The black stallion climbed slowly to his feet and meandered over to take a sip of water from the brightly colored water. He wondered for perhaps the hundreth time what made the water so, the Rainbow River was indeed aptly named. The time without his power and only one believer had robbed the stallion of his earlier sleekness and beauty. His coat, black as ebony, seemed dull and almost gray in the sunlight. His hair, hung limply more like some shade of yellow than the spun gold it once was,. and his eyes stared out at the world dismally. Truthfully Eshu considered himself more stir crazy than anything. Being stuck here in the woods was a far cry from where he'd planned to end up. Where he'd planned to end up... Eshu sat himself back down on the riverbank with a whumph and contemplated that. He did a lot of cotemplating these days. A palace maybe... With a big ebony statues of him at the door, with gold plated hair and eyes. A jeweled throne for him. A scribe to write his marvelous deeds... And a dancer, oh what humiliations Jewel would have been made to suffer at his hooves... His loyal mages of course, standing on either side, Jol and Aloha would have been highly honered... If Jol had survived... If they had won... The dark stallion sighed and dipped his muzzle in the river again.

"Hey mon!" Aloha's ever-bright voice permeated the green and gold forest around the Rainbow River. She was been nursing the god slowly back to health, more with her belief than with the food she was bringing. Her happy go lucky nature seemed an odd contrast to his sulkiness, but she was a hard worker, and hey, at least he wasn't dead and gone like the others.
"Les' see mon, I got some bread an cheese an I was actually able to find some good oranges dis time." She lifted her box of food up to show him with a smile - this climate just didn't grow oranges well, it was very disappointing to the Jadan. Setting the box down next to him, she crouched down, "how ya feeling mon? Any bettah?"

From where hsi head rested on his hooves, Eshu looked back at her rather bad-temperdly. "Seeing you always makes me feel better, Aloha." he tried to add a sarcastic tone to that, but if only it weren't so true! His strength was at its pitiful peak when his mage was near. He looked up and slowly dug throughthe contents of the basket, choosing first the cheese to eat, knowing that it would only be wasted if he didn't eat it now in this heat.

Aloha's laughter rippled through the trees like a trill bird. "Mon, you funny." She took a seat next to him and splashed her hooves in the river as it ran past and the colors reminded her of something.
Perking up, Loha-P smiled brightly, "hey mon, did ya see de new temple? S'on de edge of town dere, and I tought, since you a god and all, you should be honored dere too hey? Should I make a paper-mache' bust of ya mon? We put it up dere, den ponies start worshipin you again. Good idea hey?"
