Glayse somewhat of a pleading look. One to state either he help coax the foal to comply, or surprise tickle him.

"If we don't do it this way, we'll have to take you to the doctors."
This only made little Tsuwari more upset, as he hated the doctor's with a vengeance. The foal twisted his head away from the glass as Rose held it to him, clearly adamant upon not having milk shoot out his nose.
Glasye responded to Rose's look with a shrug of both shoulders accompanied by a puzzled look and a shake of his head. It was as if he were to say, 'I don't know! Don't look at me!'
Upon further facial pleading from the red mare, Glasye let out a lengthy sigh, and rose from his chair silently. Coming up behind Tsuwari, he suddenly lifted the foal by his underarms, and with one arm under the foal's chest, squeezed in a swift hug-like movement. Tsuwari's eyes widened as the air quickly left his lungs and the culprit cereal pieces flew across the kitchen.
Glasye released his hold, and Tsuwari took a deep breath, hiccuping once. The orange stallion promptly sat him back in his chair, gave him a pat on the head, and went back to the remainder of his breakfast.
Tsuwari looked at his mother and blinked.

"Or we can do that.," Rose stated with a deadpanned bluntness. Shrugging at herself more so than Tsuwari, Rose began to drink the milk she'd previously offered to the foal. "That's what I get for my lack of lateral thought." She mused to herself.
Setting the glass down she gave Glayse a nod of approval and of thanks. Anyone who could save her the hell of taking Tsuwari to the doctors was a saint by any means, despite Glayse's origins. The thought, however, of Glayse baring halo and harp made her snicker and scoof at the idea.
Then, she contemplated where she could possible find a halo and a harp, and how many days it was till the next Halloween. Perhaps she could bribe Glayse to wear the accessories on that given date. It would prove quite interesting.
"So, what is the agenda for the day?"

(cont. from the neighborhood.) Mainsail and Baby Sea Spray trotted up to the house. Mainsail knocked on the door.

"So, what is the agenda for the day?"
The orange stallion leaned back in his chair and opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. He froze for a moment, a curious frown crossing his features. Who would be knocking at their door? Perhaps that troublesome pegasus, one of his arch rivals who he sadly couldn't kill because it would jeopardize his situation with Rose and Tsuwari. His insides steamed for a moment, but he kept his typical cool.
"I'll get that, Rosey Love.." He said almost between clenched teeth. The large orange stallion stood with grace, and strode through the living room to the front door. He caught a peek of the visitors through the window. Great he grumbled to himself, It's one of Ponyville's happy-perky-rainbow-ponies out to ruin my life...
As Glasye opened the door, and stood in the doorway so as not to allow the visitors in, he fought to keep from scowling. There wasn't one, but two of them. After such a wonderful night last night, what did he deserve this for?
The orange stallion regarded Mainsail and the baby with icy, evil eyes. His ears naturally curved in slightly at the top, giving almost a horned appearance. He stood much taller than both of them, and didn't hesitate to puff up his muscular chest slightly. After staring menacingly at them a moment, he asked in a low voice:
"...Can I help you?"

Rose looked past Glayse as the familiar tapping of someone knocking on her door echoed into her kitchen. The red unicorn recalled she did own a doorbell, and at first wondered why the visitor hadn't used that instead. It was, as she was certain, in a visible spot.
"Glayse, are you...," but the orange stallion had all ready reached the door. Perhaps Rose was being a little too over protective of the fact she was housing him. If he answered the door, how would the visitor react? Would they even know it was Glayse, orange stripe of the dark rainbow? A nagging prickled in the back of her head, and deep in her chest. Without another thought she rose from her seat and assumed the position beside Glayse.
Instead of adding to Glayse's statement, she waited for a response.

Baby Sea Spray shivered a little bit as the stallion was looking evilly at them. She wasn't sure if she wanted to see if Baby Tsuwari could play anymore. But the foal decided to let her mom talk first.
The adult mare smiled. "Um, hello. I'm Mainsail, and this is my daughter, Baby Sea Spray. Sorry to bother you but..." She said.
But she was interrupted by Baby Sea Spray. "Can Baby Tsuwari play?" She asked cheerfully with a grin.

"Can Baby Tsuwari play?"
Glasye raised his eyebrows, then put on his best friendly happy-pony smile. He let out a hearty chuckle, and bent down so that his large head and penetrating eyes were level with that of Baby Sea Spray. His smile quickly faded into an intimidating frowning smile, eyes staring harshly. He said in a low, collected voice:
"No."
Imagine the consequences of interacting with such a cheery happy little pony thing! The stallion inwardly snorted to himself, disgusted at the idea.
Had Rose not been standing right there, the stallion would have undoubtedly tried his charms on Mainsail, simply for the purpose of gaining access to her body for a night or so. But alas, he had to play the family man...

Rose's jaw dropped first in shock of what Glayse had just let go from his mouth. It did swiftly turn into a stiffling of what could have been laughter. She knew deep down that it was far from nice or neighborly to just deny the child a right to play with her foal, but, darn it, it was just the manor in which Glayse said it that made Rose near laughter.
"Sorry, he's still finishing breakfast," Rose promptly followed Glayse as she recovered from her momentary shock. If anything, she'd address the issue later. Now she would be a pleasent adult figure and come up with an excuse and follow up Glayse.
